I saw a short video recently (probably a troll) of some watch aficionado saying people buy the Cartier Santos because they can't get a Rolex lol.
I'm thinking dude, the current Santos is more beautiful than any Rolex I've seen, that's why I want it instead of a Rolex.
@@TyronieusYeah poor people who own no watches are the only one saying that crap. The same people who say tudor is for people who cant afford Rolex. A real watch enthusiast likes watches in all price ranges they don't have to pick only from the most expensive.
I know people who own so many really luxury brands, but they live in their mom's house. I own a house, drive a Lexus, and I do buy stuff *gtdupe* to put money in my pocket.

Great watch. Always loved the Santos. And I'd probably wear it on a strap A LOT.
Really, really enjoy your videos. Couple of thoughts . . . Use the soft Cartier pouch for your bracelets when you travel. It’s perfect for that. Regarding the “croc effect” leather. Cartier only uses authentic alligator. Yes, the deployant clasp is solid gold. No plating at Cartier. Regarding availability. I’ve seen both sizes of solid Gold Santos de Cartier’s in person at two Watches of Switzerland Boutiques. So I’m surprised that Cartier wouldn’t have them readily available. Perhaps that’s a sales line to increase desire? Just a thought. Lastly, keep up the great work, your videos are so interesting. You’re a great curator of all the things I like!

I too received the pouch from Cartier and was little disappointed, but it's great for my weekend trips when I need to carry any extra watch ya know. Congratulations again!
Good for you but the Cartier Santos is not difficult to get at all. You can walk into any Cartier boutique and get one there is no waitlist like Rolex, Patek etc... also you can actually save money by buying one second hand, they pretty much lose 30% of their value the second they leave the store...

I have the large steel Santos and large LC YG Quartz. This is definitely the highest on my list before a 36 MM day date, champagne Diamond dial. Congratulations!

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. amzwatch watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

Why did you get the ladies size?
Firstly, he explained exactly why he opted for the smaller size. Secondly, this is not marketed as a ladies watch. 35 mm is larger than any previous Santos that has ever existed for men or women, with exception of the current large size. If you are insecure in your own masculinity, maybe that’s an issue you need to look into.

Regardless of the *gtdupe* bag or any other factors, I fervently believe that without the proper expertise, one would not be able to distinguish the appearance of the bag or the changes in the metal parts.

That is probably not a "croc effect" strap, it is most likely real crocodile skin. For the price of the watch it better be.

That much money why buy Cartier?
Dude! I just picked up my brand new Santos yellow gold a few hours ago. They gave me the bottle of the champagne to take with me. I wish they would have also served me a bottle in the store. I got the Large but for me its not too big and gaudy. I'm 6'2" and fit with thin wrists but still it doesn't look overly huge on me. Its my 1st solid gold watch and it does feel heavy. I think the weight will take a little getting used to. Im a little paranoid about banging it and scratching it, but I know thats inevitable. Now I need to find somewhere fancy to go to wear it.
