I’ve had the Palosanto 1 and 2 edgers for about 8 months and I am super happy with them. A tip for keeping them sharp is that besides regular stropping, a thick or doubled up piece of thread coated with green polishing paste, rubbed back and forth along the inner groove does a great job.

Tony, I was a skeptic of your channel when it started, but your passion and willingness to help grow the community has me promoting you, your tutorials and your patterns every chance I get. I know you typically hole punch your patterns, but I'd be interested in your review on pricking irons, stitching prongs and stitching awls.
I made this suggestion before and got some positive feedback from you but I've not yet seen anything on it from you....
What about some more affordable tools for us not so rich folk? Owden for example sells a beveler for $35 a tool as opposed to the $75 ones you just bought. I'd love an individual review of those and/or a comparison video.

I own an Owdenn French. edger and also a Ron’s and Palosanto French edger. The Owden is every bit as good, if not better than the others. I’ve owned a Palsano #2 and #1 edge beveler for a while now; before Owden had a offering. I love the Palosanto bevelers. They’re also easier to sharpen than you’d think.i run them over a strop and also use some heavy thread with green compound across the center.
You can purchase one from Districtleathersupply.com for $75 then $45 gets you the blades for different sizes and just change to the desired size.

I have these, and i will NEVER use any other than them. They are great. I got the full set, and actually went back and got the switch awl and the sticking awl. The creaser, the hammer and oh yah the burnishing drimel set. LOVE Palosanto.

I use my Palosanto #1 beveler on some floppier and thinner leather. I dot get a beautiful one piece curl like Tony go, but it Les an overall good job. I really Le tem and I love the Cocobolo handles.

Can you show us how you create your patterns? Full cycle: from idea to printable version? In other words, can you make review on your most expensive tool - your talent?
I asked him about this on the most recent live stream, he gave a pretty emphatic, "nope". Tony here is a business man, not a tutor. Can't fault him on that, really. But it is something I'm having trouble finding.
Great video Tony, your opinion is greatly valued. I've been doing leather work for over 25 years as a hobby for myself, family and friends but now that I'm home permanently on disability, I've turned this hobby into a small home based business. All the low end tools that I've been using for years aren't up for the challenge, so I'm very slowly trying to upgrade but money is extremely tight. Your reviews help in trying to decide what to buy and more importantly, what NOT to buy. Alas, money will always dictate the outcome but I greatly appreciate your videos, Thank you.

I no longer use a stitching groover; I mark the line of stitching with a pair of dividers; see videos by JH Leather and Nigel Armitage

If you're in the States DistrictLeatherSupply sells them so you can avoid the import taxes. Right now though with Covid-19 he has been having issues getting shipments.

A (relatively) cheap one that gets asked about in most of the leatherworking facebook groups I am part of a lot is those cobbler sewing machines from China. I actually own one, but would love to see someone with a lot more experience review one. They are a bit of work to set up, and require filing down sharp edges, etc, but IMO you get a solid machine out of it at the end.

Have you given a look at Sinabrok hole punchers. (Not sure about my spelling there.)
Strap end punches are all over the place. Some are garbage and some are good. The one I'm having trouble with is corner punches. One quarter circle. Some call them arc punches. I purchased via your link and it's been almost two months and a 'chill out' reply when I contacted them. Anyway, your go-to quarter corner punches would be nice.
I recently bought the Tandy Pro French Skiving tool. It's actually called 'Classique Edger #0'. stock number 83001-02. What I couldn't see in the package is the cutting edge is very rounded and you have to lift the handle at a very steep angle to make the cut. Also I'm trying to figure out the best way to sharpen it. The inside of the tool is flat and as long as your strop is narrow, I can see my way to keeping that keen. However the rounded bottom has no defined bevel so hitting the right angle to sharpen it is very subjective. I know, I can grind a flat bevel on the bottom, but I'd like to see if it can work better with it's current out of the box geometry.
What steel are they made of and how what are its pros and cons?
I bought 1, 2 and 3. I already have 0 in a Japanese edger. Palosanto are well worth the money.

A Japanese style skiver review.
I would have love to see a review of hand burnisher, especially the Palosanto's Wood Slicker, it's a different shape to the ones I usually see and because the #1 & #2 of the bevelers are now I'm on my list to buy.
I'm a beginner.
I'm interested in ordering the 4 beveler set directly from Palo Santo Factory but I've heard that Customs will charge duty before they let it into the country. Does anyone in the US have experience with this? How much do they charge? Is it cheaper to just order from a US distributor?
If you haven't already found an answer... I ordered a French edger directly from Palosanto. I paid $10 in shipping with no additional charge or anything. You can also buy some Palosanto items from Rocky Mountain Leather Supply's website and the tools ship from their stock in the US.
Review a table top snap setter. Like the Tandy Pro or something like that. Are they worth it? Or should I just set them by hand like a normal person?😆

For that fine veg tan leather i think any cheap beveler will do the job, i have problems with other types of leather, like the textured type if you know what i mean or more likely the textured with polish finish that just shatters while bevelling. I hope you got the point and propose something.

I'd like to see hand tool reviews - all of the bigger machinery from Tandy is too rich for my blood. But weird stuff like leather finishing supplies like top coats (Atom from Tandy, or other finishing creams, liquids) or arbor presses for stamping. Maybe checkout some 3d printed stuff(Resin not filament) - I've recently 3d printed stamps/logos/thickness gauges/burnishers for our leatherworking and I'm overly impressed.

I never used to use the individual hole punches until I started watching your videos. I only ever used to use pricking irons. I did purchase a set of single punches and have found something satisfying about doing a few hundred holes one at a time...it's almost therapeutic...like shock therapy. Anyway, the set I bought was a cheap set off Amazon...what would you buy and also can you sharpen them. Hope to see that in an upcoming video.

Strap cutters are a tool I'd like to see a few reviewed and compared to each other.
Just reviewing high-end tools isn't that interesting because most tools with such a high price are precision tools and we all know they are top-notch. The more interesting reviews are low priced compared to medium affordable priced, in my opinion of course

NT Cutter Circle Cutter (C1500) on Amazon ($21 currently). I love this cutter for my leather circles and it doesn’t leave a center hole. Would love to get your thoughts on an inexpensive tool like this.

Brad Maglott -- I AGREE. I've bent all of the Amazon no name pricking irons the first use. Tony has a great review on some serious/expensive stitching punches (round holes). But I haven't seen him review a diamond punch.

I don’t think these tools are not ment for the average leathercrafter. Heck I have a set of the craft tool pro edge bevelers, as well as their basic bevelers and I like the basic ones the best. They just work better. I’m sure if someone has $300-400 dollars just laying around, then these tools are great to have on the tool rack. I guess it’s the story of Jaguar and the Kia. One is way much more expensive then the other, however the Kia will get you to your destination all the same.
How about a review of some of Kevin Lee tools. His stuff is great and it's affordable

Leather tooling?
Why wouldn't you sharpen your old set?
From the looks of them, those are old Tandy/Craftool bevelers. They're kinda OK, not the greatest steel, and the wide tips make them awkward in tight places. So unless cost is a major factor, resharpening them may not be worth the time.
I hate doing edge-beveling, it's tedious and time-consuming. But, good beveling has a huge impact on the quality of the finished product. So, high-quality bevelers really are a good investment, it makes doing the beveling easier, faster and with better results.
Those Palosanto bevelers look really nice, and the narrow tips should make them a dream to use on tight inside curves.
I suggest a review of some burnisher... Not sure which one exactly, but something affordable yet good quality... Since must of people specially during and after pandemic times will struggle...
