I love the sound of birds and sheep in the audio! Makes me feel like I'm in the countryside. Must be nice to get the space (and weather) to record outside
Yes, I would say so. I'd say it's a good trail for a holiday walk, rather than an adventurous hike, and some quite long sections _are_ off road. A new rural recreation officer has come in in Clare since we did the trail, so it's quite possible that more sections have moved off road. There's really nice scenery and things to enjoy whether on or off road though - it just depends on what you're looking for! - Carl
@@ToughSoles good to know thanks :) I found the Wicklow Way had waaay too many service roads, so after going through your videos I'm going to try the Slieve Bloom Way in the next few weeks, so thanks for your wonderful videos!
@@oisinfeeney9260 hey oisin!! sorry to ask, did you by any chance try the slieve bloom way? I’m planning a hiking trip to ireland and I would love to have honest advice on where to go!

@@chiaras6019 Yeah I did... It was AMAZING! Would highly recommend Slieve Bloom Way. You can do it with 2 nights camping, its around 75km
It's a pity you had such poor visibility on certain sections.
Yeah! Some of it was really beautiful even with the rain, but of course we couldn't get too much footage of it. We'll have to go back someday.
