Wow!!, our "retirement condo" will not be this amazing but do able for us.. !! Thank you for many ideas that we can transfer to our condo design!! Currently, we live in a converted 32' cargo trailer that is also off grid capable!! Nice!! We pull our home with a 2018 Ford F350. Then will build the condo on the flatbed when it is time!!!! Enjoyed the tour!!

That is some seriously impressive work and craftsmanship. Jason seems sensible, practical, and above all extremely knowledgeable. This is crazy. Very very impressive. It would take me a long long time and a lot of failed attempts to build what he has.
This video was so inspirational and extremely helpful. I’m a mechanical engineering graduate student working on something similar to this on my flatbed Tacoma! I want to build everything myself just like Jason. I’m in the solidworks phase now! I’m going to borrow a few of these ideas ESPECIALLY the extending solar panels!
So I want to build an overland truck camper but after watching Jason's videos I feel like even if I was in a million dollar motor coach it would just be a van down by the river. The detail and thought out into this build is like NASA space camper level insane. I just want the ac and that water heater really though. So smart m. So I credibly unbelievably smart. Dude. If you could spend some time in a time machine we might actually get there. ;)

I remember watching a much earlier tour of this truck. I think the water solution is a great idea. Stainless steel and they don't grow furry creatures like my camper and I'm in the process of removing the water tank to inspect and clean it as we speak. Fun wow. I still have to find the water leak.

No thanks, We've had campers with windows where camping in snow results in condensation collecting and running down the windows, and rotting out the walls and molding be backs of cushions...
Jason’s a genius!! Only thing i would have done is make a pass through from cab rear window into camper. So your not stuck inside if cartel type situation happened etc.
Having the skill to weld the frame would be an excellent opportunity to use on a van cab and frame chassis. Ford and Chevrolet vans are great, but not tall. Building such a structure would maximize space and have a wider body than a Sprinter or Promaster. A LWB Chevy Express and a metal frame roof would allow for solar panels and a deck or carrying capacity.
