I've had this mouse now for two hours and I'm absolutely loving it!!! I hadn't realized just how bad my old mouse had gotten. Thank you for the breakdown. Totally sold me on it.
Amazing! It's just solid right? It's nice to have nice things in life :) I'm still really happy with it and I even enjoy gaming on it. Thanks for the comment 👊
Great, no BS review. You just helped me to feel comfortable about buying the Logitech MX Mouse & Keyboard Bundle. Thanks for your great quality review.
I recently got the white version as well. Before this I used the Logitech M590, mainly because of the near silent clicking. Needless to say I was endlessly happy when I realized the 3S had really similar clicking. I hadn't realized before how uncomfortable my hand was using the other mouse. This one just "feels" right
My other mouse (on my laptop) is the Logitech Triathlon mouse, and while it's quite comfortable still it's so LOUD. I really love that silent clicking and was surprised just how satisfying it felt. I am happy with that choice, glad to hear you are too!
Right?! I love the clicking action and like you mentioned the awesome scroll wheel. My wife has the ergonomic Logitech mouse and it has a plastic wheel, you can sure tell the difference. It fits my hand well but not perfectly, but yeah, for the price, I'm super happy. I think the only way to get better would to somehow create a custom mold mouse which fits your hand...
Im still rocking my mx master 2. Almost 5 years now, i want to upgrade but my mx 2 still works. I love the ergonomics of this and side scroll is a thing i never i knew i needed until I got this.
Haha that's awesome! Sadly I never was exposed to this mouse until the 3S but I'm happy that I finally was. I do have to say though, the silent clicking of the 3S is just, well I don't think I could even have a mouse without it now moving forward. I'm not sure if non-Logitech mice have this feature yet, because if they don't, I think I'll be sticking with Logitech for awhile!
Thanks for the lovely presentation for the mx series keyboard and mouse. I was first looking to get a decent quality (quiet) keyboard, and when I came across that Logitech MX Keys Mini, your video has definitely conviced me, then I ended up getting it together with the mouse Logitech MX Master 3S, this combo's quality in terms of several aspects, but mainly ergonomics (on the mouse) was way too appealing not to have it. It was easy to blindly trust you on this mouse, without having to do extra researches, cuz I knew you already did it for us, so I really appreciate that !
Thanks! I really appreciate the comment :) Have you received them yet? I'd love to know what you think of them. I ended up selling the keyboard when I sold my computer and I still miss it. It was great. I am still rocking the mouse, it's just so solid and the battery lasts forever.
Just using the set since a few days, and it is indeed a lovely experiance. One can definitely feel the premium finish, i'm especially impressed by the keyboard btw
@@tun1to Oh good. Glad to hear it! Logitech has nailed both the silent click on the mouse (you can't go back to a normal mouse!) and the touch on that keyboard. I loved it too and was surprised by the value. It's nice to have quality stuff. The mouse fits my hand 95% and I still enjoy it. It's heavy which I think is nice for productivity and accuracy but a little slow for gaming. I still use it for that though. Plus the set looks nice too. Though it would be cool if they had options in that realm 👊
hey hey, i'd want to make a lil update, i've been using the mouse since about 25-27 days, so far no operational issues or similar, but battery life is currently 25% after just 25-28 days of use, even started lagging somehow, is this a normal behaviour ? My expectations were that the battery life will last longer than that, what is your opinion, because I requested a return for the mouse, btw the keyboard is absolutely fantastic and no doubt my favorite, and is at 80% battery life so far...
@@tun1to Thanks for the update! Yeah that does seem like it's dying a little sooner than it should, but without a couple power cycles it's tough to really say. And what kind of usage are you doing with it? Full-time working every day or just using it sporadically? I don't keep track of how often I charge mine but it feels like maybe every few months? Enough that I'm happy with it and know any other mouse would be the same. Glad you're loving the keyboard though. I miss that thing.
Retired, I have a rare form of muscular dystrophy called OMPD. I went to my neurologist, and not only do I have OMPD, but carpal tunnel in both hands. I don't have any pain, but like you, I found out that we often look at a mouse as a 10 dollar device. I also use a mac, and loved the apple mouse. I still use windows as well and took a chance on the MX master 3s. The ability to set it to high dpi.(less wrist moment) is a joy. Also the ability for a smotth scroll wheel, not notchy is a personal joy. A 100.00 bucks for it is high, but it is well worth it. You young people, don't buy a cheap gaming mouse. Your hands and wrist will tank you when you get into your 60's like me.
@@TheSAHDLife It is perfect for me at hi dpi setting. Also I bought a 3M mouse pad from amazon, bet 8 dollar investment as well, does not fry, and is very slick for mouse movement.
Thanks for making this! I had been researching a non apple mouse for my new Mac mini, and this one had been talked about, so I looked for a review on you tube, and hey presto, you had made one! In truth your reviews are always 110% bullet proof and sincere (no matter what the product) , so I think I am sold! Greetings and thanks to you (again) from jolly old England ! In fact, I took out You Tube Premium based on your review alone, and I have been happily paying since, though not through buying it via apple! 🇬🇧👋🇨🇦
That's awesome! :) I'm glad you found the video and yes, I am still happily using the mouse right now! It really is a great product. I do my best to make each review I do not only interesting but honest... no affiliate program in the world is worth it over being honest with products, so I'm glad that sincerity comes through in my videos. I really appreciate you saying that. Let me know what you think about the mouse! I think it's still great but I built a gaming PC and sometimes wish the mouse was lighter for that... but I actually prefer the weight of the 3S for daily tasks, so maybe down the line I'd get a 2nd mouse. Cheers from Vancouver Island 👊
@@TheSAHDLife Hello again! My mouse arrived today and it arrived with 60% charge. I like the feel of it immediately and I liked the swap between the free spinning and the graduated spinning for the mouse wheel. I have made the horizontal scroll my volume up and down so far! I am ten minutes in to the use and I am glad I bought it 🙂
@@richryan8904 Oh that's awesome! What a cool use for that mouse wheel. I do use the horizontal scroll which is nice for video editing but what's sweet is you can customize it for different apps. I'm glad you are enjoying it :) 👊 thanks for letting me know.
I just got the 3S Graphite, fortunately after being made aware that the Pale Grey (whitish) turned yellow after use. This isn't my first Logitech, I have the G502 Lightspeed for gaming and I remember having the first laser MX1000 back in the 2000s. The 3S' hump is a little high for my hand and my hand size is more average than small but it's not a deal breaker, I just have to move my hand further forward to have a better grip and palm rest position. This is my daily driver mouse for web browsing and work, not for gaming, so its productivity features really helps - it's productivity-focussed button assignments, the thumb rest for prolonged usage and the winning feature for me was the battery life. My wireless G502 had to be recharged regularly and for daily use it was an annoyance. After getting the 3S, the 502 is now used primarily for gaming along with my Razer Basilisk V3. The near silent mouse clicks was also a godsend for night-time usage as my PC is in my bedroom and its near silence was needed in order not to annoy the missus.
Sounds like you have a nice little lineup! Yeah I agree, it's not 100% perfect but it's the best one I've used to date so I'm still happy with mine. The silent clicks are still incredibly satisfying a year later and are still my favourite part.
