    Great video bro!

I liked Over the Shoulder the best. It had my preferred level balance between shells and cymbals, wide stereo imaging, and didn't include the honky midrange that's typically heard in the Spaced Pair method.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I was pleasantly surprised by that one myself. I thought it also brought the hi-hat and ride forward more without even having to direct mic them.

Thanks dude! Slowly working on getting my drum chops back in the process; haven’t played drums regularly in something like 20 years. Having a ton of fun getting back into it. If you ever want some real drum tracks to work with for your channel, let me know. Would love to collab.

Best video I’ve seen so far, in regards to breaking down different drum overhead arrangements. The kit is sounding great, but that Meinl Ride… chef’s kiss!

What mics are ya using for Overheads? And what mic ya using on the Kick drum?

For this video I used a pair of sE8 on overheads and on kick I used multiple mics; sE V Kick inside and c314 and Subkick on outside. Since making this video I’ve also started using a BA 19A Boundary mic inside as well.
