I’m loving this RC! Glad I finally found the 1st build video of it!! Kevin, you really do a great job keeping my attention with your awesome personality.
Thank you Kevin for keeping the videos going. We discovered your channels during COVID and your positivity and excitement are a breath of fresh air, and effective at quieting the negativity in the world right now. I’m looking forward to whatever mods/build your going to do with the MAXX 4s. Keep up the fun and smiles.
Typhon Buggy good choice of car as with the Typhon you will keep or four wheels on the ground way more easy than with an outcast. No need to make it long wheelbase (although it won't do any harm). Change of gearing will see you hit over 90mph with the car. To hit 100? It can be done with the stock car, but given your limited run up area at paddlesworth I'd go with 8S if you want to hit 100 in that smaller space, but with 8s it may want to wheelie more, that said on grass the wheels will spin more which should help it wheelie less. Maybe just a smaller 8s powerhobby pack rather than two 4s pack as weight is going to be an issue as well e.g. lighter car at higher speed should fly further. You should contact Thomas from Tp-Extreme on Facebook/RUclips for advice on the big air typhon setup (shocks and diffs as Thomas shoots all those big air videos at gravel pits you see on youtube). I've owned Typhons V1 to V4, and never had one break (Except when I hit a curb head on doing 73mph!). Spool a better idea than the ear plug if you're going to fit 8S. Only problem is squeezing in an 8S esc. I await the end result with interest! Hope some of the above helps.
Very nice Kev!👊Long jumps are fun for sure! My PB so far is 200ft with my V4 Typhon. I agree they are the perfect platform! Had to use Foam tires, 30 tooth pinion and a Graphene lipo!😜Car is looking Badass! Thanks for sharing the awesomeness of the M2C beef! PERFECT for the job!🚀Good luck and look forward to the vid!😎👊🤘🤘
Thanks bro. Paddlesworth has a grass runup so gotta make it as fast as possible on grass. Building a twin motor for onroad speed runs, not for jumping :)
Hey Kevin, I’m 13 years old and I have a 2 wheel drive Slash Mike Jenkins edition, 3-s, VXL, OBA, TSM, etc... it currently broken from the rear driveshaft and some what kind of dirty. You’re the person that inspires me to get into rc cars. I’m pretty broke, but the bright side is I’m am going to start working for my dad and going to start making about $200 USD a week. What loads of money for a thirteen-year old right? Anyways, Kevin much inspired me to rc cars, mine is currently broken and dirty, but when I start working I’m going to give it to my little brother or dad to fix on it. I am going to save loads of money to buy another rc car, not sure which one, I’m going to buy a great battery and a good car for sure. Thanks...
Hey Kevin I would like to see you do videos about cars that the average person can afford to buy and modify!! The RC vehicles that you buy or given and destroy on a regular basis most people could only dream about!!
Kev, I just bought a typhon and did the upgrades and didn’t have the issues with screws not coming out, except the motor mount adjustment screws. That’s strange you had to use so much heat. Servo mount, servo and radio are a must out of the box unfortunately. Stock tires lasted 4 runs, junk! But........I love the car besides that! Oh and don’t forget to set your punch setting to 9!!!!!!!!!
Yeeeeeeeeeah that max 6 is going in there 😜 , by the way Kev if you read this use the RR hinge pin plate for the front , it removes the need for the plastic one and there’s no need to use the red one behind it too
Hi, Kevin, im Dana from the 🇺🇸 USA, never talked to you before, though, I enjoy your content, looks like your getting, so popular, you have hater fans aswell, saw you had about 18 thumbs down, i wonder if they just follow you around and thumbs down you everywhere you go, lol, people are so jealous, or don't have there own life, its really sad, cheers, can't wait to see if you can get this to go 155mph or more,lol.Dana.
Hey, I had a question for you, and I want to see what you think because you know more about rc than me. I want to completely custom build the jlb cheetah with electronics. I also want it to go close to 70 miles an hour. I’m on a tight, very tight budget, so I don’t know if I should go all in and get everything, or just get enough so I can bash and get the 200$ worth of speed parts. The speed stuff includes tires, a better wing, and active aero for the wing. The regular parts will be a PowerHD servo, hobbywing max10 sct esc and motor, and a flysky gt5 radio and receiver. It costs about 850 with everything, but with only the bash parts, it’s 665. Please answer and let me know what you think! I’m sorry this was such a long comment.
Very excited to see this build!! If it becomes a best I may have to repeat the build!!! Better than the Traxxas E Revo 2.0??? I am really thinking of selling it anyway and at least getting a Maxxine!!
Kevin! MOST EXCELLENT CHOICE MY MAN!!! I don't suppose you have a P.O. Box for "fan mail" do you? I just so happen to be building my Typhon as well, and I made a couple goodies for it on my 3d printer that I am sure you would love for that sweet, sweet new ride. Lemme know, I would be thrilled to send you some cool stuff for that bad boy!
If you want a solution to the locktite problem, use Vibra-Tite 111 Purple (low-strength) locktite. Comes out pretty easily with tools but still strong enough to hold screws in when bashing 👍
I always thought that the pinion gear could get damaged because there is a hole in the bottom of the chassis, a pebble might go in there or something and break a tooth
Well, I rarely ever see gravel or anything get in or stay there (most of where I run in is heavy gravel). I tend to be more concerned with the gravel (or whatever) binding up the steering, getting wedged in the a arms or other suspension components, or wedged against any of the driveshafts (where if you don't notice it, will just continue to wear and cut into them as the car runs), or even taking out your cooling fans (if you run those). In any case I've never lost any gears due to that, but you can never say never (knock on wood).
As for the body, there is a channel called Raz Shifren and he used a few spare parts to bring the rear body mount forward on his speed run typhon. Looked awesome and held at well over 100mph. Awesome work Kev!
voltage hobbies makes some really good towers and braces as well, i have had no issues over the last 2 years, those m2c pillow ball retainers saved me from a massive headache of the stock ones constantly backing out