The 1st high end mouse I had was a Logitech MX-1000 and I loved that mouse. It was comfortable, lasted a long time on a charge and the mouse lasted about 10 years. Then it got to where it wouldn't hold a charge. After that I just bought the little cheapies until today. The last cheapie mouse I bought lasted maybe 2 years, now I have the MX master 3s and so far I'm liking it. I hope it last like the mx-1000 did.
Nice! Logitech seems to make good stuff. I've been happy with everything I've bought from them and actually just yesterday I picked up their Pro X headphones and they are fantastic. I'm still rocking the 3S as well and love that too. Edit: Just wanted to add it holds a charge for months of daily usage.
I pulled my old G700 out from junk storage (stuff that is still good, but needs an inspection for repair before discarding), which had the double click issue that started years ago. I finally just repaired it with some new switches, and it's good as new again - the G700 is a joy to use for either gaming or for work, and I had been using it for work before it started failing (you don't want to be dragging an email window then have the mouse suddenly click the send button on its own!). The hand shape was just perfect. The weight is substantial and after seeing the inside, it's very high quality. The G700 was what Logitech was going to do with their gaming mice before they decided to start marketing the cheaper feeling and thinner housing mice as part of their gaming mice family for the sake of 'being lightweight' with 'adjustable weights'. I'd imagine the MX Master 3s has a pretty similar feel to the G700 due to its shape- the shape is just very natural feeling, while the device itself is extremely high quality. Maybe I'll pick one of these MX Master 3s mice!
I never had the g700 but it looks good. Does it have the silent clicks? I'm on my laptop right now with my Triathlon mouse and... while I like the shape, it does NOT have the quiet clicks of the MX 3s and I miss it so much. I'd be very curious to hear what you think of it! I love it for a bunch of reasons... it might not be a great gaming mouse but I think it's just so well rounded.
I bought this for work. I’m an insurance agent so my entire day is on the computer. I LOVE THIS MOUSE. I will never by another. The scroller is life changing. I love the hand placement. I have no problem with it but I guess that would vary with the size of your hand. Their old wave keyboard is also the best thing for working. It’s definitely louder but I like that. It’s so comfortable to use and the calculator button is just awesome. Love Logitech.
Nice! Yeah I still use mine everyday, I'm using it now! Logitech really does a good job don't they. I mean the mouse isn't perfect, but it's the closest thing I've found yet. And even though it's expensive, it's not THAT expensive for a tool that we use everyday and helps us do/enjoy work better. Thanks for the comment.
The fact that this ALSO works as a wired mouse sold me. (Per Logi customer service, "We only have two models that can work both as wireless and wired...the G502 X Plus and the MX Master 3S.") I've had many issues with my Bluetooth mouse losing connection and when I go to Windows settings to toggle Bluetooth off and back on to reset, I'm stuck because I don't have touchscreens to be able to tap the Bluetooth toggle back on. With this, no need to hunt down a wired mouse because it also works as such with its charging cable.
I can't remember if I knew that! I feel like I've tried it and it didn't work but now you're making me want to try it again. I built a new computer recently and I had to find my old Wired mouse because when I'm in the bios the Bluetooth one obviously doesn't work. I hope it does! Thanks for sharing that 👊
@@TheSAHDLife I'm waiting on mine to be delivered, which I ordered based on what Logi customer service said about being both wired and wireless. Good luck to both of us. lol :) EDIT to add: The Logi rep was quite unequivocal and detailed when I specifically asked. In addition to what he said above, he added, "When the charging cable is attached, both mice will work as a wired mice. By the way, both mice use a USB receiver as their wireless connection. The MX Master 3S has built-in bluetooth."
The best ergonomic mouse for me and I challenge you! I have used a lot of mice and I run mice on a monthly basis in order to test the issue. Luckily I found a mouse so comfortable, so fast and so light weight that if they decide to invest a little more in it, it's going to beat Logitech's mice! And this mouse is from the HP company, the name of the mouse is hp professor1, it is the mouse with the best ergonomic shape I have ever seen, and if they add a magnetic roller and a side roller, I assure you that it is the best mouse in the world!😁
That's awesome! It really looks like they modeled it after that mx3s which is great! If they can make it even just a little bit better while keeping all the good things about it it could be a real winner. Thanks for the share, I'll l keep my eyes peeled for it.
I’m an engineer and work on CAD and PDF markups all day. I got this mouse from the technician that worked at the company before me so I never even bought it. Amazing mouse. Customizing it for different applications is great so I can switch between programs while keeping the actions mostly the same. Also side scrolling is a godsend when working on huge Excel sheets!
Right? It's just better than your traditional mouse... I'm not saying it's the best mouse out there. I haven't tried that many... but once you use it after using normal mice, it just feels on another level and it's hard to go back. Love the silent clicks.
I first bought a wireless unknown brand "gaming" mouse but it was like a piece of soap and way to small and light, I have small hands and still it was waaay to small and did not fit... So I went back to the store that has a 1 month policy of return no questions asked and got this Logitech 3s instead and it fit me perfectly and feel great in my hand with the perfect weight and grip.
Oh sick! It's nice right? I like the keyboard too, I have the mini version (without the num pad) and it's great. The battery lasts a long time too. Super happy with it! LOVE the quiet clicking.
I actually hate it due to the low polling rate. I find it brutally slow and laggy even compared to 15 year old wired mice / keyboards. Everything else is great, but they need to put a good sensor in it.
Had same effect with the MX Master (one, without a number). This product line is a game changer, especially if you use multiple machines, or often are on tour. its also robust.
I really, really, really want to like this mouse. I am a videographer/editor by profession and 90% of my desk time is working with a mouse, so it is really important for me to have something that fits my larger hands and, almost more importantly, has a great button setup. I finally spent more than twenty bucks on a mouse about a year ago (Logitech M720 Triathlon) and enjoyed its size. It has been very comfortable, but I have been techno-lusting over the MX Master. So I finally got one this morning. Is the MX Master comfortable? Hell yeah, it feels great in the hand. But after using it for about five hours today, I became really annoyed with the button layout, which is actually less functional than my Triathlon. The Triathlon, like most Logitech mice, has a left-right click feature on the scroll wheel. This is super convenient because your finger is right next to the wheel 99.9% of the time your hand is on the mouse. The MX Master does away with this and gives you a horizontal scroll wheel by the thumb. Its placement sucks, even on a large mouse. The kicker? My Triathlon is about $70 cheaper, has the same hand comfort as the MX Master, and has a way more efficient button layout. I urge anyone thinking about getting the MX Master, or anyone who feels buyers guilt about wasting $99 on the MX to try the Triathlon.
I too have the M720 which I showed briefly in this video (53 seconds in) and that's funny, I don't know if I've ever used the left/right click on the scroll wheel! What do you have it programmed for? I suggest you use the new mouse a little more... when I go back to my M720 now, the loud clicking gets annoying and I long for the quieter more subtle tactile clicks of the MX. I do really like the Triathlon mouse too but I also find it just a tad bit short. I imagine though unless you custom build a mouse for your hand, it would be easy to find shortcomings in any mass produced mouse. It's tough, it's such a personal choice right? I would feel comfortable recommending the M720 for the price, like you, but think the MX might be a safer long term bet for a wider range of people. I'll be curious if you feel the same way in a week or two. Do let me know about those buttons though!
