I commented when you got this one. I own the same, and while I like it, I don't love it. Haven't traded or sold it yet, but getting there. I don't know why, but I can't bond with mine. It's a gorgeous piece, and really fits my 7.375" wrist well. I dunno. By the way - be careful of the bracelet. The pins can work loose on their own.
Thanks for the advise. Definitely get the feeling about the watch. I am the same towards a few others. I only don’t sell them because I feel like there may be regret. So maybe we are in that same boat “I’m getting there”
Man!. this watch is painfully Gorgeous 💖💖💖!!. my very first "high-end" watch (i thought it was at that time) that i bought 35 years ago right after Collage was a Cartier Panther Large. it had a Quartz Movement 😔.. i knew nothing about watches, let along discovering the World Mechanical movement !. that Santos is on a different level.. i just changed my mind after watching your video !. i always thought the White Dial is the one to have. but wow. the Blue is something else, and it's also easy to read.... further more. the strap/bracelet swap is a BREEZE (compares with the Panerai Radiomir models).. i will take that Santos over the Rolex (shown in the video) any time. and day. i would even choose it over the Hideous New Patek Cubitus !!. may i know your Wrist Size Please ??. thanks for sharing your experience.
Scratching the high polish bezel to me really isn’t that big a deal. It’s not nearly as bad as people think, as long as you’re careful and don’t banging around too much it’s not that bad.
Can you get a Rubber Strap, if you really want to dial down? I live in a hot climate and leather in the day means I am buying a new strap every 12 to 18 months and steel just gets dirty when your wrist sweats. just a question.
I was looking at the Dumont for a while. Great watch, especially on the secondary market. But the size is what stopped me. That was it, other than that, I would’ve pulled the trigger
It seems harder to read indoor than a white dial. Yes, it's great you can read in the dark but indoor and outdoor during daylight is when I read the time. Usually when it's dark, I am already in bed (maybe I'm just old).
And I guess just a follow up even further, nobody has ever once ever in over 12 years of owning a submariner told me it was a “nice watch” or even mentioned it at all. Such an icon that nobody notices
it’s not a bout noticed You need to learn your history The first Rolex Submariner, manufactured in 1953 and introduced to the public in 1954, bears two different references: 6204 and 6205 and the Santos was created 1970 that’s a big difference it’s just a kid in comparison to the icon rolex
Just got this model last week. No regrets
I just picked up the Longines Conquest Green dial and am ready to get the Cartier Santos, the blue dial looks amazing. Thanks for your input.
Thanks!
That is a beautiful watch, I love the link system and that blue dial looks fantastic. I don't think you talk too much.
Appreciate that!
Very elegant watch big congrats! Better than a Rolex.
En complément d'une Rolex évidemment....
It looks great with the black rubber and green alligator strap
I’ll keep that in mind! Need some straps for my Italian Honeymoon

I am hesitating on buying this cartier or the breitling chronomat 40. U think both have the same bezelscratch resistance?

Love that blue dial, looks great 👍
Thanks!

Yup, search smart link 21 mm rubber strap for Cartier santos. There are a lot of options
@@allthingsrandom8137 Many thanks will do that

Thoughts on the Santos Dumont as an alternative?
I was looking at the Dumont for a while. Great watch, especially on the secondary market. But the size is what stopped me. That was it, other than that, I would’ve pulled the trigger
Stunning watch i think the medium would look better om your wrist
That’s tough. If I went medium, I may have gone the Dumont route
@@allthingsrandom8137 i must wear the medium size the large whas very big on my wrist
Omg this is like the best video I’ve ever seen on RUclips!!
Thanks….
@@allthingsrandom8137 your welcome best friend
Fun Fact the dial glows in the dark & the little white squares, put it underneath light & go to a dark room. Watch it glow!!
That crystal needs way more AR coating.
Great review. I like the way you put it together.
Thanks!
Nice watch, have the green one and love it!
Nice one!
Good Video ! 😊 Truly Beautiful Watch ! Congratulations ! Respect
Thanks! Way more to come!
What size is your wrist?
7 1/4
Thanks
Mine is 7,7 I believe the large model is ok…
Really dig that Santos dude
Thanks!
what made you choose this model over the green and the white?
Every Cartier santos is a white. I have the white also, but for my wedding I wanted something different. The green is not my style.

I definitely get it
the only downside is cartier fumbled the bag by making acquiring additional straps damn near impossible
You are correct. Can’t use any of my own straps..
@@allthingsrandom8137 nah but I mean trying to purchase cartier ones is also a task in itself lmao, I'm tryna get the blue rubber currently
Very nice looking watch!
I love cartier, but i think the new santos is too expensive, when a buy a santos galbee automatic in steel some years ago it cost me 260p€
My santos cost me years ago 2600$ now it cost 7600...just more big,i dont feel they give me for the price
Hesitating between the blue and the white… so hard!!!
Both are an excellent choice
that bezel is a deal breaker. So prone to scratches that it cheapens the watch tremendously.
Definitely understand
Bro, it’s a nice little watch, but you cant compare it to an icon like the sub, the sub will always be an icon and this watch. Well it’s nice.
How is the Cartier Santos not an icon?
And I guess just a follow up even further, nobody has ever once ever in over 12 years of owning a submariner told me it was a “nice watch” or even mentioned it at all.
Such an icon that nobody notices
@@allthingsrandom8137 it may be an icon, but there are icons, and then there are icons!
