As a member of the church of Christ, i felt something piercing my soul listening to this message. Sound doctrine is all we have been advocating for. Let's stick to the bible.
As a Caribbean servant of God who has observed the degradation of the Gospel by many African iconic preachers, Dr Otabil's very balanced and remedial teaching brings a much needed gust of fresh air to the African church. His comments however that "if Christianity goes in Africa that's it..." I beg to sharply differ although I understand the context in which he makes it. Jesus only is the Hope of Christianity.
This is the work of an elder in the body of Christ. God bless you sir.

Pastor Gideon, thanks for sharing.
My comment here is to say the message is good, yet i would like to see those preaching it to live it because most of the time, they are surrounded by bodyguards, they sit on heavy duty chairs like kings Solomon and then pretend to be equal with theirs members.
Finally this kind of message must be balanced in the sense that there are role and responsibilities in the Church of God though we may all be the same "new man" by new birth.

Truth is sweet and liberating
Africa is indeed the host of Christianity at present and we must learn to package Christianity to save the entire world especially the western world who seem to have been blinded by prosperity. I’m glad to hear this the second time, first heard this during our ordination by Aps Prof Opoku Onyinah in 2018. We should not disappoint the world.
You do not save people; the Holy Spirit does, and we are messengers of the gospel. Don’t assume you know who is saving who because God knows best. Perhaps the West has much more genuine followers than Africa; you never know. I’m just saying that proud attitude we have thinking “my church” is better than “theirs” is equally wrong as the “liberalism” “atheism” in some quarters. Put our heads down and do what Jesus says and say “I am an unworthy servant, I’ve only done what is expected of me” Luke 17:10. And this is so typical of COP ifynyk. Peace.
Is good that the leaders are getting to realise the mistakes they have created . Thank God for that and we pray God help us to correct it and make Christ (The Word) to be our focus always.
It is great that these truths are finally being spoken. Beyond saying the right things, i pray that the walk will not differ from the talk. May we not see grace being merchandized in programs in charismatic churches led by people who should know better. May we see the same message shared with leaders who are abusing junior leaders in their congregation. Saying the truth is great but doing it is the best way to preach it.

This is great message for our contemporary African Christian theology. I m challenge why Dr Mensah Otabil Cannot have this type of teaching and influence in the Ghana Christian Council to bring changes to the challenges of all the Ghanaian Church gymnastics.Some of us think he can do more to effect the necessary changes he has observed over the period.

Talking about teaching siund doctrines in Ghana and not underrating the congregation, a friend drew my attention to a certain form of giving where certain amounts of monies were equated to blessings and breakthroughs in Ps Otabil's church.