@@TheSAHDLife The scroll wheel on my M720 is set to "Forward" and "Back" which I use on websites and anything else that has a back or forward arrow. With Logi Options+ I have application specific settings to scroll my timeline forward or backward when I am using video editing software. My finger is right next to that scroll wheel anyway, so this is much handier than the horizontal scroll wheel. The horizontal scroll on the MX Master is a great idea, I just found myself doing way to much hunting for it to where it was more of a distraction to use than a useful feature. The clicks, I don't mind at all. I actually kind of like that satisfying little click sound with the pleasant tactile click. Anyway, I took the Master back and got a refund. Just couldn't get used to it and, ultimately, it didn't make my editing life any easier or add any value for the money. Nice hearing from you!
Thanks for the comparison to gaming mice. I'm also mostly using my mouse for work (from coding to Adobe stuff and the accuracy comparison helped) and some very minimal gaming. Your video helped me decide between a quality precision gaming mouse and this one!
@@TheSAHDLife You mention in the description recently optimizing your workspace, do you have any videos on that? I found the Samsung Odyssey review - funny enough I'm also considering that right now to replace my 34" LG Curved - plus your YT channel help videos so thanks for sharing. I'm also trying to take small steps in becoming more organized and productive and use more ergonomic tools for my everyday life, hence the interest. Again, thanks for sharing.
@@real-j-anderson Thanks for watching and the support, I really appreciate it! Do you mind if I ask why you are considering replacing the 34" screen? We actually just moved and I ended up selling my 49" screen. It was neat but I don't think I would buy it again. I'm not actually sure what I will get next. I will be going into my new space in June so will definitely be making more videos about setting up and optimizing my workstation / office space. We are in a crazy transitional time in our lives so I'm really looking forward to creating some awesome, thoughtful videos in the near future. I do bounce around with my topics a lot as you can tell but like to create cohesive groups of videos eventually!
MX Master 2s is better for the following reaons: 1: Side scroll buton is at the side of the two buttons and you can rest your thumb on the bottom to use it, you have to lift your finger on the 3 - a bit silly 2: its a smaller size than the 3 - the 3 is more arched MX Master 3 has silent clicks which I like a lot, last longer, usb c, charges quicker - maybe I just need to get used to it but the 3 hurts my hand a lot, the 2 not at all
I totally agree about the scroll on the side. It's not in the perfect spot. The size is a tricky one for sure... I feel it 90% fits my hand which is great. Unless you made a custom mold I can't really see a mouse fitting everyone much better than it. It's the silent clicks that are the real clincher for me. I can't live without that now. Too bad you can't have the best of both worlds.
I absolutely hate logitech MX Master 3S. I much preferred razer basilisk because it had such a much better software, it integrates with the OS, meanwhile 3s needs for the windows to fully load for it to work and the software modification for each app is a nightmare.
Luckily for me the only program I need to customize it for is my video editing one and it works fine with that using the Logitech options app. But yeah if it doesn't work for your programs that could be a total pain. The mouse has been great for me but mice are just so custom for so I get that it's not for everyone.
My first mouse was the logitech pebble. 3 years later I upgraded to the graphite logitech vertical mx which was super cool. I wanted to love it as much as I love this new Logitech Mx Master 3S I bought just a couple of weeks ago but it's hard. This was sort of a random purchase at Best Buy as I deep down wasn't 100% receptive of the "handshake" design in the vertical compared to the Master's more traditional feel. On top of this, the horizontal scroll is game changer for some apps like excel or enterprise systems. The only gripe I have is a buyer's remorse as my set-up is largely black/dark themed with RGB Chroma and I snagged the white version and I was too lazy/excited to return it haha. Oh well.
Also, the silent but satifying click works great with my new setup too. I had the nice and clean white Razer Pro Keyboard I bought 3 years ago with the Pebble. Wanting to start RGB, I got it and realized it did not have RGB. Ran with it, and enjoyed the annoying clicks for three years, it did increase my productivity. However, now I started working more and more with colleagues and clients I moved to a quieter system. My new black Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro with RGB with linear red switches are great for my current set up. The ONLY FLOWER I MUST give the Vertical MX would be its CRISP and all too satisfying vertical scroll, however it's click sounds like a microwave going off at 1am compared to the master mx 3s.
lol yeah once you go soft clicks it's hard to go back. Everything else sounds SO loud in comparison. I had a nice little Anywhere mouse but had to ditch it because it was too loud.
I just built a new computer and... well luckily I had an old mouse with a cable kicking around, because you're right... I wouldn't have been able to set up easily without it! Buuut I still love this mouse and am using it right now!
Yeah I still think it's a great mouse! Not sure where you're buying it from but worst case scenario you can return it if it isn't as good as you hope. It still seems like the top one that most creators use so I think you'll be happy with it.
Cheers! Found this video to be super helpful. Excited to receive my Logitech MX Master 3S tomorrow. Quick question, if you don't mind sharing, what camera did you use to produce this video? The quality was excellent.
Well that's exciting! Receiving new tech is just the best :) Do let me know what you think! And I appreciate you saying that about the quality, I've been working hard to bump up my game. I am using the Sony a7iv as my main camera. I believe in this video I was using the Sony 28mm F2 for the lens, however, I have upgraded to the almighty Sony 24mm F1.4 since then, oh baby! If you are interested in camera stuff I actually have a separate channel where I talk about camera related things. You can check that out here: www.youtube.com/@thesahdstudio
Loving the mouse so far! The mouse shortcuts are a godsend while editing videos 🙌🏽 Ah, the Sony A7iv is a beaut and the quality is next level indeed. Appreciate the info! Keep up the good work man 🎉
@@lojo6047 So glad to hear that. I'm still really loving it too. The quick clicks just sound and feel good. Thanks for the support 👊have an awesome weekend!
Hi mate. I´m SAHD too hahaha. I´m not on RUclips though, cool to see others like me on RUclips. I like your channel, just discovered it. Good quality. Good luck on your RUclips journey. Robert
Nice to meet you fellow SAHD! And thanks for the support, it is really appreciated. The RUclips thing is fun... it is very rewarding at times but it is always very grueling at times. Have you thought about doing it yourself? I'm always here if you ever want to brainstorm or just, you know, chat SAHD stuff :) I have double daughters (now 5 & 8)... you?
For those looking at this as a gaming option the polling rate is very low. So it won’t be ideal for games that require fast reaction like shooters or moba
For sure! For casuals like me gaming on it is just fine. I played High on Life / Halo, and it was sufficient. I could see a lighter/gaming mouse would be better for long sessions but for guys like me, it's just fine. I've been playing Diablo 4 which is lots of clicking and it's been great!
I would recommend it, I come from the wired Steel Series Rival 3. And with this mouse i'm much faster responding in FPS games. But with a dpi of 4.5K of course.
