Corgi Volkswagen T1 Custom project "Occasional bus". Toy model cast.

I bought a Volkswagen T 1 for spare parts. However, I decided to save this valuable 1960 model. It was originally sold as a service vehicle for racing cars. It also formed a gift set with a trailer and a racer. Many parts of this Volkswagen were quickly lost and a rebuild in the original was impossible. I created my design based on the iconic Volkswagen. I also made a box based on the Corgi. I thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I guess you were thirsty... Ever thought to buy a lightbox just for the pictures on your printouts? This is a small thing which brings a huge improvement. Painted window frames would add a bit more realism. Very nice thoug! 👍

Superb job! Nice to see your conventional restorations but this is beyond that - an imaginative re-working. Dismiss any criticism of the details - you have created a "toy" that may have come straight out of the drawing board at Corgi or indeed the kind of model the French Dinky factory may have created. I would have craved this aged 8!

Były dwa modele Corgi, które "mały Paul" chciał mieć w tamtych czasach, VW laweta i Landrover.
Nigdy ich nie dostał...
Dziś "mały Paul" jest już starszym mężczyzną...
I jest szczęśliwy, gdy znów widzi te perełki 🤩
Pomysł z "piwną ciężarówką" jest genialny 👍🏼🤩 Dla mnie to jeden z najwspanialszych projektów, jakie kiedykolwiek miałeś na stole warsztatowym. Ale wisienką na torcie jest "oryginalne" opakowanie Corgi (niestandardowe). Powiedziałbym... JOU, dobra robota 😃

There were two Corgi models that "little Paul" wanted back then, the V-dub tow truck and the Landrover.
He never got them...
Today, "little Paul" is an old man...
And is happy when he sees these gems again 🤩
The idea with the "beer truck" is brilliant 👍🏼🤩 For me, it's one of the greatest projects you've ever had on the workbench. The icing on the cake though is the "original" Corgi (custom) packaging. Would say... JOU, well done 😃

Er hat sie nie bekommen...

Cześć Paul. Bardzo miło, jeśli wykonałeś tę renowację. Ale chyba została mi jeszcze taśma szerokości 5 cm, również spryskana na niebiesko. Wytnij kształt dachu, ramy drzwi oraz wsporniki tylnego dachu. I przykleiłem go do szklanego dachu. Ale to nie jest mój projekt. Na szczęście każdy robi to tak, jak lubi najbardziej. You always do a great job, although with this one I feel that the barrels are too shiny and plastic looking. Perhaps a silver or steel paint job would have helped? Also the clear plastic cover just seems poorly designed. Adding supports and a roll bar behind the cab would make it look like the front doors could open, also some sort of thing to designate a door or hatch for loading the barrels.
Regardless of this, it is still a fantastic looking job.

This is so cool! Here in Canada, Volkswagen trucks are _very_ rare. I have been paying attention to such things since about the mid-1980s, and I have only ever seen one on the road. That vehicle was being used by a local dealership, and so it may not have been sold, rather just a special import for advertising and promotional purposes.
