My husband and I first walked the Cotswold Way in 1997 before it became a National Trail. We have since walked it 5 times over the years and will be walking it again in May this year, for the 6th time to celebrate entering our 70"s... We also used Cotswold Walks, they are fantastic and have used them for other walks as well. I came across your video and have to say it is the best realistic video of this walk I have seen , especially if you have never walked long distances before...we were the same as you when we did it the first time and it was done in 5 days!!! We now take much longer to be able to really enjoy the scenery, pubs and the people. So glad you both enjoyed it, we loved watching you and knowing that in a month or so we will be walking it again. Well Done!!!

So glad you're discovering this little piece of the world. We (in our 60's) go out walking in it at least twice a week, it's our stress relief and gym and therapy. The cares of the world just seep away when you're out in that landscape. May I ask which company you're hiking with? A fantastic video and you were so lucky with the weather as the Summers aren't always that great here in the U.K. especially the further north you travel. Unfortunately maybe a bit too hot for walking, but at least you had stunning blue sky views of the countryside, so there are always pluses and minuses. I live only 30 mins away from the Cotswolds so like to go there whenever I can. I wish more North American visitors would not focus on London, but see the "real" U.K. All over the country are Public Footpaths which give people the right to walk across owned land, and indeed these are fiercely protected by hikers and ramblers, which may seem strange to people from the U.S. Indeed the landowners are expected to maintain the paths by cutting back vegetation etc. Of course some of these paths have been used for hundreds of years as routes between villages and other settlements before cars and horse ownership was only for the rich. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos.
