Hi from Texas, Cedric! Yes, that is 100% her real voice. Yes, she is polyphonic. Yes, she was already world class at 14. She is 18 now and even stronger, especially her upper register. Her vocal tone and technique are out of this world! With Diana, you don't just get singing, you get musical theater. Yes, she does all her own interpretations and arrangements. She has the nickname "Queen of Goosebumps", so the rest of us know how you feel. She is a powerhouse force of nature! Yes, she totally becomes what she sings and draws you into her world. At age 3, she was the first of 12 children to live from childbirth. Her mother was a severe alcoholic and was not married. She abused and neglected Diana and after a failed drowning attempt which she suffered a broken collar bone threw her out in the street like an unwanted kitten. Relatives came by and saw her outside crying and because the way her eyes looked and she could not talk they thought her to be mentally retarted and took her to an orphanage where her adopted mother worked. A year or so later when a friend was visiting they heard Diana singing to cartoons and it was then she suggested that she be given singing lessons to help her learn to speak. The rest is history with her winning 40-50 national and international competitions before auditioning for the first show The Voice Children’s addition which she sang “Yodel Time”, great performance but dissatisfied with what the judges did not do. Being you have the back ground that you have you will definitely want to see her greatest performance at age 14 when she performed Rechenka on this show, it is in Russian so you will want to get the lyrics to better understand the message of the song, about 16 million views. Thanks for your reaction of Diana🙏🏼. The song Human is also one she sings in a lower tone. She is a rare contralto much like Cher but even better, polyphonic voice technique.

Diana is a fantastically talented singer, a one of a kind chocolate mesmerising contralto. If you plan to explore her further, welcome to Diana's world. Namely. She does not sing, she creates worlds on the stage. Like many of the viewers said here try Rechenka of the same NTV show, dated 2018. When she was only 14. By the way, watch all her performances of the two consecutive years 2018, and 2019, where she won and received the Grand Prix respectively. You won't be disappointed: apart from Diana, stagewise the quality is high class. The show is called You Are Super, and it was designed for kids without parental care. This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The musical project “You are super! can give to children who do not have a prosperous childhood, not only positive emotions, but also hope for changes in their fates. Eighty children from various countries can now take part, understanding that they have outstanding talents. Only the best of the best will be able to complete all the selections.
Diana entered the competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. 2018 (3rd season) Diana sang 'Derniere danse' (French), 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' (Engl.), 'The River' (Russ.), 'Tomorrow Is A Lie' (Engl.) and 2019 (super season) Diana won the Grand Prix with 'Blizzard' (Russ.), 'Wicked Game' (Engl.) and 'Human' (Engl.).
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start studying and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship to the College of Music. Igor Krutoy, as a juror, gave her a small apartment in Moscow. So, she could start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020)...

You can sort of make your voice do that if you lower your larynx. Try talking a normal voice, or holding a note, then lower the larynx without changing the note. It will sound lower without actually being lower. Cher's voice is somewhat like this, as well, but not as pronounced as Diana's. Please listen to Diana's "Human,".....that is incredibly low and truly amazing.
Thanks for your professional review and comments for Diana. I'll reiterate what others have said, Rechenka (Russian Folk) is a must for you. Amazing vocales, brilliant acting and a full production which is a world class performance by 14 year old Diana. She is very talented, sings, acts, dances, theater, paints, draws, plays piano and ukulele. A true Dramatic Contralto with polyphonic overtones/harmonies. Diana is a force of nature. I think she was 14 here. This is a talent show for underpriviliged children. Diana was taken from her abusive mother and taken to an orphanage as a small child. The local physiotherapist decided to adopt her. At the time she did not speak, so her adoptive mother sent her to a vocal coach who discovered her talent. You saw Igor Krutoy, famous composer who works with Dimash a lot, as a juror. He gave Diana an apartment in Moscow so she could study music there. Next: Rechenka ( = riverlet), please.

