I use black gorilla tape on the inside of my tires. Seems to work great so far. Ive never gotten to the speeds you are attempting though.

Kevin, You should make a 'lifting body' (air foil shaped body), and turn the back fin into a pair of Elevons that can be programmed to provide either down-force when on the road, and then some control-ability when in the air after launching off the jump.

I believe that bigger diameter tires would achieve higher speeds on grass. Not just due to the higher gearing, but because they reduce the rolling resistance and even out the uneven surface.
As a suggestion try out the Arrma Big Rock's stock tires (dBoots Ragnaroks). They are about 160 mm in diameter and they are quite firm and do not balloon. 💪🏻🙋🏻

One thing that works pretty well is using a thicker bicycle tire tube. Cut into strips and glue them to the inside just like your dry wall tape. 1/4 inch overlap at the end to hold the bond. 😎👍

For good plastic glue use Armaflex glue, it desolves the rubber and plastic and bonds it tight together. Just use a bit, let it dry a moment and then put the both components together. Hope I’ve helped you a little.

Another thing you can try with the ballooning tires: put a layer of the mesh right on the rim, then cut up a bicycle inner tube, put shoe goo on, slip on the inner tube then another layer of mesh, more goo and another layer of inner tube. Build it up until you get the diameter you desire.
Basically that's how they make vehicle tires (only apply layers of actual rubber over the steel belts)

Kev I have a Tip for you. I know that this motor is just a try but that 4mm banana plug system is not really good. For the best power you have to solder the Motor and the Esc together, you can get more amps through the cables as with these 4mm plugs.

Don't go with two motors, order a single motor from NEU with a shaft coming out both ends. They did it for me when I built a Kyosho speed runner. It will cost you $300 or more but you won't be disappointed. You could also ask TP POwer to build one like that for you too in 4070.

Hey kev! You will need better lipos...your banggood lipos are mabye good for bashing...the genc ace are defnitly better but still not enough. If you are putting that much Power in your rig will need something that is able to give the Power...so you will need lipos that can do like 60c or 80c...that can be one Problem why you are still on 66 mph.

I ran into the same a problem a whiles back, couldn't find belted off-road tires.
Oh, and no, you're not getting 100mph on grass, never gonna happen, nope, never!! 😆 🤣 😆 😄 😂 But have a blast trying!! 😁 That's what it's all about, pushing the limits!! 😎👍

It actually looks awesome. And RC manufacturers should look at this as an option, a long wheelbase RTR. If that small piece of lexan was formed to fit the fin on that uppermost part of the factory shell it would look epic. It basically looks like an off road F1.
Bro, dog video! Parks are the best, and every park is a dog park. I was worried the first time that dog owners would be Dicks, but quite the opposite. And, the dogs love it, at least they love my Fireteam on high speed gear! So yeah, I gotta see a dog park video done by the man!
