The 55-year-old CJ can once again return to Grove Street, a street that no longer has its former vitality and its residents have Gone.

41 here, this game is a double dose of nostalgia.
It was nostalgic for me when it came out because it was set in a time period that I actually remember growing up in. The 90s pop culture and events that this game is based on was my childhood. I grew up in the world that San Andreas was trying to portray. Hell, I watched the LA riots live on TV and still remember Reginald Denny getting pulled from that truck and beaten within an inch of his life as it was happening in real time. Some of you guys will never understand how different the world was back in the pre-internet days.
These days, the game is nostalgic again because now I have good memories of playing the game 18 years ago after I had just got out of college and was living with my buddies long before I got married and had kids.

I remember playing San Andreas on my uncle's computer back in 2009, when I was 7 years old. Unfortunately, my dear uncle passed away recently, but I won't forget him playing with me this unique game. What a memory! Rest in peace, Uncle.

This game reminds me of the good times I spent playing it with my cousin back when we were about 12 years old. Years later he committed suicide. Playing is again now (31) makes me feel just like the good old days with him. I miss you, my brother. I hope I get to see you again some day.

My father forbade me to play this game, or any for that matter so I sneaked out and play GTA at my friends house. The freedom I had playing this game... I am also 28 now and have a GTA SA copy on my pc. There isn't much time for me to play these days. But just looking at the logo and knowing it's there makes me happy.

This was sad to watch because when you were a kid we played this game for hours and loved the story, but when watching the original cut scenes and seeing Big Smoke and Ryder it makes you think about all the friends that you thought would be around forever and never were in real life. The betrayal in this game resonates more with what we experienced in our adult lives.
Now we are older, and many years have passed and those cut scenes have different meanings.

The scene+music hits deep. Why I tell you. I remember had friends' came over to play
GTA SA when I was 17. Mom, dad, sis, grandma, uncles, cousins had always interrupt my game. Sometimes I had to leave the game to come back later because grandma wants me to to her stuff, dads' plan for beach, cousins plan for sleepover/movies/get together, uncles comes with cookies/tries GTA3/ brings gifts/plans outdoor fun etc. Now most of these has faded, some of them passed away, some moved abroad, some don't talk anymore. Now I'm 31 and a wave of nostalgia swept over me when I saw this. Those days were bliss and will never come back!

I didn't personally own San Andreas as a kid, but a friend of mine did. We would play the game almost 24/7 and even though I lived in that small little town for only a year and a half, having to say goodbye to my friend. I can say that San Andreas made its mark on me as a kid.

Damn this cut deep. It' hit me hard going back to Grove Street in GTA5 and the Ballers were claiming it as their territory, even though it was allegedly in a different version of reality. Anyone who played San Andreas back in the day cant have escaped it's central messages of how things that are safe and familiar always change, and nothing lasts forever - even family or your most trusted, beloved friends.

We have nostalgia for these times, not because the games were "better," (though they often were), but because games were designed to be PLAYED. Your progress always felt earned because it always was. You never paid extra money for it. You didn't have to compete with cheaters or griefers. You didn't have DLC and add-ons and new OP tools. Gaming hasn't lost its spark. Game developers have lost their souls, and you're feeling the emptiness of that.

Many studios have been infested by untalented woke people who ironically enough are extremely conservative when it comes to innovation within their own field.
Just look at how many devs from different studios attacked Baldur's Gate 3 after it became a massive success. That should say a lot.