Man, you sure know how to persuade lol, you got me! I was confused between Logitech MX Master 3S and Logitech G502 HERO (which on sale now 50% off) ? Which one would you recommend? I don’t do gaming but mostly for work, long online research and video editing! Right now I use Logitech M325 wireless mouse which I was given from work few yrs ago! Now it’s going to be my first mouse shopping and I wanna end up with something worth buying and can stay for many yrs to come… thanks for your appealing review style
Haha glad you found the video! To be honest you really can't go wrong with the Master 3S. It's almost perfect. The other might be better for gaming, but ultimately based on what you said it seems like a no-brainer to get the MX... plus if you buy new you could always return it right? Heck buy BOTH and return one! lol
@@TheSAHDLife I think that’s the best way to go, once I try I’ll see which one feels close to my heart lol. I bought Mac Mini M2 Pro last week, didn’t open yet! I hope it’ll work with it better. Thanks for your feedback
@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 Oh snap, that's exciting! I've been thinking of making the switch to a Mac myself... I'll be curious how it is for you. And let me know what you think when you get your new mouse 👊
Trying to figure out what the S part is. I have this mouse without the S - I do know I've worn through this mouse and another like it. That silicone thumb switch, wears through as I use it to close apps. And it has a hole in it again. Wondering if a complex gamer mouse would be better, or spend another $100 on it again and wait 4 years again for it to fail too...
It's the quiet clicks... and they're awesome. I still love this mouse but I've started gaming on it and while I still quite like it for that, it really doesn't feel like that's its job. I'd probably opt for a lighter mouse if you know you'll be doing lots of gaming. I can't vouch for the thumb switch though... do you mean that small button on the button of the thumb rest?
Yeah you bet. They are the IViSii G2. I actually reviewed them on my other channel if you want to check 'em out: ruclips.net/video/_YKvcQ8yBwQ/видео.htmlsi=n2nwPjQG1-JILGfm
I loved the MX 3. Used it for years without issues, it actually reversed/healed my carpal tunnel. I was excited about the 3s until I read multiple reviews about there being quality issues with the left click button.
That's so awesome you actually healed while using it. That's really interesting about the quality issues... so far it's been amazing for me and the quiet clicks are just the best. I can't go back to a non-quiet clicky mouse. What are you using now?
Thanks mang! 👊 Although it's all changed / gone! We moved and I sold that monitor. However I'm in the process of setting up something new, hopefully it'll be even better lol! A lot of work though. Still rocking the mouse and loving it! What about you? What mouse are you rocking?
Hi. Do you notice any difference (especially in term of connection/lag) between bluetooth & usb receiver? Thanks for answering and keep up the good work.
To be honest, I don't. I game on this mouse and edit my videos with it and have not noticed the slightest lag while using it on Bluetooth. On my laptop I have a USB connector and have switched between it. It's the same. Hope that helps and thanks for the support! I appreciate it 👊
Even better my friend, I reviewed those lights on my other channel! You can check that video here: ruclips.net/video/_YKvcQ8yBwQ/видео.html They are rad!
Hi SAHD, thanks for the video and your replies to the comments below. I wonder if you'd share with us your recent experience overall about the mx 3s. Is it still comfortable and precise after a year. Thanks in advance.
Hi! Yes it's still fantastic! I use it mostly for video editing and photo editing and it's just great. I enjoy the weight and the size of it. You can game on it but it doesn't shine if you're playing twitch games.. otherwise it's still definitely the best mouse I've ever used and I still recommend it!
@@TheSAHDLife I appreciate your quick response indeed. I just ordered one from Amazon after watching your video. I will use it for all office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I will support my work by editing video content. It seems to be one of Logitech's most valuable and ergonomic mice. I hope I'm right. :)
I'm glad you found the video! Yes it's an awesome mouse, I still LOVE it. In fact I might sell my windows computer and switch to an Apple... and if I do, I will re-buy this mouse in the Mac version lol. Let me know if you get it what you think!
Is this mouse still recommended/relevant 2024? Im looking for a new mouse. Either this or logitech ergo one.. I figure i might by one for home or my office to see if i like it or not. If i like it i might buy one for home/office aswell. Mouse used at office is a wireless standard logitech mouse without a thumb button for back. I really miss that feature. So that is a little bit annoying. Mouse came with the logitech K860 keyboard/mouse combo. Im looking for a new keyboard for home aswell.. have been looking at either the MX keyboard or maybe the ergo.. but the small keyboard in this video looks kinda neat too. What kind of mousepad/mat are prefered/recommended? i know it comes to personal opinion and usage..
This mouse is absolutely still worth getting. Just make sure you get the 3s because that has the silent clicks which I feel are much more satisfying than the original 3. I did like the MX Keys myself but I would recommend the mouse 100% And the keyboard depends a little more on your usage. I'm considering getting an ergonomic keyboard at the moment myself. As far as for the pads go I'm looking into getting a felt one as I think it would have a nice gliding action. They're pretty reasonable price on Amazon but again like you said it's personal preference.
Oh yeah, and especially if you have poor ergonomics at your desk you might accelerate the process too. This mouse isn't perfect but it's more comfortable for me than most other mice. I wasn't trying to claim this mouse was best, only to help remind people that having the right (/good) tools is important if you spend a lot of time at your desk.
I notice there's a Mac version and a Windows/Linux version. I use both Windows (for personal) and Mac (for work). Would I get away with the Mac version on Windows? I am not buying two different units!
Here's what I found on the topic... Mac version: no dongle & USB-C to USB-C cable Normal version: Logi Bolt dongle and USB-C to USB-A cable I have the Windows one myself and since making this video, sold my Windows desktop and bought a Mac laptop. It works great on the Mac. So no, you don't need two.
I use the bluetooth connectivity and it works great. I just asked a commenter in my other video the benefit of using a wireless receiver vs bluetooth so if I learn anything interesting I'll report back to you lol
Master 3s is very good and ergonomic, but what I found out is that the scroll wheel is so unprecise :(. especially when i am drawing and want to scroll exactly I have problems...
Since I switched to Mac recently the mouse wasn't working great. I found an app called LinearMouse which has enabled me to adjust all the scroll speeds etc and it now works much better. Maybe if you're on Windows, you can find an app to do that same? Not sure if you tinkered much in Logitech Options +?
I bought the G502X lightspeed after 3yrs of using the MX master 3 (not the 3s). I got used to the horrible scroll wheel of the MX, now I'm rehabilitating from that with the new G502X.
@@TheSAHDLife actually yes!!! Both scroll wheels in the MX Master 3 do this weird thing, where they misregister how you scroll so you end up having a very clunky scroll experience. The G502X lightspeed, doesn't have a second scroll wheel, but the primary one has a sideways tilt mechanism for horizontal scrolling, in my opinion leaps and bounds better overall scrolling experience than the MX. Also and this is something I discovered recently because I'm a first time gaming mouse owner, being able to control DPI on your mouse (the MX has a 1600 fixed DPI), is just amazing. I use the G502X for productivity only but my screen is a 34inch ultrawide so by increasing the DPI to 2500 I can traverse the whole screen much faster and with significantly less physical mouse movement (this DPI adjustment also affects the scroll wheel so it increases scrolling speed) . The MX Master 3 allows you to program the buttons Per App! Which for some people is huge. The G502X doesn't have that, but allows you to save MACROS in each button, to me (a +12hrs daily Excel and PowerPoint user) this option is far superior than the MX Master 3 programable options. I know people praise the MX Master as a productivity mouse, but for someone who's willing to actually take the time and play around with the logitech's G-HUB software, the G502X for productivity can run circles around the former. My 2 cents in case this info helps :)
Hunges?! Hehe I don't know what you were trying to say there :) Does that mean you are going to get it or not get it 😅 I still love this mouse. I'm using it right now!
