Great content Andy! Didn’t think of the Ballon Bleu for her but ended up getting a His and Her for our 10th wedding anniversary. Which was a Santos in Large and Medium. Love the design and feel of it..

Went to the boutique to get the new Santos with the brown fume. Didn’t like it but really liked the blue medium. Then the classic white medium came out and it was game over. Left the store with it.

We’re big fans of Cartier in our house. My wife has a steel Tank Francais and a two tone Santos same size as yours. I have the large white faced Santos which I’ve had for a few years now. I absolutely love it and it will never be sold which I wasn’t expecting when I bought it. I suspect you’re getting the same feeling about yours. I very rarely wear it on the bracelet but on a navy croc strap which I got as a as new bargain on eBay. Bonus to that is the bracelet is still flawless.
That Santos. Such an amazing piece. The only thing that keeps me back is the (seeming) issue of legibility. I’ve never seen one in person to be fair, but on camera, it always looks like you’d have to twist your wrist from time to time just to tell what time it is. That being said, it’s such a gorgeous piece it almost doesn’t matter.

As I got mine last month applaud your choice.You might be interested to know that the dial layout was inspired by an aerial view of Hausmans layout of the new Paris.Elongated Roman numerals and rail track based on the boulevards.For the new blue version the palate comes from "Starry Night" by Van Gogh.The most comfortable piece I have and as it goes with jeans but a quick change into gator and your good in black tie.Only worn when no strenuous manual tasks required.

no waiting list, treated well by staff. Wife and I did something similar recently. Only difference was that I got nothing :( maybe next time. The Santos is truly something special.

4:56 Discontinued white dial!? It's still listed on their website, so not sure it's been discontinued? I have the medium white dial, and agree with your points from purchase experience all the way through to wearability. It's a perfect watch that checks several boxes for collectors, and non collectors alike.

I did his and hers watches with my wife too, hoping it would spark an interest for her, or at least a toleration of my interest. I got the latter and she loved hers.
Love the channel, but the audio is too low. I have my volume cranked up and it's difficult to hear.

The Santos is beautiful, almost pulled the trigger but the lack of date function held me back. Still waiting on that elusive call for a 36mm Datejust instead
My problem between them is that the 36mm wears so much smaller than the Santos plus the jubilee is a thief magnet big time
I went into Pragnells in Stratford about a year ago and looked at a brand new medium sized white Santos. I didn't buy it although some discount was offered. I've bought a few other watches since them but still have the itch for that very Santos. Did they stock many preowned Santos models in their used store? I'm very tempted at that price you paid with that saving! Great video and story
Yes, they had a few at the time. Worth checking as they had more stock than the website suggests.
Will have to checkout that shop. Good service in London but didn’t like the guy in Leicester somehow. Some snotty sales assistant aged about 20 asked “Have you actually got any Rolex watches?” - all a bit offputting. They are probably dragging people in off the streets to sell their watches today and good luck to them.

Nice watches Andy. Are these models automatic or quartz movement. I picked up 2 weeks ago the Rolex Starbucks from the AD. Just under 3 years wait. Patient and persistency paid off. Next on the list Rolex explorer polar dial. Going to get another Tudor, and an omega between the next long Rolex wait time. Hopefully the watch will not be discontinued. Enjoy your new watches.

I've had an on going interest in the silver dial 40mm Ballon Bleu, I'd be interested how your wife gets on with her 33mm.
I have a large Santos with blue dial and bezel and absolutely love it. I just cant get away with the round dial Cartier's their designs are all a little to far out there for me.
My wife and I picked up OP41 and OP34 in Silver.. the perfect his and hers IMO. Looking out for your detailed video on the GS Quartz GMT. I picked up the black dial version on a recent trip to Tokyo and love it.
Need to convince my wife to do the same.
