If hyper emerald felt old(2012) because its kinda is,i remember playing this like 6-7 years ago but a less developed version. Its basically a rom that is in the making and have improvements gameplay and mechanic wise over a lot of years

This romhack is really amazing, i just really wish the post game would have been translated as yoy essentially have to follow a youtube video in order to find everything. Once its translated its perfect but for now im gonna stop my playthrough and pick it back up when everything is translated in the postgame. Also i cant wait for them to add gen 9 pokemon and mechanics like terastalization.

Yeah story was admittedly "meh", but I'll give credit where credit is due, I appreciate them for actually trying to change the story rather than doing nothing with it
late comment, and nothing to do with the hack you are talking about, but something that makes radical red much easier to play for me is playing it in a "half nuzlocke" way, where you can only catch the first pokémon you encounter in a route/town, but without the perma death part. It makes me use pokémon I would have never used otherwise, and so many of the pokémon got buffed so that you are not "missing out" on the strong ones. Just a suggestion, since it made the game much more enjoyable for me (I couldnt imagine not playing it like this or without any other restrictions.. too much choice 😨)
How far is that Mountain Top fight into the game? Was looking for videos but cant find one, looks cool to see all the game protagonists fighting together
I’m just sick and tired of Kanto and Hoenn hacks. I wish nds rom hacking was as easy to hack as gba so we could get some cooler Sinnoh and Unova expansion hacks. Like you said towards the end about exploration, I love it. It’s why I love Reborn and Rejuvenation so much, there’s so much side stuff to explore. I love it when hacks add some new areas to Hoenn but I’m simply tired of Hoenn
There is a project of Platinum rom hack with 5th gen graphics and new areas. It is called "Legends Arise Trinity Aenigma", it is not available yet but on a good way
I'd recommend Unbound. It's pulled in the reins on the edge of its story about a year ago; now, it's about on the same tier of subject matter as Scarlet/Violet. Its region is also entirely different and its visual style is meant to resemble the NDS games, making it a massive breath of fresh air.

Well it's still taking a game, slapping 1000 Pokémon in it and that's all. No one ever makes a TRUE gen 3 ROM hack, with just 386 Pokémon and no physical/special split. I'll do it myself I think.
@@ayrei1503I don't agree. The pre-gen 4 meta was pretty balanced and cool too. Physical Special Split makes more intuitive sense but the lesser you have the better the meta is. Less moves, lesser abilities, and lesser Pokémon
Ngl it just seems like emerald with some patches thrown in that every hack has and some tilesets that arent properly implemented (when you move in grass the vanilla textures show). Also you say that difficulty hacks are boring but they take a lot more effort than you might think and some people make many under the hood changes.

Playing an Emerald hack currently that's the same story as vanilla but with larger selection of Pokes till Gen 9 and have up to Z-Moves. What's the dex size of this ROM and how far do the gimmicks go?
I do want to see a fan game that uses the previous games female protagonist. We get so much red and often gold and the other default boys in rom hacks but I don't think I've ever seen a single rom hack use any female protagonist outside of the region they are from maybe as an NPC if you didn't pick them as your gender. Which is shocking especially for Leaf and Crystal. I see Silver, Gold, Red, Blue in so much stuff but ya.