@sarakaster haha amazing! Once you go to silent clicks you can never go back. If you remember let me know what you think once you've had a chance to try it!!
@@TheSAHDLife Since you replied so nicely I am indeed coming back to you. I tried the MX Master 3s for 5 days and have to admit - she's too heavy für me. No, seriously. I therefore ordered the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED and although also not optimal (super loud click sound in comparison!) and in fact too light it's the better compromise for me since I love the two additional buttons right beside the left click area for the index finger. I would have really loved for "us" to work out but lol but did return the MX Master today...for some reason it just didn't click ;) Tbh something right in between those two in matter of weight and click volume would be IDEAL!
@@sarakaster Haha that's awesome! At least now you know! And it's a beast for sure. It's like a curling stone. I really like that while photo and video editing.... it's stable. But for gaming it's not the best. I still game with it and don't mind it but I wouldn't mind something lighter for that. Is the one you got a wired mouse?
That is a good question my friend but unfortunately I just don't know the answer! I can't see why it wouldn't work if other similar mice do. I'm sure you can Google it or find out on Amazon comments
🤣 haha awesome. If you remember please let me know what you think when you get it. It's so great, I hate going back to anything else after using it. Thanks for watching 👊
The problem with these productivity mice is the weight. 141 grams in 2023 is absolutely insane and once you start using something like a G Pro X or Deathadder v3 Pro it's impossible to go back to a mouse like the MX Master (though I historically always used those mice and still have an original MX Master)
That's a good point. I guess it really depends on your experience with mice and how you like to use them. I like the weight when I'm doing things like editing photos but I haven't tried those other mice.
I ended up returning the 3S. it's a terrible mouse. 6ft away and it stuttered all over the place. that's because you have to sit very close to the Bolt receiver since it's based on terrible bluetooth tech. instead, i bought the regular 3 (non S) that uses the Unifying receiver and it was night an day better. I could go 10 feet without a single blip. and it let me use my wireless keyboard at the same time, which the Bolt receiver refused to do.
Good call. That would be fun. I've been gaming more lately and I want to upgrade my mouse, so check it out. It would be neat to get a bunch of compare them side by side. What are you using right now?
I own the previous G502 for many years. At work, I have the beloved but discontinued G604 (hotswappable AA batteries, many months of battery life, more buttons but not too many). Nothing beats the G604 in my opinion, that's why I am so afraid of it breaking one day. If it does, well it's MX 3S (no mechanical scroll clutch) or G502X so that's why I need a reviewer hahah
Does this mouse come with a usb dongle? I want to buy this mouse but I'm hesitating cause I don't know if it comes with a dongle please let me know thanks!
So, mine did NOT come with the little dongle. You mean the little USB connecter right? It seems like others have received it so I'm not sure if it's just the one I bought or if it's different outside of Canada... it's a great mouse that has good built in bluetooth but yeah, the dongle would be nice if it came in the box.
@@TheSAHDLife Thank you for the reply I'm using a macbook pro so every usb port counts I only have two on this laptop. Since it doesnt need the dongle and can connect with bluetooth I plan to buy it soon. Thanks again great work!
@ZeBlaZeD so I just sold my MacBook Pro... And while the most worked with it through Bluetooth I don't know if it was because I had the non Mac version, didn't feel quite as smooth as it should be. Like it is on my Windows machine. I did have the windows version of it which I was using on the macbook so maybe be sure to buy the Apple version of it. I'm still really happy with it though and I'm sure you will be too!
I have four Logitech mouse the most common cheap that I bought in 2011 , I forgot the model and the mouse a friend borrowed it, a pebble, mx anywhere 3s and the mx master 3s , frankly it's easy to switch between iPad, laptop and xbox X
Is the bluetooth poll rate is only 90hz for mx master and mx anywhere? That will cuase cursor to look laggy on screen on high refresh rate screens will it not? Can you test that please?
Haha I love how you compared this to a curling stone. Typical Canadian, eh? Also, why are you playing video games in bed??? But yeah, the clicks are way better. Great overview. I just got mine today and was worried because I'm a weirdo and I love the Apple Magic Mouse and the Microsoft baseball mouse. This is like the exact in-between in terms of ergonomics.
Haha thanks! And hey, we put the kids to bed then don't want them bugging us so we're in the bedroom right away lol. What is the Microsoft baseball mouse?? I did a quick Google and couldn't find what you were talking about but I need to know! I am still happy with this mouse and LOVE the clicks however now that I bought a Mac... it works with it but, just doesn't feel as smooth on it for some reason. They sell a Mac version so I wonder if it works differently on here. I almost want a smaller lighter mouse for my video editing. But I love this mouse for photo editing. The magic mouse is good eh?
To be honest I don't even have a USB dongle. I can't remember if it came with one (it might still be in the box). If I get a chance to check or play with it I'll let you know. I'm happy enough with it's performance... I have pretty average use for a mouse although I do some precision work within Photoshop. I'm happy with it. Although for video editing I wouldn't mind a lighter mouse. This is still the nicest one I've ever used.
thanks. unfortunately i encountered another MAJOR problem. to use it and set it up properly you need Logi Option+. to use this "tool", you need to approve "input monitoring", which basically allow Logitec to record your keyboards input. I contacted logitec and they told me that they record only special function as gesture and hotkeys but, trust is not there for me. i work from home and handle highly confidential data. i don't want an external company (logitech) to potentially record my inputs on the keyboard. therefore i just un-installed it, and i'll sell the product. too bad as the mouse itself is GREAT. i currently use the old version, the MX master 3 (without the "s") and this one does NOT require this online monitoring nonsense....@@TheSAHDLife
@@Ares310788 That's interesting. Such a different perspective I would never have considered. Yeah it's tough when you just want to use the product with no strings attached! I just love the silent click of the 3S so much. That feature alone would make it hard for me to go back to any other mouse without it. Sounds like you got a decent setup now though!
yeah kind of... the old 3s that i have is, pretty old. 3-4 years of usage and well, the mous eis degreded a lot, plastic coming off and such. but again, used daily for work, around 9-10 hours everyday so, for the usage done it lastes quite long. i'd really like to use the new one but well, too hifh risk of breaching some "walls" with work so.... yeah. honestly, i really do not liek this kind of "we force you to accept this or you cannot use it" thing.... it's bad, very bad.@@TheSAHDLife
hi. everyone nice to know you all, i just brought mx master 3s, i face some problems,, can i know the led battery indicator on the mouse, is it always on? or only light up for few sec when connected with pc
Hi Alex, nice to know you too! I don't have any LEDs on my mouse, so that must be just while you are connecting it. Does everything else work nicely? Do you have Logitech Options+ installed?
Great video! Just ordered the mouse for work and light gaming. Just out of curiosity... do you use wrist rests? I have been using them for a while to mitigate wrist pain but I didn't see any in your video.
