I had a camden stout smooth yesterday and it was fantastic
I’ve avoided that one , but I’ll give it go mate . Cheers for watching 🍻Speno
I love the West Indies Porter , but drink Guinness when it’s not available .
Just tried the black heart and for sure I prefer it to normal Guinness , but still sticking with my West Indies porter 👍🍀
It’s a good one 👌🏻. Thank you very much for watching and for your input .cheers . Speno🍻
Forged blows both of them out the water in my opinion , fantastic stout ! At least black heart & forged use real hops , unlike Guinness using hop extract . Respect lost for Guinness straight away for me because of that .
Cheers for watching mate and I really value your opinions. It’s one of the reasons I do this to get great constructive feedback like this . It’s all subjective and it’s all a great learning curve to .
Cheers 🍻. Speno 😊
1) Forged 2) Guinness 3) Black Heart
I can't find evidence that Guinness doesn't contain hops. Their own website says it contains hops. You sure that isn't some false internet rumour?
Forged is brewed with wheat, where as Guinness contains no wheat at all. I think that is the biggest flavour difference for me. Forged has that slight weissbier taste to it, that I think doesn't really belong in a stout. Much prefer Guinness!
That’s a very interesting piece of information there . Cheers 🍻😊
Hi mate, love your beer vids. Nitros go thinner & settle the longer they are left after the pour. The last beer would seem thinner, it was left for 20 mins. Try it again but open & pour as you move into each beer. 👍
To be fair , I hear you on that and that’s a great point . I’m not finished with these beers yet 😉. More waffle to come . Cheers mate 😀🤟🏻
The forged is a nightmare to get hold of and the brewdog tastes like ass.guinness seem to be focusing on the non alcoholic cans at the moment the Normal pint cans didn’t last long on the shelves but the nitro cans are lovely
I drink some awesome stouts , but I still love a Guinness. Cheers for watching and for commenting 👍🏻😀 Speno
Have yet to find anything that comes close to Guinness. Just found your channel and you've gained a new subscriber. Sláinte from the U.S. my friend!
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing 😊means a lot . Just shows how great Guinness is as it’s enjoyed all around the world. sláinte to you my friend and welcome on board 🤜🏻🤛🏻 😊Speno
Guinness always wins these types of comparisons for me. It has that creamy smoothness to it - there's no other beers that do it quite like Guinness. Murphy's is probably the closest but it's lighter and less bitter. Another one that comes close for me is Beamish (which isn't popular over here across the pond) - but I saw it on a couple channels and sought it out. It's a little more bitter than Guinness but has that creamy/smooth taste. I've yet to try Forged but I'll pick it up since it's fall/winter season... that's when I usually drink darker beers
Great comment mate and thank you for watching 😊. I’ve been trying to get the other two stouts , but cant find them anywhere. Hopefully one day I will and can do another comparison. Cheers 🍻😊Speno
Will send this review on to my old man, he’s a stout fan!
Cheers Jimbo 👍🏻😊. Hope he enjoys it .
Funny you should say that you we're struggling to get it, I lived in Birmingham up until a month ago and couldn't get it in Asda at all. Moved to Lichfield and got it from Asda Tamworth, maybe they dont think it'll sell in Birmingham?
I’m sure over the next few months it will appear everywhere.
I’ve tried to get a few beers in Leicester Asda that are in other Asdas , and with little luck , then …… boom , it’s in .
Cheers for watching 😊. Speno
I've tried Black Heart, it's a nitro like Guinness not my fave, bit bland for me. Sounds like conners a bit lacking...yes mix em up👍🍺
Great comparison mate for me Guinness wins too, sadly Forged just don't do it for me I found it to sweet. I don't mind the odd can of black heart but its not a session king like Guinness becomes to intense
I knew you would agree mate . Our taste buds are brothers 😄. Wonder who else is gonna try and take the spot . Cheer mate . Have a great weekend 🤜🏻🤛🏻😎
I’ve been looking forward to this all week!! Brilliant review well done Speno. Really appreciate you taking the time to film this.
I completely agree with you, I was gutted when I tried the forged Irish stout as there’s so much hype for it. I think the flavour was good but there was no cream, really watery.
Black heart.. I think they’re just trying too hard and have overpowered the flavour. I’m glad Guinness still comes out on top!! You can’t beat it.
Cheers mate, keep up the good work 👍🏻 oh by the way I’m a bloke sorry to disappoint 🤣🤣. 30, from Kent.
Ha ha . Just commented on your other comment lol . Cheers for watching and really glad you agree . Was worried I might disappoint you .
Cheers man 🤜🏻🤛🏻😅
Can you you do versus Guinness vs Murphys comparison please
I will mate . Always great to be asked to do these videos . Cheers 👍🏻😊
What's with all the sniffing ?
Great question 🤟🏻. It’s Part of life when covid colds grab us . 😂. Stops the snot getting in the beer , although there’s some beers Ive review that could benefit with the added ingredients 😀. Hope your ok mate 👍🏻
Do you like the Guinness coffee beer ?
I’ll be honest , I’ve had it once after I’d had a few so couldn’t really comment. I’ll give it a go as a first beer and see what I think . I’ll do a review on it 👍🏻. Cheers for watching 🍻😊
Ok thanks mate
Very minimal roasted notes on the Guinness, it's made to appeal to the masses now and nothing like the drink it used to be and more of a dark mild than a stout these days. only clueless people would call it a stouf now... Blackheart is far superior, and tastes like a stout should taste and not with bitterness removed to appeal to average joe.
Really appreciate your comment and like I say , it’s all subjective , so no one’s right and no one’s wrong. Personally these are my opinions and I still think that Guinness is a great Irish stout ( A nitro stout so smooth) Have you tried the Guinness original. Give that a go . Cheers mate 👍🏻🍻Speno
I might try running the forged Irish stout through the nitro surge to see if it’s any creamier🤷🏼♂️
I recon it needs to be warmer. Around 10 degrees. Got a few more experiments to do . What did you think of the Forged stout Sam ?
I wanna find somewhere that does it on tap to see if there really is a difference
Mulligans in Manchester have it on . A place I wanna go sometime. 😎
I've tried it with my Nitro Surge, and it was definitely an improvement over just pouring the can and got at least an inch of thick head that way. Just sorry to see they're 440ml cans. However, I've also been to the Black Forge in Dublin, had their steak and a couple of pints, and there was a marked difference. It's definitely much, much better on tap (but then again, so is Guinness when you get in a place like Bowe's or Kennedy's in Dublin :) ) But, in conclusion, it won't ever beat Guinness, for me it's a bit like a dark roast coffee that's isn't brewed strong enough, it has bite and lot' of roasted notes, but sadly thin. Guinness is more a full medium roast coffee, that's been brewed strong.
Cheers a lot for watching and for a great comment. Great you’ve managed to go the the Black Forge inn . Might try it through the surge cap . Totally agree with you opinion on these beers . Cheers a lot ☺️. Speno
