I love Santos but only medium size:)
This is a really nice choice. I have handled one like this with a gold accent bezel and leather strap. I actually like the bezel because even though it's a scratch magnet, it is an indicator of the passage of time and wear. This watch overall appeals to me in a very special way. I consider this my dream watch. Great video Bruce!

I sold my Panerai Luminor Marina and pulled the trigger on this watch and I absolutely love it. I wanted to get out of that huge bulky Panerai divers watch and get into a nice dress watch
It is a classic. I bought the standard one about 30 years ago and loved it. Now I am thinking of getting one again, though not this one which is a little too big. Oddly it is perfect in some dimensions though.
It's amazing, Cartiers in general. I have a Santos on a hirsch brown leather strap and I can't see myself ever parting with it. It's just that good👌🏻this one is huge though😂
You can also point the minute hand at the screw located at every 5min.
The best thing about watches is finding something you love, might not be for everyone, but if it's for you then it's all good.
(For instance, I can't hang with square dial/face watches, just absolutely not my thing, but I like this piece for someone other than me.)

Love Cartier watches I have a tank that Is superb.I find its a welcome change to the mainstream sports watches . I brought it in to add variety . I think I will bring in a santos at some point and when I decide to buy again sometime down the line it may well be this...
I bought one few wks ago with the Blue face and I also have a Date Just with blue face
And I’ve not work the Date since I got my new Santos it’s absolutely incredible super comfortable super classy very understated it’s absolutely perfect

Apart from stylistic reasons (14 signs on each half of the dial) iiii instead of iv is used because during the Roman antique i stood for j and v for u and together ju was short for Jupiter which would have been blasphemy. The design of the watch isn’t something that I would by typically BUT I really appreciate the history of this watch. I think it’s important to respect that history in the design while also improving it where it needed to be. Very interesting watch that carries some weight.
Agree, I think there is a reason why each icon from various brands seem to do so well. History matters to us

Bought my first Rolex last month. 2022 date just 41, planning on buying this watch this weekend
I like this, but I tried on the XL recently and it is too large for this style. If I ever get one, it will be the Medium one.

this watch looks stunning but i wish it was a bit cheaper considering its based on an eta movement the bracelet is a work of art and the fact you can size it by hand is incredible would have it in medium though

Bruce Williams I have 4 four keepers in my collection as well, and my next significant watch purchase will be the denim dial omega railmaster. I feel it’s a more unique choice and I love the quirky dial! So often I see in watch groups people have the same 5/6 watches in their collection and it drives me crazy. Yes they may all be great watches, but how does a copy and paste collection reflect your own personality, character and tastes... I’m sure the skx, squale 1521, sarb033, Lorier Neptune, seiko flightmaster, sinn 104 etc etc are all great. But I like originality personally. Great collection Bruce, great channel great content. Does the 100 have drilled lugs that allow use of any watch strap with regular spring bars? Or is it a design where you have to use a strap that works with the screw pins?

this review made me get a Santos...no more please stop. After going through many brands and mainstream watches, I do find Cartier to be an acquired taste that you get to through a journey (for some, perhaps they start off liking it). but if you asked me 10 years ago, I would have said this style is ugly.

I don't like square watches, I don't care Cartier as a watch brand, I don't enjoy eta movement, I like complications... but for some weird reason I feel immense attraction to this watch. The Santos ... well.. I love it. I don't know why, but I do. It's something that bothers me all the time...

I actually like it. I'm not sure how I stumbled on these Santos XL vlogs, but I'm considering purchasing one. I want the one with the blue dial.May I ask what the MSRP is at Cartier? I can't find it. I'll find a 3rd gray marker dealer to acquire this. I'm just curious the retail price.

I respect the watch for its history and love the case design but the dial is too crowded (because of bold roman numerals) for my taste. They also lost an opportunity to apply decent lume given that there is so much potential to leverage the bold numerals.
