What were the other mics that you were using on your full kit, my pic for the snare is Telefunken m80 first, Lauten Snare second and the SE third! Even when raw the Telefunken had a more natural sound and eliminated that ringing in the upper mids and lower highs nothing drives me more crazy than to have that constant ringing in my IEMS because I get a "MIND SPLITTING HEADACHE" about 2hrs into the gig! I would love to hear these mics on both the top and bottom of the snare because it gives it more depth!
You deserve all the recognition for sharing your work for free. Respect!
super goofy demo of a great plugin.....your snare sounded so detached from the rest of your mix...which wow you finally put in context.
Does those drum samples (the bogren digital ones) come with an .nki format to load them in Kontakt or their is an anather way to do it ? Also how do you trigger those samples with the Gojira library ? Thank you for sharing with us your work flow and tricks, awsome work ! Greatings
Cool!!
I have to disagree on the amp guitar tone shootout. To me there was a massive difference in the overall clarity and listenability of tone between the API and the other preamps. If you listen especially to the initial attack and tone of the guitar, there is a clear winner in the API even with the DI boxes. Listen to the extra warmth and stability overall, but specifically in the top end. One thing to keep in mind is that if you're recording with lower quality preamps, that are stacked in a whole mix across different tracks, the lower quality tones build up to create a lower quality mix. Investing in at least 1 quality preamp will make a world of difference overall in mixes, and give depth to your tones and mixes
How can I download the other drum kits you use?
There aren't that many great metal bass IR (compared to guitars) so just that part makes it very interesting.
I really love intro music, where i can found th song sir?
Disappointed you didn't throw an SM57 in there for comparison. Thanks! :)
Sorry. I thought about that after recording this. Totally should have. Next time!
What a beautiful guitar 🤩
Thank you sir!!! Thank you... Just subs 👌🤘
You know the product is good when you feel dirty, guilty and cheap getting it for free. 🤘
Great fucking video! I was wondering if you've tried Silencer from Black Salt Audio? It has revolutionized the way I track drums. Its also a super inexpensive plugin with very easy controls. Its let me really crank the top end on my M80 without worrying about cymbal bleed.
I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard good things. I’ve got a pretty good system going for de-bleeding (which I didn’t use in this video) but I might have to give Silencer a try one of these days.
Out of curiosity - is there a benefit to loading the IR via Libra vs loading it in the cab section of the Neural DSP plugin?
What a friggin killer riff!!!🤘🤘 What is the name of that track? Catchy AF!
Thanks! It’s just something I put together a while back for use in videos on the channel. I never actually released it.
as a metal bass player, you're doing the Lord's work here. (and a Schecter fangirl, too, lol, just got a Hellraiser Extreme-5).
Great sound guys, I'd like to add it to Cubase on MAC, but I'm a new Mac user. Could someone please help me? Thanks a lot!
I got this!! Must have restart PC :D
Did you find it so difficult to try the natas on the analog amp? Why try it in an effects processor? It was logical that it would sound better on the amp
It is insanely cool of you to provide this template. Thank you!
Awesome video. Will check the rest out for tips. Subscribed 🤘🏻
Hey Jeremy. Late to the party on this one, but this was immensely helpful, and I’m going to take this to use on a mix right now! 💪🏻
Quad Cortex hands down but the Brainworkx was not far behind.
Very underrated channel . The algorithm of RUclips has failed
I downloaded the template and have been loving it so far, but I am having a problem where I am unable to program the drum kit to play 2 values at the same time (ex. Kick and hi-hat) does anyone know how to fix this?
Great video!
Alright dude… we need a 2 year review of the pros and cons of your Venus. I’ve been contemplating buying one for a while but I wanna know the pros and cons. How thick is the neck (comparison if possible), does it hold tuning well, and what would you change about it if you could do it all over again?
I liked Over the Shoulder the best. It had my preferred level balance between shells and cymbals, wide stereo imaging, and didn't include the honky midrange that's typically heard in the Spaced Pair method.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I was pleasantly surprised by that one myself. I thought it also brought the hi-hat and ride forward more without even having to direct mic them.
@@JeremyFoxMusic Exactly!
fantastic drum sound...what volumes for kick and snare were used here
Sounding great dude.
Thanks dude! Slowly working on getting my drum chops back in the process; haven’t played drums regularly in something like 20 years. Having a ton of fun getting back into it. If you ever want some real drum tracks to work with for your channel, let me know. Would love to collab.
@@JeremyFoxMusic that's a great video idea! You've got the mixed sound down great.
Best video I’ve seen so far, in regards to breaking down different drum overhead arrangements. The kit is sounding great, but that Meinl Ride… chef’s kiss!
For me the quad was more heavy. Well done with the recordings they both grate
muy bueno
Love following your process... very natural. I'm debaating the Guitar Sim... its Ex. But its a two for one.... Now this makes me interested in the deal!!!
whoever is in charge of promoting this software is a dumbass..I tried the demo version of SpeakerMix and I really liked it but this thing is too goddamn expensive so nobody is purchasing it.... theres like 5 demos on youtube only and when you buy it they give you 10 free cabs only... lol "free" cabs... bro I'm paying 200 bucks for this shit, there's nothing free here....LOL
That amp sim needs some high end taming.
The Discord invite link is broken, I tried to join but couldn't. Otherwise great video and I'm excited to download the snare samples, I've been struggling getting my snares to sound good so maybe this can help.
Thanks for letting me know. Give this one a try: discord.gg/6Q954nxU
I felt like the Lauten snare mic and the telefunken sounded better processed but I’m also listening on the phone. Need to rewatch this in the studio and download the samples and listen to them. Great video! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks dude! Both the Lauren Audio and Telefunken seems to pickup a good bit more top-end, which really comes through when processed. It can actually result in a good bit more cymbal bleed that needs to be addressed when heavily compressing the snare. Regardless, they’re all fantastic and have really nice unique characteristics that I plan on using together in future sessions. 🤘
Hey everyone! Quick FYI, I added detailed chapters in the video description so you can quickly jump around through the different audio examples. After checking out the video, let me know your thoughts on these mics! 🤘
How did you do the drums in this vid?
Amped root best clarity
When you’re not using the stock logic amps, what or where do you find better amp presets?
hey dude, been using this plugin a lot lately. it's really cool, appreciate it!
This is starting to give me a thrashy tone that I’m using for the traditional heavy metal sounding band I’m in.
what amp is this based on?
Thanks, I use this on all my tracks
Hey Jeremy. I love your videos. Any way we could get in touch?
ive been looking everywhere. How do i get more kits?
