What a wonderful interview. Michael Holding was one of my very few heroes growing up. I was lucky enough to see him bowl in 1976 at the Oval, and it was really something. There was a sense of occasion about it. It wasn't a simple matter of supporting England, it was also about appreciating excellence. Easily the best fast bowler of them all. Seeing Mickey run in and bowl was worth every penny of admission. Me and my friends used to skip school on many occasions just to watch this powerful West Indies team demolished their opponents. Pure fear...and rightly so.
