I just got an original cabin but these 'flex dividers' are such an odd design. Good that they compress your clothes, but odd that the entire 'block' just slides and moves around as you try to close it 🥲 ... Do you have any tips or tricks for what works for you?
Ben, our worlds collided! I am also going to Florida tomorrow, and I also bought toothpaste. I use Marvis toothpaste that is made in Italy. Unfortunately, it does contain sodium laureth sulfate!, but it is great. My luggage is from Globetrotter!!

Hi, honest opinion: for carry on go for a mor practical open and close luggage, softer to squeeze in the plane, and lighter, like a Pegase 55. For checking in luggage, an aluminum, non zipper Rimowa is great

Agree with you on so many, many things. You have great taste and source your purchases from my favorites spots, especially Mr. Porter. However, gotta disagree with you on Rimowa. Briggs & Riley also has a lifetime warranty at half the price. And given that I’ve traveled for 30 years I know from experience they stand behind their products. Enjoy your trip! Naples?

I was always told you had to check in the rompes carry on plus. Is this not true? I have the reg check in and need a little more space. My rompes carry on is always too big
The rimowa for an overhead carry on is decent esp if you get one on sale, even more at duty free. I would not have a rimowa check in though

While I like how RIMOWA looks like, I still don’t get what is “luxury” about it? And aluminium is so heavy. I switched to 22” hold-all around 2016 for everything - travel (the longest I travel with it was 9 months, though unplanned), office work, gym when I travel, and it seems to me hold-all is the fastest and the most convenient way of travelling without check-in luggage anywhere
I love my rimowa classic suitcases, but they are so heavy. That's the only con.

Disagree about Rimowa. I have the silver carry on and I instantly regretted buying it. I really wish I had bought one before the LVH acquisition. . The wheels are great but I think the handle feels cheap and unsteady. Also, and this is my personal feeling, but the bags are so ostentatious. I really did not like the attention it drew to me while in transit. Taking it to developing countries like Vietnam especially made me feel like an asshole. It made me realize that I much prefer a cheaper bag that draws less attention and if I do spring for something luxury, I prefer something more understated.
