    From the USA here - Cartier is on GOD Tier of all other watches. My next piece will be a Santos w/white dial. Sill debating on the medium or large w/date. IMHO, the green/blue dials can be challanging to read.

      From the USA as well. I bought the midsize white dial a few weeks ago. While I was there I saw the blue and green dials and they are difficult to read as you said and believe it may go out of style and difficult to dress for. I tried the large and immediately thought it WAY too big on my 7.5 inch wrist. Stick with the medium if you are in that range.

    my first "luxury"watch was a Tank Americaine, I bought it with my first proper work bonus in 2006. I have bought many watches since, but I still have it and it's by far the most elegant watch I own. Cartier design is classic, and few compete in terms of looks, their movements may not be much, but design wise they are hard to beat.

    I recently got the two toned version. 35mm wears like a 40mm. I was shocked how comparable it was to my Tag Heuer F1 in terms of wrist presence. I’m not used to square shaped watches. This one will fool many people. On paper it says 35mm but the wrist presence is substantial.

    Hello sir, as a first ever real watch, i am stuck in indecision a bit. I will buy more in the future, but for now, One of these: JLC monoface tribute in Burgundy, this Cartier in white, or Glashütte Original pano lunar in white. I wear dress jackets 6-7 days per week. I enjoy fashion. I use my watches for time and with my psychology patients. I know they are very different from one another, but all three i want. Thoughts? Also, do you ever chat? Thank you for your videos. I thought of the JLC moon slim as well. But maybe the three i noted will put me on a longer journey of buying nifties.

      @@SaintWill70smaller watches aren’t really a trend that is coming back. It is the other way around that the hideous trend of large watches from the two thousands is finally leaving. Style is very personal and subjective. But if you aren’t quite so insecure and afraid of what other people think, I think most people will recognise that a proportionate watch to the wrist size looks a hundred times more aesthetic than everybody wearing a 41mm watch. Larger people can certainly pull it off, but there is nothing that looks more embarrassing than a guy with a 6 inch wrist wearing a 41mm watch. But hey man, if you lack confidence you do you.

    • @pumpkineater0076
      @pumpkineater0076 4 месяца назад

      @@SaintWill70I am no member or repeated visitor of any watch forum or community. I am not too familiar with what the current trend in that community is. My main point is that watches and good watch design is about proportion. A 36mm watch in it’s proportions (thickness, size of the dial, lug length and width) can look far more aesthetic on any size of wrist, than a larger more contemporarily sized watch, that is ill proportioned. What I think is weird about your original comment is that you seem to think that you have risen above a certain size of watch (on paper disregarding shape and proportion), only because it seems to have become mainstream. The cartier santos design looks better in 35mm.
      And you seem to think a lot about if you are perceived as masculine or feminine.

Ps the price of these are just going to go up and up in the near future as everyone has had enough of paying absurd prices for Rolex in the second hand market.
