Well, Stu it's not impossible that we could get flyable Valkyries... as a squadron. It's not at all impossible that they've finally cracked how to make squadrons that you can fly, work - and did something *really* cool with that. Given how utterly nasty our fighter squadrons can get, I really can't rule out a T6 ship in the form of a bunch of fighters in a group you control. I'd absolutely *love* that. But it doesn't need to be revamped gameplay. It'd basically be like flying a weird escort.
I'd like the typhoon if its build on the jupiter frame so they could kit bash. As long as the sovereign and premonition classes built on the same frame.
Always with the negativity when it comes to the Typhon. 😢 "Why don't you go pester Dr. McCoy for a while." - There is another ship in 'Invasion' that is the USS Sentinel. Which has some beefy nacelles and a slight extension of the impulse engines, i.e. an extra pair built into the already established impulse engines of the Sovereign-class, also has a special warp engine called 'Interspacial warp engine(s).' - They could bring in the Kam'Jahate Vanguard ships from an alternate reality or from the past, since the Kam'Jahtae are said to be progenitors of the Hur'q. Not to mention in 'Invasion' they do attempt to use wormhole-like generator tech to bring in their far distant fleet, distant either by another part of the galaxy or a different realm. - Also, in 'Invasion' the Borg have fighters or drone defense ships, the Romulans have their own fighters. Not to mention there are still some variants of Starfleet fighters from the game that still have yet to be made in STO.
Hey not everyone can have what they like lol sometimes they throw a bone to those who have something they want outside of the norm. Im also a huge fan of armada recently started playing the second one again so any old star trek content im all for.

funny thing is, there is already a typhoon model ingame (or at least there was many many years ago, like pre-romulan faction era, where lvl cap was 50 and gear cap was mk12 epic), as it was one of the npc support ships that aided us in a couple missions. But I don't think the typhoon would ever be in sto as they would have to change the whole fighter pet system just for this ship (such as changing the weapon slots to hanger bays and the 1-2 hanger bays into weapon slots. as it's nothing but a super air-craft carrier with super def but limited weapons. as the shuttles/fighters are it's weapons.
I just want the Premonition to be a Sovereign with better seating. Maybe also a hangar. Between the Ahwahnee and the Vovin, I have no idea what DECA will do to make the Typhon different despite being another carrier already this year. Give it a pair of Fed Saber Wingmen off the Rex console?
You sound like you like the Typhon more than I do by quite a bit. It is a brick that does not look like a Federation ship and should have long been forgotten. Now, if it were one of the carriers from the Starfleet Command games, we might have had something interesting. It would not be impossible for the new ships to all be shuttle sized: the Venture and Valkyrie both are not playable in game (as player controlled ships) and dropping in a new shuttle for people to fly around The Vault or Rhi is not out of the technical capabilities of the game staff. That said, there is no good reason to actually do so as that system was never very good.
