Baz, that is really something, especially or the price. I'd love to play it strung dGBE. Baritones are great for claw hammer picking, and baroque too! Nice review. I think you should buy it.
Loving the look and sound of this and I've been looking to add a baritone to my collection for a while now. I hate the feeling of wound strings though. Do you reckon a set of unwound living waters on this would work well? Interested to hear your thoughts!
Barry, some of your reviews make my mouth water . . . literally not metaphorically. This is one of those. What bargain for a hand made instrument as well. A priceless treasure for 600 quid. Go figure.
@@GotAUkulele I found the world of ukelele through my aunt who plays a beautiful Lanikai banjolele with a resonator. I bought a tenor ukelele to start with. My grandfather, the wonderful man that he is, bought me a Deering Goodtime Banjolele. I bought myself the round Enya you reviewed to play indoors and this video convinced me to purchase a baritone banjolele. I have found such joy in the instrument and your videos too so keep it up! I'm a fan.
Sam Galante you can get specific strings for that, but I don’t see the point. This IS a ukulele - it’s a relative tuning so dead simple to transpose chords. You already know the shapes.
Sam Galante Yeah, Baz is right. And, if I may add, gCEA does not sound good on a Baritone. That is my very humble opinion, of course. (Good) Baritones sound amazing with DGBE tuning. Very deep sound.
What a fantastic instrument... I guess the waiting list will go on forever now, but will look to buy one of these myself in the future.. Completely wowed by that.. Great review, Thanks
This is a very nice Baritone Uke...I am glad that you did this review. I don't have a Baritone but, would consider this one...yeah, not a fan of the top hole but, I am sure I could get one without...Oh yeah, it doe sound really good....I would like to have one with a cut-away.....Thx, Barry
@@finnmcool2 Sorry - I mis read and missed the word tenor - yes - very similar - though tenor guitars tend to be steel strung - but yes - much more similar
Would love to see some more of these home made instruments! Thanks for reviewing all of them!
More to come!
Just Quired a wc tenor truly beautiful and sounds phenomenal
Paul is a bit of a magician!
Great all around. Do you know if he has a proper website? I can only find his facebook account and I don't use Facebook.
pixpusher just Facebook as far as I am aware
Thank you. I was afraid of that.
He does have a site. It's called Got A Ukulele.
I think he meant the builder - not me!
Oops, sorry, my bad.

I wanna buy my first ukelele, do you recommend the Ashton UKE200SP ?
Certainly not I’m afraid! Very poor quality brand
Fantastic sounding instrument! One to keep&grow old with.
Exactly that
+GotAUkulele Don't find it that often...

With a Bari wound strings kind of make sense. You can get unwound sets but they get really thick and flabby and don’t feel too good
Sounds great! Looks great!

Quite a few weeks away i’m afraid, but yes. But it’s a DS MAH
( I wouldn’t get too excited!)
Awww was hoping for something pointy and rubbish
Calum Sherwood ha ha!!!
Drooling!
Yeah - this one was an utter joy to review. Lovely chap too.

Such a beautiful ukulele, and the price is a wow, too! Seriously, a great deal!! Great review, Barry!
Loved my old baritone, I need to buy me another one and this one defiantly is high on the want list
It should be. Best baritone I ever reviewed!
Love it
What do you think about setting it up as a highGCEA. ,for us ukulele only players

Why not try dGBE?

Another uke for your collection
Nope - I was tempted to buy it, but virtually all the ukuleles you see on this channel are loaned to me only. They go back
Oh fair enough didnt realise Great review
There doesn't seem to be much difference between a baritone ukulele and a tenor guitar. Not even tuning.
World of difference in feel due to shorter neck. And of course range due to fewer strings. Tuned in same register though
@@GotAUkulele Tenor guitar only has 4 strings and the scale length is only 1 or 2 inches longer. Two roads leading to the same place, or so it seems.
