It's a play of words. MAPA as in map that's guiding you and MAPA as in MA (mother) and PA (father) also guiding you like your personal map. Ma is also "mata" as in your "eyes" and PA as in "paa" or your "feet".. a masterpiece indeed.
‘Lataratara’ is like a filipino lullaby you sing to your children when you put them to sleep, derived from “la tierra” in spanish which means “my world”. So this song is like a tribute to their parents.

I cried like a baby when i heard this song for the first time. How can such a young group can compose something like this to honor their parent. Pablo is a genius songwriter. This is when i started loving SB19.
Yup, MaPa is a masterpiece indeed. It gets through one's soul. During the time Mapa was released, it was then that my ailing Papa was bedridden. I took care of him 24 hrs a day while working and attending to my hubby and children's needs. I dont know how I did it, but for sure it was great Love and Gratitude I have for my Papa ❤ then, he passed away 😢For a time, I didnt want to listen to Mapa because I remember my Papa and all I could do was to cry out hard, but as time went by, I thank Sb19 for putting out this song cuz it helped me through my journey of recovering from my papa's loss ♥️

Sadly I already lost my dad many years ago. The lyrics resonated with me so deeply. Since then I became a loyal fan. They are just wonderful performers. btw Pablo, the leader wrote this song. They let you stay until you decided to build your own home. Parents of SB19 were very supportive and did not stop messging them where ever they go even when they are in their concert.