Thank you my friend! Be sure to let me know what you think once you receive yours. I don't use wrist rests. I find with my minimal setup and the full-size mouse pad that I use my wrists feel fine for the hours that I am at my computer. Although if I worked a 9-5 at a computer all day perhaps it would be a different story. With that being said, my wife (accountant) works at her computer all day and does not (nor would not, I just asked her) use wrist rests.... which is interesting because she has wrist problems. She just bought the Logitech Lift mouse but I still like the MX Master 3S better. Do you have one in particular that you like or are trying to find that perfect one?
@@TheSAHDLife will do! Oh understood. In my case, I just bought two memory foam cushions and they do help. However, I’m asking because I have a cheap wireless mouse and was wondering if the problem was the mouse itself. Even if the wrist rests help, I feel like they decrease the precision on the grip if that makes sense. I will try the MX Master with / without wrist rests and come back to you. Just subscribed. 💪🏻
My main mic is the Deity D3 Pro. It's great but it doesn't turn itself off which is annoying. I haven't sound treated my room too well but when the mic is close it sounds great! What you rocking?
I just got my mx master 3s yesterday and it is not smooth as trackpad or my cheap generic wireless mouse. I can't say it is laggy but it has tiny stutter. Do you also experience this? I tried windows, mac, usb, bluetooth(all combinations) but result was always the same.
Really!? No I don't have that at all. I do photo editing which needs the mouse to be precise and it's great... Same with gaming, it's wonderful. Aww man, maybe you got a defective one :( Yeah I would take it back or exchange it. How does it feel, do you like the design?
@@TheSAHDLife Thanks for you quick reply. I contacted logitech and they decided that the mouse is defective after I showed them the screen record of the cursor. It can noticeable even from the screen record. I opened a replace ticket on amazon. I will let you know about the new one. I really liked the design except the thumb botton for the gestures. I think it is little hard to do the gestures but it's not a big deal for me and I just can't enjoy of the full capabilty becasue of the stuttering :/
Oh that's good I'm glad to hear. Yeah to be honest I never use the gestures button... Maybe I will eventually. It's funny because I have the Logitech triathlon mouse and only once I got my new mx3s mouse did I realize there was a gesture button on my old mouse lol. If you do remember let me know how it goes once you get the new mouse!
@@TheSAHDLife Amazon sent the second one immediately. I got it today, tried it few minutes ago and the new one also has the issue. I uploaded the video that I showed to logitech support on youtube. You can check if you want to see the issue. By the way I haven't return the first one yet, now I have two latest and greatest defective mx master :D ruclips.net/video/idNIvJmeBAM/видео.html
What the! And you get those same results testing it out on multiple devices? Hmmm that's really strange. Well I am flabbergasted my friend. I'm sorry to hear it was such a bad experience for you... I feel like I've let ya down 😭
Nothing special. I'm still rocking an old Ikea chair which I've had for... 15 years? It was about $200... I think you can get the newer version for (inflation) $299? If I had to buy a chair right now though I'm not sure what I would get. Save up for an Aaron / Herman Miller? Can they be as good as they seem? I have no idea :)
It is the Very Mesh Office Chair from Haworth. I bought it used and while it's awesome, I wish the padding was slightly thicker. Other than that just fantastic!
Do you mean the vertical mouse in the video? Or is there a separate handshoe mouse you are referring to? The one in the video my wife got isn't for me... it also doesn't quite have the high quality finishing of the MX Master 3s. Different things but I think for ergnomics, hand comfort, and overall usability I much prefer the 3S.
@@meirgoldenberg5638 When I Googled it there were several with different designs so I wasn't sure which one specifically... but yes I saw this thing and it looks crazy. It looks like a Stingray! It looks slippery. I'm using the MX 3s now and it has a beautiful matte finish on it were that Hippus looks like a cheaper plastic. It might be great though! Also the scroll wheel looks nothing special. At the end of the day it's the design that matters... if I would have had the chance to test the Hippus, I would have. It's at a pretty expensive price-point and has a lot of competition. Are you thinking about it?
@@TheSAHDLife I have been using it for quite a few years now. You rest your whole hand on it and your hand does not touch the table. I decided to look at other options because the left button started to give problems. However, I have cleaned it inside it's fine!
That's awesome, I love it when you find a piece of interesting tech and it lasts for years! Do you use a mouse pad, if so what kind? Also what keyboard do you use?
It was the Very Office Chair from Haworth. I got it used for about $350 CAD. It was great BUT I felt the seat cushion was a little too thin. I ended up selling it and am still on a quest for the next best chair. I'm currently using my old Ikea one. It's still great like 15 years later...
@@TheSAHDLife haha awesome man, i bought a vertagear "gaming" chair maybe 4 years ago, mm, immediately i didnt like it but i was pretty much stuck with it due to ordering it online. it kind of fell apart way faster than i was expecting aswell, the most annoying thing is the spring for the back adjust snapped, i really need a new chair, once you find the perfect one def make a video for it if you feel up to it! i am still looking myself lol
i was thinking herman miller but it might be out of current budget, might be a good option down the line edit: looking at them tho, i dont really like how the arms are not adjustable, so the search continues 🫡 def was thinking of just getting that iconic ikea chair everyone reccomends by default
@@SereneRalts it's hard to beat the price or durability of the Ikea one... have you considered a Secret Labs? I sat in one once and it was fantastic. I don't know if I would order it blindly though. Part of me would rather go the Ergnomic route buuut I'm sure the gaming chairs would be dam comfy!
@@TheSAHDLife i have! they look really nice, my current one is a gaming chair, my only gripe is the racing ridges on the side that hold your shoulders in place can kind of get in the way and feel cramped in certian positions
Aw man, that sucks. Have you had it for awhile before it did that or did it just start happening right away. I have not noticed that with mine at all. I wonder if it was a quality control issue. I mean that shouldn't happen on a premium mouse like this. Are you going to contact them? They must be able to do something.
@@TheSAHDLife Returned it. Its a problem on all MX 3/3S, every single one of them. This guys shows: ruclips.net/video/-2wPJiLhiPE/видео.htmlm essentially its a huge downgrade to any mouse because you can't scroll fast repeatedly or change directions without being frustrated with the pauses.
@@christofferaasted yeah that is interesting. Definitely not something I have noticed, but I could see how that would bother some. He seems to like it otherwise. I'm not on the mouse otherwise I'd check it out... I'll let you know later when I get the chance. What mouse did you get instead?
@@TheSAHDLife I think people tend to ignore it because they use it in freespin mode, I'm more of a ratchet-mode guy and it was very evident. Its clear that if you use it slowly it reacts, but if you say go up repeatedly or down repeatedly there is a disconnect - maybe something with the traction or sensitivity of the wheel. I got the Razer ProClick and overall I'm satisfied for the price. Not a fan of Razer by any means but I think the shape, scrollwheel is much better. Feels a tad bit cheaper, and the left/right mouse buttons sometimes feels less clicky than I like, but its nothing compared to the 3S, which is very unsatisfying in the clicks to me at least with their low-noise clicks.
@@TheSAHDLife don't know actually. I does like howbit feels in my hand while holding still, but tend to slide out a bit when using. But my biggest issue is that it doesn't move on screen as I want. Either fast, or slow. I'm having issues with aiming without taking it really slowly. Use it mostly in Solidworks and such.
