Do you prefer not using batting in between fabric squares even when making both sides flannel. Will you still get a nice puffy look without the batting with using three layers of flannel? Thank you loved the tutorial .
Great video! 👍🏻 Going to make a rag quilt, but I really don’t want to use denim. Would regular cotton backing give the same frayed look? Will it fray as well as the denim did on yours? Or, what is something else you can recommend, other then denim? Thanks so much. You are an excellent instructor. I have subscribed.
The quilt in the video includes flannel on the top and in the middle and denim on the back. It made the quilt thick and warm. I have also made rag quilts with cotton on the top and the back and batting in the middle. This quilt is a great way to be as creative with the materials you use as you like.
What a very nice video! Beautiful quilt! And thank you!
I have the Heritage rag quilt snips and love them!
I learned the hard way about using batting! lol Thanks for the scissor “tips”!
Really like your quilt n those scissors are what I used also

Julie, thank you for the feedback. I have used cotton with good results. Flannel is also an excellent choice.
Great tutorial! Thank you!! 🥰🥰
Glad you liked it!!
are you using cotton on the top and back and felt in the middle? could you use all cotton on back for front and cotton batting in the middle?

Good video and probably the most informative I've come across! Appreciate the review of all the different scissors. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
