Diana was traumatised by what had happened to her and the neglect added some speech problems that were overcome through singing lessons, the show you are super is a talent show for disadvantage children, she won that, then Diana entered the adult professional competition, the show mask go on and won that, last week. I think that has brought you up to speed, Diana 18 years old dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones and a massive larynx with what sounds like an auto-tuner but is in fact her amazing anatomy producing resonance. The wonderful unique Diana. The girl with a huge voice, an even bigger heart & wildly infectious smile. Clearly a huge career ahead. Your perspective picks up aspects that most don't. I particularly liked you tuning our ears to the slide with the echo. The other thing we picked up & enjoyed immensely was your absolute delight in this performance. As you've probably learned in all the comments; Diana had a pretty tough start in life. Her biological mother was unwell; violent & neglectful & apparently she was found on the streets, aged 3, injured and abandoned and wound up in an orphanage. The woman you see in this clip is her 'real' mother who adopted her, aged 5. In this context it is even more of a joy to see her going from strength to strength.

That was on the Voice Kids Russia in 2017 when Diana was 13, the song was "Jodel Time" - she then she sang a fragment of Edith Piaf's "Non, je ne regrette rien". There is a video of her aged 10, covering The Beatles' "Oh Darling" on a radio station, which is astounding.
From the USA. I am a fan of Diana. There is no evidence that the game was rigged. There is a lack of understanding how the game is played. The people sitting on the chairs are coaches and do no judging. If they like the singer that they think they can help, they would turn around. The singer would then choose which coach he/she wants to belong to. It is the audience who decides who will win by voting (SMS). Since it is the audience who decides and the coaches do no judging, it is not possible for the game to be rigged. Also Diana was 13, not 9 years old. In a later interview, Diana said she was not angry that she was not selected. She said some doors will close , but other doors will open. She's used to it.
If you react to any more of her stuff I highly recommend searching through her RUclips channel and avoiding the HTB network channel. You'll bypass the algo nonsense. She even had a small lounge version of this song on her channel (without the dancers/docks/boat/etc). She does a lot of small venues. I think the harmonics in her voice show up even better without all the production. She really benefits from the less-is-more sound engineering of just letting her raw voice boom out. More importantly; The songs people will ask you to react to can be found hosted on her channel. The only one I haven't been able to find outside the competition environment is her cover of Lara Fabian's Tomorrow Is A Lie. That one is worth doing even with the algo blocking headache, though (it's that good). The titles are not all in English, so it may be tricky for you to find them, but many of them have the song name in English. Something about the algo being used on HTB network videos now is really rough. Wasn't always like that, either. Kind of weird.

She is not singing; she is putting on a performance. Rechenka is a Russian folk song which accounts for some of its' tempo and sound. She is the "Orphan Bride" and sad because she doesn't have her parents to bless her wedding. Rechenka is "The River", the border between the living and the dead. Now for the repetition, you really do need a good set of headphones.
I will explain to you the meaning of this old Russian song that was sung during the wedding. Since a much shortened version was made for the scene, not even all Russian people understand its meaning. An orphan girl from a foster family is married off (most likely, to a man older than her and not of her own free will). She comes to the river (reka), affectionately calling it rechenka. The river in the folklore of many peoples is the border between the world of the living and the dead. She turns to her deceased parents: she asks for advice and blessings. An orphan girl is faced with a choice - to drown herself, committing the sin of suicide, or still accept the circumstances and "go with the flow". What will she choose? This is decided by the audience together with the performer of this song.

The Beatles' famous song Oh my dear was heard from Diana when she was 10 years old she sang on TV or radio but without any preparations people were left speechless! But there is one more very strong song Wild Horses written and sung by Wissotzky! Needless to say the first time she sang people did not believe that a 17 year old girl could sing a very hard and complicated song and she managed beyond all imagination to hear it
If you want to go way back, there is a video of her yodeling on Utube on a Russian talent show when she was 9 yrs. Old. She didn't win because it was rigged for someone else to win. She sings another song after that. She will really blow you away if you watch them both. Thank you for your reactions of her.
That was on the Voice Kids Russia in 2017 when Diana was 13, the song was "Jodel Time" - she then she sang a fragment of Edith Piaf's "Non, je ne regrette rien". There is a video of her aged 10, covering The Beatles' "Oh Darling" on a radio station, which is astounding.
From the USA. I am a fan of Diana. There is no evidence that the game was rigged. There is a lack of understanding how the game is played. The people sitting on the chairs are coaches and do no judging. If they like the singer that they think they can help, they would turn around. The singer would then choose which coach he/she wants to belong to. It is the audience who decides who will win by voting (SMS). Since it is the audience who decides and the coaches do no judging, it is not possible for the game to be rigged. Also Diana was 13, not 9 years old. In a later interview, Diana said she was not angry that she was not selected. She said some doors will close , but other doors will open. She's used to it.

If you react to any more of her stuff I highly recommend searching through her RUclips channel and avoiding the HTB network channel. You'll bypass the algo nonsense. She even had a small lounge version of this song on her channel (without the dancers/docks/boat/etc). She does a lot of small venues. I think the harmonics in her voice show up even better without all the production. She really benefits from the less-is-more sound engineering of just letting her raw voice boom out.
More importantly; The songs people will ask you to react to can be found hosted on her channel. The only one I haven't been able to find outside the competition environment is her cover of Lara Fabian's Tomorrow Is A Lie. That one is worth doing even with the algo blocking headache, though (it's that good). The titles are not all in English, so it may be tricky for you to find them, but many of them have the song name in English. Something about the algo being used on HTB network videos now is really rough. Wasn't always like that, either. Kind of weird.
