I am Autistic and I have a Level 2 Hairdressing Diploma… and Im just about to Start my Level 3 Diploma in September. I am 42 years old . I have learnt to Mask my autism with my customer service skills that are in the level 2 City Guilds book … it also helps me stay professional … I find planning ahead helps my anxiety. Never be scared to pursue your dreams … no matter how old we get we haven’t failed unless we quit . 👍 and quitting isn’t an option. Take one day at a time and I promise if you hold on … you will make it xxx
I have a dream to be a hair stylist but am autistic and I have fears of if I can handle fast pace work I would love to discuss this with you please 💖. Am starting on Friday course in hair and beauty for my induction.
I'm glad I found this I have really bad anxiety and am just about to qualify. I should be happy but I'm freaking out about going to a new salon since they don't have space for another stylist at my salon 😬 it's a fight to get through my shift sometimes. I'm doing beauty therapy too and having that much close contact with strangers is very nervewracking to me. I love my job but I hate people seeing me in the mirror while I do their hair 😂
