Cartier isn't to my taste; but, I get it. I just can't fathom why I'd buy a Datejust over a Monta Nobel.

Better clasp, better finishing, better and more accurate movement, rich history. But if one can’t get over that tumor in the crystal and money is more important than advantages of Datejust, Monta Noble is a better choice indeed.

​@@VidtinkuSirogo​ I disagree that the finishing is better; however, since you went there, Omega has superior design language, and greater variety. GS has superior finishing and movements. Anything quartz is more accurate. And rolex has no respect for those who want to buy their product.
Ultimately, there's a bunch of handmade stuff (you've never heard of) I'd buy before Rolex. Rolex isn't special, and it's not a flex.

The datejust that is not fluted on a jubilee is boring. But in this form it is a one and done watch

Never a santos.
A Rolex might not be easy available, but the fact that a Santos is, makes the santos common

It is easy to find to purchase, but it’s still a pricey piece and therefore does still have some desirability. Plus, it’s all around a solid piece - just my opinions of course:)

The Santos is much more fascinating and original. Too many Datejusts out there, they're boring.
