Hello. I’m new to live scope. I fish in New Zealand. We would fish in open water from 20m to 60m. Would live scope give a clear image at these depths plus if there is a swell or chop would that affect the image. I really appreciate your input.

In freshwater your Garmin will have a range of about 300 feet. And in saltwater It will have about half of that range. So I would say that it would work well for your application. But 60 m would be around its limit. Swell or chop will have no effect at all on your livescope . If you notice in my videos, I run my live scope transducer off of a pole that is on the side of my ski. That never comes out of the water during rough seas. I have used this and water with six and 7 foot swells spotlocked with my trolling motor without any issues whatsoever.

Were there a range of transducers to select from if so which 1 would you recommend for salt water.

How soon will you guys be back up and fabricating new trolling motor mounts?

Do make trolling motor mount for Yamaha fx ?

I only do mounts for Seadoo products. They are set up to fish from and the front has more fiberglass on it. Yamaha and Kawasaki have their storage compartment right on the nose with lots of other plastic molding. So there is no way to hook up any kind of trolling motor mounting system that is centered over the nose and 100% balanced. Those two criteria must be achieved for safety and durability. If you haven’t purchased a ski I strongly recommend the Seadoo Fishpro trophy. It has so many things already in place to create a safe and enjoyable fishing experience. Except a trolling motor of course . LOL

Helpful info. FWIW, you don't need to talk so loud for your videos. Sounds like you are speaking to a room of 300 people.

I know right. That’s just my natural speaking voice. I was a teacher for well over 30 years so projecting my voice is just something I’ve done forever. Then when I’m outside it gets even worse. And then if I get excited because I’m catching a fish, well, Katie bar the door and hold your ears. It’s going to get loud up in here. So having my listeners lower, the volume would be a lot easier than this old dog learning a new trick.. LOL
Thanks for the comments. Have a blessed day.

@@One-offOutdoors Hilarious. My wife can be a loud-talker as well. She talks particularly loud when on the phone. If it is an international call, you better get your earplugs. I always tell her that she could whisper and the other person on the phone could still hear her. She is a teacher too!!

That’s awesome. My wife and I were both teachers so you can only imagine what it’s like around here. LOL
