LOL! "We're all poker chips in the game of life." best Mike quote I've heard so far.
Mike's taste for a little heavier coop games like this and Unsettled, for example, is a major service for the coop lovers. Thanks for presenting it so eloquently! These games look too busy and complex, but once you find the people in the right mood to just listen to the explanation and not presume the ruleset or compare them to other games, they are amazingly smooth. Loved Camila's and Chris' analysis too!
There's an old Commodore 64 game called Paradroid that this reminds of. I don't remember the gameplay really but you had to go around and subvert and take control of different droids which were circular sprites with numbers in them via a mini-game.
Would love to see more Chip Theory Games reviews! Loved this review and I think it was the perfect people to have review it.
Vacuum cleaner robots are basically robot poker chips that sliding around)
This title grabbed me immediately. Reference to brass is genius.
It's the best of their range, but the complexity /amount of the rules and length of the games meant I had to sell it. Multiplayer was ridiculous and even solo it's multiple hours plus checking the rulebook.
But it was a great theme and setting so it hurts.
Yeah I took one look at the campaign and immediately went NOPE. I thought it looked great, but I just knew it wouldn't want to spend that much time learning a game.
That poker chip quote goes has no business going that hard!
I'm happy to see Burncycle gets praise from other people than Mike as well. I like it more then Too Many Bones and it's in my top 3 games of all time (which consists of about 15 games ;p)
I expected to hear Chris talk about Weather Machine like this; glad to see he enjoyed Burncycle.
Having all the enemy info on the chips is my favorite part of their games. So much easier to read and reference

That's the Laserbeak to your Soundwave
I love this game. The only thing that dethroned it from my table has been Cloudspire. I am definitely a fan of CTG games. I'm glad you three enjoyed it! Great review.
Both Camilla, and Milla showed up for this review. It could be a robot!
Milla's first Chip Theory Game! I feel like she'd love Too Many Bones but I'm not sure. Tantrum might be right up her alley, since he looks just like her dice guy
Ive been sitting on this game for a long time. I guess it's time to stop stressing over the rule book and read it
that red die on the shelf behind Mike is just wrong, 3 is opposite 4 not next to...it's driving me nuts 😂
Love this game, it does take a long time to play. I love the one floor missions. I mainly play it Solo but as a computer/IT person I am just in love with the Network portion of it too. Makes it way more thematic. Can't wait for the PVC player aids but got laminated ones for now.
As a CTG nut I have 20 plays under my belt, all solo, it is just amazing! This is a long and and heavy stealth/heist game so I can't say it is for everyone.
I agree with Mike. A few parts are too much if you haven’t played in awhile, the rest of the game is very smooth
Is it worth the extra cost to buy the Deluxe playmat? Does the mat help with the gameplay
A little late, but yes, it helps tremendously with setup.
We've got a robot...
... A ROOOO-BOT ON A RAAAM-PAGE
How good is the game at 2 players?
Great, I think I said that if prefer playing withthe lower player counts, and that includes solo.
I'm having trouble paying attention to your review, the box of 9 lives on its side there just keeps drawing me in. LOL.
From now on Mike will have to go by Myke
Wow magnets!
How do they work?
@@Bleuchz They attach the brass figures to their chip--whether player Bot or corporation Guard. They also attach at a location of the chip which allows the info on the chip to still be readable. Pro/con--they only pick up ONE chip--so a Bot and it's 2nd chip (awareness) or a Guard and a Key won't move together.
So many cones.
Life is not a game.
Ok, so nobody commented on the main board and the overall look of the game. Honestly, it pretty bad. Like a decent prototype. Or a game from two decades ago.
The gray board looks unfinished. The chips that are waaay to big and at the same time are plain and uninteresting. A nice looking, smaller token would be much better, but I guess Chip is in the company name so it has to be this big.
Maybe in person it looks better.