Are you on Mac or windows? Since I just switched to Mac I had to download a program called LinearMouse to adjust the speed since it didn't adjust properly in the OS itself. If you're on windows, hopefully the system settings and the Logitech + app should enable you to tweak it to what works for you. @@tegheim
Honestly, I just plug it in to my computer to charge with the usb-c charger I have for my phone. Leave it overnight and it's full then lasts for months! Wish I had a more exciting answer lol
Hmm I'm not sure exactly what you mean. On the mouse it says something about 5.0V with a 500mA battery but it's small and hard to read any other text. Hope that helps.
That is the mighty Samsung G9 49'' monitor, lol. Crazy right? I reviewed it on my channel too because it's so nuts: ruclips.net/video/qgSD8T8kCL4/видео.html
They are great no question but for me, when it comes to video and photo editing, nothing beats a mouse. Some people can use a touchpad for that but I cannot!
No eh? What do you not like about it? And what most did you have before? I still use it everyday and love the clicking action. I feel like the scroll wheels feel premium too. It's a bit heavy which isn't great for having but I like the weight for video and photo editing.
Aw that sucks :( Yeah it's tough to find a mouse to perfectly fit your hand. This doesn't fit me perfectly either but it's definitely not destroying my wrist. Hopefully you've found some good exercises to help you fix that.
It doesn't matter the mouse design if you have any idea of posture. That is not a selling point guy... it's just a mouse. It won't suck my off or nothing. Obsessed with symmetry when getting asymmetrical layout. The mouse you had at the beginning was symmetrical but it hurt your wrist... so much for symmetry. You are trying to sell snake oil. Impulse buy that someone wants to justify to themselves. Its an upgraded model nearly the same as the last generation. Like a s23 ultra to an s22 ultra. Not much changed.
Haha, well I don't know about selling SNAKE OIL. That's a little dramatic. It's a relatively cheap mouse that feels high quality and improved my work flow. It's thoughtful and my absolute FAVORITE feature is the quiet yet satisfying clicks of the mouse which the previous version did NOT have. So while you might think not a lot changed, I think that was a game-changer and I hate using my other mouse without the quiet clicks.
poor content and super biased. as an owner of the mouse I can say there are many cons to it. just even the fact that the copy paste functions hardly ever work on multiple computers except if they are like super new (2020+). even my razer blade laptop from 2018 isn't supported well enough. And then this super ugly side wheel that you accidentally touch and scroll through all tabs... man like pleas be serious and honest. don't sell your soul for money.
Hey man thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. So, if you disagree with me so much then why did you buy it? Is there anything you like about it? It's not perfect but I've used lots of mice over the last 30 years and I think it's great. I still do! And not sure why you think I get paid to make this... I'm a small RUclipsr man, what do you think I make!?? lol
DON'T BUY THIS. The mouse broke after a year, the right mouse button stopped working. Logitech does NOT want to repair the expensive mouse, so the service center claims that it was flooded
Aw that sucks. Mine is still working great and I'm happy with it. But that's pretty frustrating. Logitech seems like a pretty good company so it's surprising to hear you're having such a bad experience.
That's surprising to hear. I have an expensive Logitech keyboard (G915) and it developed a double input issue, and they replaced it with a brand new unit no questions asked, they didn't even ask for the broken one back. It was still within the 2 year manufacturer warranty.
dont use this mouse for any type of game that has a competitive aspect. also the honeycomb mouse is only considered a gaming mouse by newb players and youtube influencer-obsessed weirdos the lightness does nothing for your speed (it is in your head) it was a fad. The mx mouse is great for everything except competitive or mmo gaming. get a real mouse for gaming. Naga Trinity is the perfect catch-all gaming mouse if you really want a one-fits-all device.
Yeah sweet! That Naga Trinity looks pretty gnarly. I'm still happy with the 3S even for gaming but like you mentioned, I do NOT play competitive stuff so it's good enough.
Awesome! I'm sure you will be happy with your purchase... I still am. Really appreciate you watching and the comment 👊
so after all that you bought a microsoft combo or you meant to say MX?
No@@nmckinlay that was a typo, I got the Logitech :)
Just bought on a whim. Super surprised with the quiet clicks and awesome scroll wheel. It's a keeper.
Totally agree with the intro! Great job end to end!
That's for the comment, I really appreciate it 🤜I'm still loving the mouse (and the keyboard!). Have you or are you thinking about getting one!?
Good comment, thanks for sharing! How do you find the fit and weight of the MX 3S?

Good luck to both of us. lol :)
EDIT to add: The Logi rep was quite unequivocal and detailed when I specifically asked.
@@TheSAHDLife just order one it's not the same shape it's more comfortable! and work better with a mac
It's just solid right? I'm still happy with it and using it right now too! LOVE the silent clicks.
Appreciate the review, your kick back is on the way!
Haha awesome! If you remember please let me know what you think once you've had a chance to use it! 👊
just got mine in combo with keyboard and after 14 years of using gaming eqip. this is BRUTAL GOOD!
@@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588 im playing finals, and compared to mine G702 it's even better
Had same effect with the MX Master (one, without a number). This product line is a game changer, especially if you use multiple machines, or often are on tour. its also robust.
Right?! Logitech just crushes it with their keyboard/mice. Still happy with them both (keyboard AND mouse) months later.
Oh I'm so glad. I love reading a comment like yours, thanks for letting me know. If you remember, let me know what you think when you get the mouse! 👊

@@nielsverschuur7892 🤣
MX Master 2s is better for the following reaons:
1: Side scroll buton is at the side of the two buttons and you can rest your thumb on the bottom to use it, you have to lift your finger on the 3 - a bit silly
2: its a smaller size than the 3 - the 3 is more arched
MX Master 3 has silent clicks which I like a lot, last longer, usb c, charges quicker - maybe I just need to get used to it but the 3 hurts my hand a lot, the 2 not at all
I totally agree about the scroll on the side.
I will buy this when logitech develops their software for linux
Yeah I feel that. I wonder if they'll be releasing a 4 anytime soon. I feel like it's been long enough and it should be coming soon.
Haha that's awesome. Yeah tough call with the colour eh? The white IS slick. Was that the only one they had or did you want to mix it up?
lol yeah once you go soft clicks it's hard to go back. Everything else sounds SO loud in comparison. I had a nice little Anywhere mouse but had to ditch it because it was too loud.
@@TheSAHDLife I was otw to checkout and saw from the corner of my eye 😂 and just picked it up as I was lowkey not 100% with the vertical Mx
This mouse is missing one feature: A wire. That's why I'll keep using the G502 X. It's a similar shape but it has that cable.
I just built a new computer and... well luckily I had an old mouse with a cable kicking around, because you're right... I wouldn't have been able to set up easily without it!
Buuut I still love this mouse and am using it right now!
Planning to buy after started to feel the numbness on my right hand. I hope it's not too late.
I like how you said years and years of skills with a mouse. LOL . . . thanks for the review.

Great review! Could you tell me the brand and where you bought the tripod desk lamps? Min 2:01.

Hey! Guess what? A "good" mouse can cause injury just as easily as a "bad" mouse!
