I literally go through the EXACT same process... I'll always here a piano riff that reminds me of this and i spend around 10 minutes trying to remember the name (Inevitably putting The Pianist as my first thought, then luckily google still finds this for me)
Beautiful piece of art this is.

YuppyPlays holy shit, i actually cant believe how much this sounds like me. I watched this video years ago, every so often think of it and try finding it. Then forget what it's called again. had to Google "the piano player animation, boys parents fight" to get a yahoo answers of someone asking for the same video and an answer with the link. This video is touching, and honestly I can't believe how people all act the same way about it

This is it. This is what movies are all about, even though it is only a short clip. No glimmer or glamour. Simple well made animations with a masterpiece of music attached and a storyline interesting enough to attract attention and something you can relate to. I have seen 2 hour long movies, that had lesser emotions than this. And this one only lasted for 5 minutes. For creating this, you sir, are a genious. Dont ever stop sharing this kind of stuff to people.

After having an absolutely horrible day after months and months of continuous hardship I knew, deep in my heart, that this video was exactly what I needed to experience to soothe my soul and let myself cry it all out.
As a child of divorce this video always struck a chord with me from the first moment I watched it on Newgrounds. My heart breaks and is made whole every time I watch.
There are no word that can truly express the gratitude I feel towards the true composer of this masterful piece of art and music. Maybe one day I could write a song to give a body to those unknowable words.
Simply put, thank you for making this and thank you for maintaining it's presence for so many years. It's a generational lesson to be carried on to the next.

This is such a good video, what a genuinely stellar piece of art, the animation is solid, the story is perfectly woven and beautiful and gives the best story that speaks without being spoken about, with amazing music that sounds like it’s inspired by Debussy, specifically arabesque no. 1, which makes me like this even more since Debussy is my favorite composer and arabesque no.1 is my favorite piece ever written, truly a perfect melody(maybe even no. 2 as well). It truly is a piece of art that can convey exactly as it wants without having to say anything. And as Leonard Bernstein so eloquently put it “music can name the unnamable and communicate the unknowable..”. Truly gorgeous, thank you Jazza

This is relatable for me in many ways. My father never got along with my mother and still doesn't. He's never really around and in this video,I use things like music, animation, and video games as an escape for these things. They're divorced but I know a lot of people are really positive and have many inspirational quotes, but,I prefer the truth. People may not be able to be whatever they want to be and things aren't always great, but,it's better if we find something to do we escape from reality.
