71 years old and it is still flying like a charm. What a wonderful plane that is. Levers, pedals, windows you roll up and down by hand, priming the fuel pump, totally a hands on experience. The pilot feels alive because he is actually flying the plane.

I loved the little sticker on the control panel, simply a stuck on little sticker, that tells the pilot not to go over 100kt with external loads - just in case he forgets. Loved flying in that plane

It was a once in a lifetiime experience getting to experience the park by getting flown in. I wouldn't trade it for the world, during tough trips we reminded ourselves how lucky were were to be getting paid to fly in some of the most incredible landscapes and flying over the land of rocks, trees and lakes. I took tons of video while flying in the Beaver as well. I wish you the best of luck in your new adventures!

A 1947 design and no one has yet found a type that's better as a half ton, go anywher, do anything pick up truck. The French tried it and ended up with what was basically a twin fin Beaver.
