- Tsuyoshi by Maruyama Kyosuke is a martial arts manga that I picked up randomly and I have mixed feelings about it. It’s so unique but also very random and out of pocket. But I definitely enjoyed it, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have made this video.

karate is good, hear critics buts also try it for yourself, traditional styles can give you a strong body and good footwork, and kyoksuhin will make you surprisingly rock solid, muay thai, boxing and Sanda are all good options, try it yourself, you will probably enjoy, and if you dont you can go on and try the next style 🤌

I liked it at the beginning... but it becomes really depressing. The guy just wants to have friends and a normal life... but others are only interested in him because of his fighting.
But i did like that chinese kid and the fat retired karate guy bring friends but thats around where i dropped it

Systema isn’t a bad martial art but it attracts a large woo woo crowd. It became a propaganda martial art.

@@TheWildCard2k the creator of systema wanted to create the Russian equivalent of Krav Maga. He arguably succeeded, but being a distinctly Russian art in the time of Putin it was turned into a propaganda tool the way Tai Chi was for the present day Chinese Gov. This caused the martial art to go down a woo woo path which drew in the hippies and less sane members of the martial arts community. The art kinda stagnated as a result.
You say that like Krav Maga isn't full of crazy and woo woo people. It's the kicking children while picturing yourself as John Wick martial art.

Finally, Tsuyoshi mentioned. Been following it for a few months now and always grateful to the translator group that does mass releases every time.
10:16 you could also compare him to Sakamoto and saitama given that he also fits the bill for those mannerisms as well or at least that’s the vibes he gives off in terms of being one of the most talented martial artist of all time mixed with the fact that he kind of wants to lead normal life but at the same time like Saitama he’s kind of a little bit unfazed by anybody who comes into the ring to challenge him yujiro is kind of the last thing I would compare him to I would say the similarities is the fact that two countries and super powers of the world want him to join them but I think that’s where the similarities kind of end with the way super powers of the world treat him and Yujiro I still would say he’s more Sakamoto-ish and Saitama in terms of the vibes he give off

Man you should definetly try Garouden if you like Baki so much ( it's by the same author, Keisuke Itagaki-Sensei ) and also - Teppu and Tough ( if you like Yujiro then you'll definetly like Kiryu, he's such a cool character 😎 )

The thing that kept me reading Tsuyoshi until I caught up was that despite how ridiculous some stuff is, there's some genuinely human stuff in it. It's more than just endless optimism, it gets dark, it gets intensely close to real life.
The soap opera part of Tsuyoshi is the best part for me.

My personal problem with the Manga is the underutilization of the character ShiFei
As i believe that Shifei has the most story potential out of anyone but is only given panels and ends up feeling 2D in character but has the potential to be a very complex and story involved character

A great martial arts manhwa with realistic portrayal of martial arts is how to fight/viral hit. It's a bit slow in the beginning but gets better after the protagonist learned calve cick.

a better comparison to this manga is more like one punch man only instead of saitama being a hero for fun he gets annoyed by anything heroic

I have not finished Meguru yet🤔, but man Tough is one of the best martial arts manga ( Kiryu for example was such a cool character 😎 )
I also love Holyland, Garouden, Teppu and yeah ofc Baki and Kengan Ashura too ( although I like martial arts manga that are more... Let's say realistic and grounded in real life techniques )
That time period in my life when I started reading martial arts manga really inspired me to start training MMA irl and I will be forever grateful because I enjoy training so much more because of Garouden, Holyland, Tough, Baki and Kengan ( all of them have a lot of extremely cool workout and fighting panels that completely changed my perspective on training in general )

My main problems with tsuyoshi is the main character and the martial arts aspect. With the main character he’s a self centered prick who can’t think for the life of him why people sacrifice things to pursue the things they love and with the martial arts bit as in the first 40 chapters or so whilst it has the tag comedy in it during the fight scenes it really presents itself seriously and just stood as a Chinese martial art propaganda manga. I didn’t read after that cause it was annoying me too much but if it does get better and my points are no longer valid then I’m might pick it back up but rn it’s poo

Tsuyoshi's mother is stronger than him and the poor guy becomes more and more paranoid because everyone drags him into criminal political trouble and every woman he knows is a liar who takes advantage of Tsuyoshi.
