    Hello down voters. Presumably the thumbs down because you are at home building something better than this? No, of course you ain’t!

    No artistry, no bling, nice wide nut. Great sounding as well! I would have loved to see his logo on that headstock though. Love this one Barry. How's the thumb action on the neck? Looks a little slippy.

      The neck is remarkable. Despite that smooth finish, it’s still a satin so neither slippy like polished gloss, or sticky like a bad gloss. Just right really

    Thanks so much for the review Barry.

    I think it's beautiful....not crazy about the color of the neck....but may like it better over time...but there we are. Sounds really nice.

    Baz is happy playing a handmade British uke. Do you ever buy any of the ukes that get sent to you? I'm curious as to how you can let some of them go.

    • @GotAUkulele
      @GotAUkulele  6 лет назад

      Don't think I ever have - it's kind of the other way around. The few ukes on the channel that I actually own, I bought before the review - things like the Ken Timms spring to mind. Don't think I've reviewed one then bought it. Been tempted many times, but I'm not looking to increase my uke collection.

    This morning i put my Kala Triback Limited edition with the misi pickup and my Cuatro Venezolano also with Misi acoustic trio pickup.
    For sale.
    And try to get one of this
    I really like my kala srmt Triback with Worth Brown strings, but i missing the natural sound because its with gloss finish.
    I will ask Kevin for a Concert with longneck .
    I am convinced because of this review.
    Hope it works.

    Love it! The tone is just excellent! Now I'm really torn among the Timms, a Martin, or this one...Maybe eventually, all of them. :D

    I really like this one. The projection. It slightly overdrived the mic at several spots. Nice review.

    Can you tell me some soprano ukuleles with a wide neck (maybe a soprano with a concert neck) that might be available in the US?

    • @GotAUkulele
      @GotAUkulele  6 лет назад +1

      Not sure about US - maybe Kiwaya or Baton Rouge

    Hi Barry, I'm looking for some advice. I've been playing a £20 soprano ukulele from Argos (my mum bought me it to introduce me to ukulele) for almost half a year now, and since I am definitely wanting to develop my ukulele playing I am looking to invest in a Concert or Tenor which is of a high quality, however I also need it to be under the £200 mark since I have been saving up all my pocket money for months! Are there any particular brands you recommend? Maybe a specific model? I've looked at the Flight DUC323 Concert and it seems to look really good. Thanks for any help, love your channel so much!

      I don’t give specific recommendations really - prefer my full list of reviews to do the talking. Anything with a score of 8 or above gets my recommendation - there are a few!

    How well does it fit into a typical hard case? My kanilea is an uncomfortably tight fit because of its big fat butt

    • @GotAUkulele
      @GotAUkulele  7 месяцев назад +1

      Mine lives in a regular TGI hard case just fine - the upper and lower bouts are no bigger

      Yes, I am quite impressed with the fullness of the sound, the length of the sustain, and the pleasantness of the tone.

    • @GotAUkulele

      Exactly how a good concert should sound I think. Nice mix of highs and lows - kind of half soprano, half tenor. Most often concerts don’t get that mix right, Kevin nailed it here.

    • @GotAUkulele

      Yes, it’s familiar enough to work, but a shape less commonly seen in ukes.
