    Lumen Field in Seattle should be higher on the list. Probably the best home field advantage in the NFL not to mention it’s a beautiful building. Most rankings I’ve seen online have this as a top 5 stadium. My only issue with it…should have had a roof. Going from a closed stadium (Kingdome) to an open stadium in a city that gets a lot of rain and unpredictable weather is it’s only downfall. Not a bad seat in that building

    As someone who traveled from the south as a packers fan to see Lambeau for the first time last year, it was incredible. first of all the bengals stadium is very underrated when it gets packed it’s perfectly fine, and for the last time, THE SEATS ARE GREEN TO REPRESENT THE JUNGLE, NOT JUST SOME RANDOM COLOR!! Making them orange and black would be too much because the field is already orange and black.

  • @pebmets
    @pebmets Год назад +18

    You need to do some more research. The reason why Metlife Stadium has those color seats is to give a neutral feel to the Stadium since the Giants and Jets both play there. The Jets use to share Giants Stadium with the Giants. The seating and the feel were Giants which was a big Jets complaint. When the two teams agreed to build Metlife, the seats were purposely neutral color so it would not be Jets or Giants colors. Other parts of the stadium are modified on game day to give that home team feel, but obviously you can't change seat colors so that is why it is the way it is.

    While I do think the Soldier Field renovation was botched, I think its severely underrated. Why would they go with such a modern aesthetic and not something more classical to fit with the columns they kept from the original stadium I'll never know, but having lived just a 15 minute walk from the stadium and having gone to events there- I would argue its one of the more elite outdoor stadiums in the NFL. Sitting along the lake in Chicago, its an incredible atmosphere and vibe surrounding the stadium, the way it sits along the Chicago skyline is magnificent, and the interior seating bowl is incredibly unique in the way it is designed. Also love the seating color.
    The way the old is mixed with the new is such a unique aesthetic for the NFL. Also, Metlife & Levi are way too damn high. Easily bottom 5 stadiums. Metlife given it serves the New York City area and is already outdated, Levi for much of the same reasons, albeit slightly more aesthetically pleasing.

      Naw. I feel the complete opposite. The only time where I thought it was great I'd when it's used for Festivals/Concerts. For NFL and Football/Soccer...it's pretty dull. It always gives off a work in progress stadium feel. The seats on the second level at the back or ends give off a skewed perspective. It's as if there is something missing, a void. Doesn't give off its a giant stadium at all

    • @PapaVanTwee5

      What Soldier Field was known for was that front facade. They didn't want to take that away. By that same token, making the rest of the stadium look like a spaceship is just... off. It doesn't fit the area. They should have stayed with the same look, just make it modern. If Indiana can turn that barn look into a world class football stadium, so could Chicago. Although now it's too late, the Bears are fleeing to Arlington Heights.

Indiana has the most schools competing in VEX, due to Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard opening up funding for schools to participate. They tried to remodel it and put a retractable roof on about 4 years ago but it would’ve costed more than a new stadium with there being tons of businesses and another stadium right next door I don’t see it ever happening, but I think with more natural light and 3k more seats would make it a top 10 stadium. FYI; an historical note that's been forgotten outside of Wisconsin. The bowl section of seating at Lambeau Field is still in the configuration of the design that was proposed and excepted when it was built as City Stadium. That design was submitted by Curley Lambeau who played college ball at Notre Dame. He basically copied the design of Notre Dame stadium. That stadium was designed by Knute Rockne to give fans a great view of the field from any seat. Built only to watch football, not for multi use. It'll never host a superbowl, but if you want season tickets put your kids name on the list if you're over 40.

    13th for Lumen Field is a crime. I went to a game in the middle of one of the largest blizzards in Seattle history and I still had a world class stadium experience. It’s true that most of that has to do with the fan environment, it’s what puts it over more modern stadiums that suck like Levi’s or have a stale environment like SoFi
    The fact that a stadium 100,000 miles away from the city they actually play in with no shade whatsoever from the hot California sun unless your a rich tech guy that don’t have fans who show up when their team is trash is ranked higher than a downtown stadium with unique seating, the second loudest crowd, and decent shade should be a sin