I’m loving this RC! Glad I finally found the 1st build video of it!! Kevin, you really do a great job keeping my attention with your awesome personality.
neat how versatile the Arrma vehicles are. You can just take all the parts and it slaps right onto another chassis!
Fantastic choice and build Kev 🤗. M2C for the win. She's gonna be a screamer for sure. Can't wait to see her fly. 😱😎💪👊👊
Thanks man, I hope she flys well!

That’s the first time I had Kev swear “bastard strength loc tight “🤣🤣🤣
My son is only 2 years old and absolutely loves the vids future basher 😅. Keep up the good work. Epic build 🤙
It’s sad how people just click on this just to dislike
I must agree with that
but how would they know if thew weren't notified
I "smashed the like button"
It's fine, there are only 22 people who disliked it and they are probably the haters.
@@ZeD69420 yup
Ken , that is a great idea I have learnt from you today using a soldering gun to warm the lock tight out of the screw
Kev being kev ! Lol ! bet he's going to win !!!!!

Yes get a xmaxx I had both and sold the revo 2.0 and got a xmaxx and love it
A tip for stopping it from doing wheelies is loosening the slipper clutch 👍
You're gonna win Kev I can feel it. Your car is coming along nicely. 👍
Nice build Kev! Should be a contender for 1st for sure! 👍💪✌

Hello Kevin Talbot I have been watching your videos for a year I come from Germany
But I love your videos please keep going so
Awsome setup 👍🏻👍🏻
Finally a Typhon!!
Iv’e ben subscriber since 20k and your videos just getting better and better
So keep up the good work😁👍👌
I really enjoy the wrenching videos
I always thought that the pinion gear could get damaged because there is a hole in the bottom of the chassis, a pebble might go in there or something and break a tooth
Exactly what I was thinking
It’ll just fling the pebble out, and also if a pebble gets in another way, it’ll get out through there
