4:38 is an overlooked gem of a joke from May
It's the reason I'm here 😂. Something has just reminded me of it and I had to find it.
The stamina these guys have is incredible, I mean a flat out 6 mile run would be taxing on the average person, but to do that whilst swan diving off 2 story buildings and leaping over cars, pillar boxes and people must really take it out on your whole body! These guys were amazing!!!
I'm dead after 13 feet so these guys are from space
@@tenderjerky3504 😂😂
@@tenderjerky3504 maybe they Superman relatives.
I mean they may have done the actual race, but probably not with the camera men lol
Although, maybe they planned the route and told the camera men to stand there?
04:23
Me in 2004: " Yeah I can totally do that"
Me in 2022: " I can feel the broken ankle and hernia from here"
That "come on" at 6:25 sounded like Jezza Clarkson 😆
"Why isn't it called Lyverpool?" haha
An eipod connector
When is anyone gonna bring May up to date with technology 😩
15 years later and these guys are still bloody legends
3:50 "Those damn kids having fun! They should be working in the shoe factory!"
James May:- How much zoom do you need?
Director:- YES
God those guys must be fit as hell, running and jumping constantly for however long the race took.
It's clearly staged 🙄
IM THE LITTLE GIRL STANDING UP IN THIS! AHA ITS SO FUNNY TO SEE MYSLEF;D
Damn, how old are u now, i wasnt there and it feels weird to see someone else talk like that oof
You must be around my age then
This world is crazy!
What’s the time stamp? 2:31?
@@erockstoenescu6171 nope, as I u understand - those three kids on a car park earlier than 2:31
Parkour: The French Martial Art of running away.
"a very pretty car"
it looks like the jokers crazy scary smile
"James May, possibly the slowest driver in Britain" Made me laugh, indeed the only guy who won't get off the first two gears on a Ferrari.
If the parkour people had goten rid of all the none needed flips/jumps they probs would be twice the speed
Normal man: runs along the sidewalk
Parkour people: runs along sidewalk and jumps over a common phone booth.....totally needed
They actually do it to control their landing, iirc.
yep. jumping over the trashcan at 5:07 is 100% required to control their landing
*Freerun people
Listen,
Freerun = cool tricks and stuff
Parkour = A to B As fast as possible
Ok lets do it this way. you jump off about 10 m without doing anything when you land and lets ser if your legs are intact
Just asking, but how many times have the parkour people broken bones practicing, so that they get it right
Between none and lots. The thing with parkour is slowly building up. You're obviously not gonna jump from massive buildings the first week you start training this, just slowly get better and more confident.
Anders Pedersen You might, but then it'd probably end up being your last week too!
Well there's always any combination of stupidity and/or overconfidence. No cure for that.
I do parkour you do not break your bones that much
the human body is hardier than you would expect
I knew Captain Slow would have had a hard time of it, but I was really impressed by their actually posing atop the building to make sure he noticed them before driving off.
The review of the car (yes, I did take notice of that) was also very well done for the urban driver.
God knows Richard's stuff is on the excitement and Our Host's is sheer bloody power (on the scale of Tool Time), but for people driving in the real world? James May. (Don't even ask what the Stig's is all about!!)
You know it's staged when James is competitive!
"Keeps them off the streets" :D Love May but he should always have his hair like he had in the Vietnam Special
They are the modern assassins.
Welcome to the brotherhood!
Dude with the white shirt is really GOING OFF!... He's Crazy (yet skilled).
I agree, they would have planned the route so the camera crew could have got set up where they were going.
i like the rant he had in the end about the beer gut belyl and the surf board stomachs and the trousers haha
I guess Mr. May didn't know that people who does parkour sometimes climb high buildings for fun.
0:22
Holy crap, it has a TV inside! Composite connection! FUCK YES! I need only that to play PS1 in the car.
Captain Slow living up to his name.
awesome camera work, ladies and gentlemen!
what;s the song at 5:08 called?
btw the handstand at the high building wuz sick
I wanna have a Peugoet 207, when I had my driving licence!! The car is so cool ;)
did u ever get one lol. and danggg ur comment is from 11yrs ago!!! 😳
The first Top Gear video with a Top Gear clip
the song at 1:34 is "fight without honor or humanity" great song i love it
It's hilarious seeing those incredible parkourists pulling off that stunning mobility interspersed with a boring guy driving a boring car. :)
I'm trying to get into parkour myself, but it's slow going, especially since I live out in the country, so driving to the city to practice, coupled with being generally out of shape, kind of takes away a lot of the zip. :P
Are you still doing parkour?