Great reaction. Diana is great here. But no one ever talks about the great work of the cameramen, stage directors (scenery, light, wind), sound engineers, decorators, costumers, stylists and many other people who worked in this TV show. You, as a director, actor and screenwriter, probably realized how difficult it was to do all this. All of Diana's performances on this TV show became recognizable on RUclips not only thanks to her vocal abilities, but also to ordinary stage workers. I advise you to review them all. I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely.
Diana is theater trained as well as vocals, she's been on stage since she was 5. She's won singing competitions all over Russia including gold at the Delphi games(Russian Olympics for artists), Audience appreciation at the New Wave Festival(only individual award given I believe) She's won in China, all tolled she has over 50 awards and trophies. She's not limited to any genre or style.
When she does a cover it's unique and generally better than the originals. She's incomparable and IMO the most talented young artist today. Rechenka is a masterpiece, recommend that next, she was 14 at the time. Welcome to the ride, buckle up.
Diana is a True Really Rare Contralto which is the lowest female voice , She sings Russian , French , English , Spanish and Arabic , Avoid HTB , most of the song on her Utube channel are OK to download , you probably won't get blocked , she was born May 31st 2003 .

Wondered if you’d find Diana too! I found Diana through the Dimash connection of Igor Krutoy (the final judge to turn… he has sponsored Diana). The program is a Russian competition for underprivileged kids. Diana was abused by her birth mother and has since been adopted by a loving family. The childhood trauma had led to speech difficulties which were fought by sending her for vocal lessons at a really early age. Whereas I find light in Dimash’s vocals, Diana’s tone is expressively dark. She does a beautiful version of Rechenka and you would probably love the staging for that song as well. I’m always a Dear, but I love talent, so I’m always open to discovering new talent. Take care!

Diana was 14yo when she has performed this song on a Russian show "You're Supper", and she's had a very little training if any at this point. The show is unique: for the disadvantaged kids with a very challenging lives to say the least: those without parents either adopted or still living in orphanages, abused in the past etc. The show and established fund supports them in many ways, including bursaries until they reach the age of 18. Diana is one of those kids whose beginning of life was as dramatic as it can be. She is 18 now, and needs to deservedly get out into the world scene loud and wide.

Diana was born in the Russian far east.
Quoting another:

First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.

Diana is such a talent! Imagine that she was stuttering as a child due to her abusive biological mother, then adoptive mom put her into singing classes so that she can get "her voice out" as a part of the therapy. And so we got this GEM! Inspirational both voice and her story.

Diana (Dee-ah-na) started her vocal training at early age although not because of a happy reason. And she has mastered Jodel technique (Tirol singing) - please react to her singing Jodel time at her age of 13 (in Voice.Kids.Russia, when she was rejected - shame on the program!).

Wicked game was performed at another kids contest 2 years later (at the age of 15). She's got a lot of unique performances - Dernier Dances, Blizzard, Human, Rechenka, Take on me, Havana etc. Please keep reacting and discovering her voice, Cedric!

Every performance of Diana's on this show, over two seasons, is worth seeing however you, especialy, _must_ watch 'Rechenka'. The staging is magical and Diana's performance world class.
I have watched any number of reactions to these performances of Diana but you were able to add a different angle and say something new. Your comments on the staging of this video were interesting to hear. The production values of this NTV show, the musical arrangements, lighting choreography, wardrobe, are really top notch. These professional skills are offered liberally to each young contestent. Diana grabbed her opportunity with both hands and the results were stellar.
(Don't get upset by the copyright problems, you got round them fine. It is a shame NTV do it, but there you are)

Diana is a fantastic singer. But she has theatrical experience, Diana dreams of playing a role in a movie, now she is studying at the Faculty of Variety Artist at a theater university. Also Diana is now recording a full-length album, releasing new sigles. On June 11, another masterpiece was released - I Call Your Russia. I also highly recommend to rate the song Rechenka.
She is as good of a stage performer as she is a vocalist.. If you watch her sing "Rechenka" at age 14.. you will see. And from a production standpoint its even better than Wicked Game.
as for the copyright.. everything from HTB will be like that. I personally think from a viewer perspective that watching an uninterrupted reaction with a filter blur over the video is easier to watch that repeated Copyright pauses... and it must be easier for the creator.. and besides.. most of us watching Diana reactions have seen her a million times.. its the reaction we get a kick out of and yours was great...Thanks for checking out Diana. Cedric, I really liked your reaction / comments. The polyphonic manner of singing is something that is very interesting to discuss and understand (although this is only a part of Diana's gifts). Demis Roussos was the first to come to my mind in this regard, but as you said, Imogen Heap is another very apt demonstration. I hope you continue to explore this field of unexpected emotional surprises.
