Thank you. I just don't like trying to snip around those sewn corners. LOL. You just want to be sure everything is lined up when sewing those tabs together. LOL. Blessings, Jackie
I used to go to Lancaster with my stepmom because I am from pennsylvania. And there was the best fabric store there oh my goodness between the calicos and the Homespun you couldn't find better Fabric and it was huge. My stepmom was a quilter and she taught me how to do the Log Cabin quilt on a machine so I would make all these different quilts for my house. So this kind of quilt now is going to be interesting I think I might try it
I grew up about an hour from Lancaster. I think the best country fabric stores are in Ohio. I just love everything about Homespun. I will have to try a scrappy version of the log cabin block. Thank you for watching.
I love the Home Spun fabrics, made some pioneer days looking dresses several years back it was the perfect prints! I do quilt piecing now, and when I find a couple of the same blocks together, well, to me it just shows it's not uniformly mass produced , home made is what I like, and I'm learning everything doesn't have to be accordingly done to my perfection! Joyful Life and happy sewing, God bless All, Thank You so much for showing and sharing your cut out corners, lis
Thank you for a very thorough tutorial. I appreciate your sharing the challenges and solutions to those little problems, makes for a realistic project. Thank you.
Thank you Jackie. It is beautiful and I love it.
Thank you. I'm so glad you like it. It was made with love. ❤️💕🤗
My favorite is flannel over scrap jean pieces...no batting.
I will have to try that. I need to score some scrap flannel. Thank you for the idea.
@@JunkGal63 old flannel shirts maybe....
Kathy my maiden name is Bruton. I don’t see that surname very often! Like your idea of flannel on old jeans😊
@themamma341 I was told the Bruton family came from the Boston area originally, my husband's family came from Missouri
@ I’ve read that WAY back in the day there was a connection to the Breton river in England!
Lovely!!❤😊
Thank you so much!😊
I’ve never seen it done cutting the corners out. That’s a very nice version. Thank you.

How many different fabrics did you use and the yardage I would like to make one
I used five different fabrics including the blank one. I purchased two yards of each. I hope that helps.
@ yes thank you can’t wait to pick homespun fabric is the blank muslin?
@diannevoights6503 The blank was homespun as well. ☺️
You need to invest in a rotating mat…. I just got one… game changer!
I actually have one. The one in the video is a rotating mat. I just forget to rotate it. LOL. Thank you for watching.
