      morning sunlight helps reduce cortisol and increase testosterone. try to get 10-20 mins .. go for a short walk make sure to get the sun in your eyes. ashwhaghanda tea through out the day and limit caffeine and unfortunately alcohol, sugary foods, and processed. aim for Whole Foods.make sure to have adequate potassium and magnesium and drink lots of water.high cortisol tends to flush out important minerals so its imperative you are getting minerals.. I have a high grade salt I use and put a half teaspoon in my water throughout the day. and REST!!! also deep breathing

    Thank you for the video. Question: Why would cortisol be at the highest level in the morning if it is stress hormon? People feel less stressed after a good sleep?

    • @lucythepharmacist8950
      @lucythepharmacist8950  Год назад +2

      Good question! This is part of the hormone's circadian rhythm, a roughly 24-hour cycle. Typically, the levels are higher in the morning to help you wake up. Then, the levels gradually taper off throughout the day and are at the lowest in the evening to help you fall asleep.

    Hello ... When I have a problem, my body trembles, my heart beats faster, and I feel difficult to speak. I also sweat a lot, and I suffer from high levels of cortisol.. I tried Ashwgandha for 6 months, and my condition did not improve. Is there an alternative to Ashuganda?

      Benzos like codeine are shown to reduce cortisol so it stands to reason your body learned to produce extra cortisol to adapt and now without the benzos your cortisol could be extremely elevated not to mention you're not use to that feeling so I pray you find some relief, the doc should have tapperd you down and given you something to adjust. That's cold blooded as far as I can see.

      Same here. I was on Benzos for a month and then taken off overnight. I ended up with a panic disorder which took 8 months to resolve even after hospitalisation. I still get anxiety from it.

      I recommend you using ashwaghanda. I've used it for a long time I know I believe it's 100% effective when it comes to lowering cortisol but you have to be committed to using it daily I've also used rhodiola for a long time but I think ashwaghanda is more powerful and rhodiola is more like a thing that makes you happy and stimulate you than lowers cortisol so I highly recommend you consuming ashwaghanda but be careful about the dose cuz when I take 600mg everyday I get headaches so it's not about taking high doses it's about how long are you going to take it I think 2 weeks is 100% will be enough to feel the effects of ashwaghanda and then you continue for 1 month or 2 maybe more but I've heard that these are not good long term cuz your body adapt to it so you need to cycle it for example 3 months on and then 4 weeks off something like that

      If your problem is you can't sleep I guarantee ashwaghanda will make you sleep like a baby

I'm a 47 year old male. I'm desperate. This started rapidly 2 years ago, still no answers.

      It does the same thing to me. I don’t think I’m stressed in my mind but my cortisol has a mind of its own. My naturopath put me on a supplement called truadapt to take at bedtime, you can get it online and it works really well.

    Is it true that to test our cortisol levels we need to be off estrogen for 6 weeks before? If we are on HRT, that means we have to stop for 6wks to test cortisol?