Mac version: no dongle & USB-C to USB-C cable Normal version: Logi Bolt dongle and USB-C to USB-A cable
I have the Windows one myself and since making this video, sold my Windows desktop and bought a Mac laptop. It works great on the Mac. So no, you don't need two.
Great video! One question though, do you need to use the USB receiver? Or can you connect directly via Bluetooth to your laptop?
I use the bluetooth connectivity and it works great. I just asked a commenter in my other video the benefit of using a wireless receiver vs bluetooth so if I learn anything interesting I'll report back to you lol
2:23 to pass the intro
👍 good call. Sometimes it's nice to know why people choose a product. But sometimes it's nice to notice what the product is hehe
I got used to the horrible scroll wheel of the MX, now I'm rehabilitating from that with the new G502X.
lol
That looks like a gnarly mouse. You happy with it? Anything you'd change? @@sawiie
Thanks, made my descision easier and based on facts and not on hunges!

I would have really loved for "us" to work out but lol but did return the MX Master today...for some reason it just didn't click ;)
Tbh something right in between those two in matter of weight and click volume would be IDEAL!

@@TheSAHDLife if Logitech can get the weight down on the MX line it would be amazing! Once you use a ~60g mouse for a while it’s hard to go back.
Do you not have the scrolling issue? I have it with mine and it's very annoying for development and scrolling through chat logs
I do not! Mine has been great. I even switched over to a Mac and it works great on here also.
Nice video. Could i get a download link for the wallpaper by the way
Sadly my friend that monitor is long gone and I don't remember where I got it :(
I ended up returning the 3S. it's a terrible mouse.
Can you not get the receiver for the 3s or does it come with the 3 with charging extra? Do you use it on a big screen and sit far away or something?
Can you compare it to the G502 X ?
Hi! Is the mouse in Graphite or in Black? Looking at colour options
It's black! I thought it comes in a white one as well. It's slick. Still love it!
This is an ad.
Na man I just really like the mouse. It was the first one in a long time that felt a little more thoughtful than the rest for how I might use it.
I have four Logitech mouse the most common cheap that I bought in 2011 , I forgot the model and the mouse a friend borrowed it, a pebble, mx anywhere 3s and the mx master 3s , frankly it's easy to switch between iPad, laptop and xbox X
Clickbait
I got the mouse along with a new laptop!
Nice! How do you like it? And what laptop did you get, anything decent?
@@TheSAHDLife yea its an acer, id say pretty good
Is the bluetooth poll rate is only 90hz for mx master and mx anywhere? That will cuase cursor to look laggy on screen on high refresh rate screens will it not? Can you test that please?
I don't know the answer to that BUT I am using a laptop with a 240hz screen with this mouse over bluetooth right now and it is smooth like butter!
Logitech just needs to make the G602 again.
I've heard good things about that mouse but never used it myself. Just fit nice in the hand? Good weight?
does the "connectivity" and precision change if you connect the mouse via bluetooth OR with the usd logi dungle?
@@TheSAHDLife thanks for reply, yes,the mouse is working fine and also i had install the logictech options+ thanks for the info
@@GeorgeArroyoMusic Glad to have you! And yeah I think the cheap mouse ergonomics don't help at all, but we'll see! Have an awesome one 👊👊
how does this perform in mac m2 chips? heard stories it has a lot of issues with lagging :/
If I could test this for you, I would. Sadly I cannot :(
Still really happy with the mouse, using it right now.
A silent click mouse is the best invention since sliced bread. Buy yourself one!
I can't go back to a clicky mouse... I won't!
thats a so much better, so yes
I'm still so happy with this mouse. Are you using it or planning on getting one?
What mic are you using?
Where did you get your mouse pad?
I think I just got it on Amazon. I still like it but think I'm going to get one of those full size felt ones next. Maybe grey or a dark turquoise?

@vmiget01 oh no way, I didn't realize they did other games. Nice!!
what chair are you using?
Nothing special. I'm still rocking an old Ikea chair which I've had for... 15 years? It was about $200... I think you can get the newer version for (inflation) $299?
If I had to buy a chair right now though I'm not sure what I would get. Save up for an Aaron / Herman Miller? Can they be as good as they seem? I have no idea :)
What’s brand is the blue chair?
It is the Very Mesh Office Chair from Haworth. I bought it used and while it's awesome, I wish the padding was slightly thicker. Other than that just fantastic!
Did you try the handshoe mouse? How does it compare?
Do you mean the vertical mouse in the video? Or is there a separate handshoe mouse you are referring to?
The one in the video my wife got isn't for me... it also doesn't quite have the high quality finishing of the MX Master 3s.
Different things but I think for ergnomics, hand comfort, and overall usability I much prefer the 3S.
@@TheSAHDLife No. I mean the handshoe mouse designed by Hippus.
Also what keyboard do you use?
hey whats the chair you got?
It was the Very Office Chair from Haworth. I got it used for about $350 CAD. It was great BUT I felt the seat cushion was a little too thin. I ended up selling it and am still on a quest for the next best chair. I'm currently using my old Ikea one. It's still great like 15 years later...
@@TheSAHDLife haha awesome man, i bought a vertagear "gaming" chair maybe 4 years ago, mm, immediately i didnt like it but i was pretty much stuck with it due to ordering it online. it kind of fell apart way faster than i was expecting aswell, the most annoying thing is the spring for the back adjust snapped, i really need a new chair, once you find the perfect one def make a video for it if you feel up to it! i am still looking myself lol
i was thinking herman miller but it might be out of current budget, might be a good option down the line
edit: looking at them tho, i dont really like how the arms are not adjustable, so the search continues 🫡
def was thinking of just getting that iconic ikea chair everyone reccomends by default
Scrolling issue where it stops responding to scroll events mid-scroll if repeat-scrolling too fast makes this a total worthless mouse.
Silent, but the accuracy... I have big problems...
Do you think the lack of accuracy you are experiencing is from the shape of the mouse or the bluetooth/wireless connectivity?
@@tegheim

They are great no question but for me, when it comes to video and photo editing, nothing beats a mouse. Some people can use a touchpad for that but I cannot!
Well I bought this mouse and I don't see why it £100 it isn't worth it
No eh? What do you not like about it? And what most did you have before? I still use it everyday and love the clicking action. I feel like the scroll wheels feel premium too. It's a bit heavy which isn't great for having but I like the weight for video and photo editing.

Me, me, me

poor content and super biased. as an owner of the mouse I can say there are many cons to it. just even the fact that the copy paste functions hardly ever work on multiple computers except if they are like super new (2020+). even my razer blade laptop from 2018 isn't supported well enough.
It is so disappointing because I was protecting this mouse like Frodo protected the one ring
@marcinkrzywdzinski297 aw yeah I do that too. I would be disappointed as well man. What do you think you're going to get next?
That's surprising to hear. I have an expensive Logitech keyboard (G915) and it developed a double input issue, and they replaced it with a brand new unit no questions asked, they didn't even ask for the broken one back. It was still within the 2 year manufacturer warranty.
Tsss thsss
Hehe I don't know what that means! Can you tell me?
dont use this mouse for any type of game that has a competitive aspect. also the honeycomb mouse is only considered a gaming mouse by newb players and youtube influencer-obsessed weirdos the lightness does nothing for your speed (it is in your head) it was a fad.
