I have a feeling Strife is going to have an interesting personality. Noticed how he jumped in front of everyone else just to be the first to land? Haha

Strife was a hothead and in some ways, he's more dangerous than even Death. If the comics are to go by anything. His justice is practically absolute, Death says so and so dies and Strife blows them up.
I can only hope that Strife plays like a mix of Dante's Gunslinger (Basically Gun Kata from Devil May Cry) and kicks like the Capoeira fighting style.
Gotta admit, the one thing they do well with this franchise is differentiating the Horsemen. War is more brute and bronze. Death is agile and feral. Fury will be acrobatic. All that's left is Strife.
After reading the lore, i really feel sorry for War being use as a tool to solve a problem which have no proof for Abbadon's scheme. Yet his honor is his main weakness as the watcher and the Council know about which the Council send soneone who vengence is reason enough to finish the job and question no more.

yes... and seals even ignores death... (death of one of horsemens , he died in darksiders 2, but was resurected when war broken last seal... so in darksiders 3 we will have all 4 horsemans.

Yeap, as Whitesnow said, the council knew what abbadon would become. I guess you could say they saw the future, as war did when he visited the tree of knowledge. That's why they sent him.
i think there would be darksiders 3 and 4, we will play as the remaining horseman, strife or fury and darksiders 5 as sequel with all four horseman join together in last battle
the reason war was summon is because the council knew abbadon was the destroyer, but they couldn't do anything about it, so they decided to frame war to do their dirty work to clear his name

Abbadon became the Destroyer after he was killed, not before. So the reason as to wars summon is still a mystery, at least to me =/
It's really all the councils fault because they lift things of great power and that will start a war in the hands off one of those enemy's so they started the apockalipse
+Predaking The fault is of the Hellguard, the Council was keeping the apocalypse from happening, but Abbadon wanted to beat hell earlyer.
and so the Council wanted to sacrifice war to end abbadon, but had really no plan for what should they do next, I really hope all 4 of them will just beat the hell out of the council after they all hear what War knows
Nah, it was all Abaddon and Lucifer's fault. The Council was just forced to act because the war grew out of control. They used War to maintain their hold even while Heaven and Hell knew the Council's power was not absolute.
From what I understand, the council knew of Abbadon's plot and considered sending the 4 horsemen but didn't because without proof they would not see reason for punishing the ones responsible, so te council decided to summon only War because they knew he would stop at nothing to clear his name once he was blamed for the Apocalypse.

War was summoned because the council new that abbadon was the destroyer and that abbadon is a traitor

the council was corrupt and sent war after the armies of heaven tricked the armies of hell into marching. they sent him because he was the only horseman who would fight purely for revenge.
The last seal wasn't broken that time, so they were not summoned.

When 6th seal brokes heaven and hell goes to WAR which is probaly coused summoning of war and when 7th is broken rest 3 horseman becomes summoned

Azrael Gorge who told you that? The second one ends shortly before war destroys the seventh seal so death summons again and the third one is after the other 2 games and ds2 amd ds1 are happening in the exact same time

Being 100% honest with Bible lastHorseman should come with 4th seal. They comes one by one 1st seal - Conqueror, 2nd - War, 3rd Famne, 4th - Death. 5th, 6th and 7th aren't bound with raiders. But of course this game wasnt 100% honest with Bible (why should it be?).
The angel of death is Azrael. The horseman of death is Death from Darksiders 2
Why did you shorten the cutscenes? There's quite a bit of dialogue you cut out if I remember correctly.
At the time this video was uploaded (2012) there was a 15 min time limit for ordinary channels on youtube, so unfortunately I had to cut a lot. And as you can see the video is 14:56 - that's the best I could get.

Actually im tryin to understand the story but kinda missing something. Here is the thing i still confuse. why is war there and what did he done that makes him sentence to death? Is that because all 4 horseman only can be summon when all 7 seven seal broken? so when the final scene where that seal broken that summon all others horseman( it is a specific seal to summon all 4 horseman? or it is one of all 7 seal also the last remain?) When the angel pierce through war with the sword, war still get back up because he was summon again when the seal broken?
As I understood: War was summoned because he thought that all 7 seals were broken. Though he was somehow deceived and only 6 seals were broken, so he didn't have a right to appear. That means that he violated the law and was punished. In the end - when the final 7th seal was broken, all 4 hourseman are summoned including the killed War.
The Council set War up to take the fall knowing full well that War himself would seek to clear his own name knowing he had done nothing wrong. In banking on this, the Council expected that War would punish Abaddon as he was originally sent to do so and he would be brought back before the 7th seal could be broken. Probably in time, the Council wanted to Earth reset especially after Death sacrifices himself to bring back the souls of humanity using the souls of the nephilim.
As it stands, the 7th Seal keeps the Horsemen in check and depowered. Their strength is meant to be near unrivaled. So with War and Death's death (War getting stabbed and Death sacrificing himself), the 7th seal is broken and practically undoes the sacrifices. Pretty glorious loop hole.

What is the difference between the horsemen of death and the angel of death?
The angel of death is aligned with heaven whereas death (horseman) is aligned with the Council and serves the balance. For reference Death (horseman) with his powers suppressed is believed to still be stronger than the angel of death in terms of power scaling.

It's definitely Lilith. She was not only featured in the graphic novel setting Darksiders up but she also appears in Darksiders 2 knowing a hell of a lot more than what she was leading Death on to.

+TheHorreK2 Ok, so the Council have known of Abaddon's plan to open war between Hell, Heaven and the Kingdom of Men. Abaddon's plan is to break all the 6 seals but hidden the last 7th one in order to prevent the 4 Horsemen to automatically do their job to restore the balance if all 7 seals are broken.
The Council instead of going head on with Abaddon, they sent WAR and framed him for all the shit to happen, knowing that he would do everything to clear his name. By using WAR, the Council then will kill Abaddon. However, since WAR is a loose cannon, they sent the Watcher to make sure he obeys. So, after killing Abaddon, WAR now finally got the last 7th seal. The Watcher attacked WAR not to let him destroy it so that the 4 Horsemen wont be summoned to restore balance. The only way WAR gets out of the Watcher's control is to be killed by Uriel to complete the duel challenge (Death Oath), then Uriel breaks the last seal. WAR will automatically resurrect and unite with his brothers to restore the balance.
+TheHorreK2 Actually the Council did not have proof who started the End War, also the council are not really demons from hell, they are something in between, now the council was pissed, and wanted to punish the responsable, but they knew the horseman would not do the job, as they are only bound by the law, if they dont know who to execute their hands are tied.
So as the watcher said War needed a good reason to do the dirty job, so they send him down alone, even if his seal was not broken, that is why his brothers did not come, and they made it look like War was to blame for the demons to come and stop the surprise atack the Hellguard was planning, thats why they Uriel hated him, War had no idea, he was manipulated intu doing the Council's work.
So in summary, War was tricked intu all that by being framed, by his own bosses, so he could do the job of hunting the responsibles for the apocalypse..
but why would they need to trick him don't the horseman and the council want balance?
craig doyle Cuse they had no proof, and sending a horseman to go kill a bunch of people with no real proof of the acusations is against the law, and the horseman would not go against the law.
