They work great when you stack three of them for a plasma cutting station. Controls the sparks that normally burn you feet! Keeps the mess to a minimum. No back strain from bending over. Win/Win!!
Great way of using materials around the house. I would like to suggest adding a little of charcoal. Temperature would be better maintained for cooking steak and high cost meats. 😊
With the other rims, you could make a wood stove. There are plenty of video's on youtube making wood stoves / log burners from wheel rims. Even BBQ's from wheel rims. If you have a vice, a truck rim could be used as a heavy base for mounting an I beam on and making a pedestal for a vice or bench grinder. Just weld a plate to the top of an I beam and it is a pedestal for anything.
I would recommend welding them face down and face up so the inner lips are welded together. Close up the holes on the top and add a chimney stack with legs on the bottom. Cut a whole in the side and on the top hub portion make the chimney sliceable that way u can add in wood or on the side for larger pieces if need be. Weld on legs and it sits up a little higher for better air flow and all smoke out the top. Still able to cook on top side with small pots and pans.
A truck rim has all the features already....Drop it in the dirt (air holes down).....Burn off the paint...and put a grill on the top. Best and easiest fire pit ever.
Too much work for me I guess. I’m glad you are trying to make use of “stuff”, but maybe scrap for the wheels? At about triple your age I would have a difficult time rolling around on the ground. Well getting back up would be a challenge. No “sky hook” available.
Hello from the Netherlands .

Chuckle- that was what all the truck rims around here become. I got one of those Harbor Freight small tire changer on one as well.

love your videos
Turn the rims into a bar stool. I’m sure you have something cool to weld between them and a cushion for the seat
لا اله الا الله🌸
cool thought
Thanks Dave 👍👍