Are you still doing parkour?
OMG at the end HANDSTAND REALLY FEARLESS
love the guy at 3:50 haha. what a grump.
RIP Topgear
Todd Moon yes

6:39 Them blues be playing Vector 💀
You'll never run alone :P
notice the scene cut on all the big jumps?
Capt' slow: 'scuse me sir do you know where the liver building is?
Man: You mean the Lie-ver building..
Capt' slow: Then why isn't it called Lie-verpool?
the guy in white is so cool..diving off like that...got big balls to do that
the technique used is called a 'break fall' or 'break roll' and is bloody useful doing that sport.
Now THAT'S A Victory Pose.
Rightous Vid
The ending... LOL!
@tranz2deep In addition, I should note that for the Parkour/Free Runner connoiseurs out there, the performances the men put on indicate one was more acrobatic than the other, so you can cheer over both variation having defeated James.
Just saying.
I would love to know how those guys jump off those things. It's really amazing what their body does.
Love the way he sais ipod
old person at 3:49 =P love the reaction
@h0Ld they could have a pre determind route and place cameramen and fixed cameras at certain points
Except for that first flip in the video, since it actually served to get over the bar quicker than a vault.
5:06 love It :)
That was not Parkour, that was FreeRunning..
Awesome challenge!
Awesome Video!
Awesome Moves!
Awesome Car!
Both were represented. The white-shirted one was the flipping acrobatic runner. That's freerunning. The brown-shirted one was more conservative in his jumps and targets, the parkour "puritan" of the pair.
Whats the song at 5:32??? I love it but got no idea who it is or the song name!
Parkour is amazing also, wish i could do it but i'm a bit too big for that lmao
Yay! Sufjan Stevens!
Top Gear is just so much more amusing with May.
man those free runners were insane!
those guys are crazy
NIce car, nice end parkour!!!
I did not expect to hear a Sufjan Stevens song on Top Gear
beasty movement with the white tee guy
that was cool at the end when they were standing at the top of the building
Those Parkour cud be the next assassin's creed. All they need now is hey carts.
can you do a show on short cores race trock (trofy truck)
pretty damn impressive for they didnt stop once !
4:35 is some sick move
Great Video!
@TheManForeva tripod* its something u set ur camero onto, it has three legs = the car was on three wheels.
Thanks! :)
amazing parkour!
them guys are sick gud stuff
@bwarno idk... i may be wrong, but they might have counted the miles from the descent from the parking garage
Hahahaha the guys doing the parkour are just like. "What took you so long?"
Amazing, rly amazing parkour :)
5:15 priceless
those guys had some serious stamina to do that.....
Hell yeah Sujfan Stevens in the beginning. And stuff like this is why Top Gear is the best show on TV.
Captain Slow and his incredible skills.
0:20 "It's got an Ippod connector"
@SNZStudio do let me know when u get it!
Whats the music at 5.32 to the end?!
@col000in in that case... but for me the M6 is my favorite BMW
Parkour and free running is not the same thing.
Parkour is all about moving from one point to another, from A to B, as fast, as efficient and as controlled as possible. Thats why flips and other tricks are considered inefficient and is classed as free running.
wow sure they got a nice view from the top of liver building ...
amazing Parkour
I trained for months and months and I learned how to do that! 3:10 to 3:12
I'm 16 and I love this sh, nice
@TMovieKlip Actually, as you rather stated, a russian made parkour, and his name was David Belle. I don't know if he made it while he was in russia because as you know, it was very popular in france. thats all i can tell you about parkour, but i think a fellow named Sebastian (last name forgot) created freerunning after parkour.
Oh the joy of adblock xD
@TheManForeva tripod* its the thing u set ur camera onto to xD
I took my drivings lessons in that car :D I quite like it!
But sadly, mine didn't came with James May :/
what car do you drive now? :)
Yeah, even my sat-nav doen't have a clue in liverpool, it always just sends me around in circles for half an hour and then conspires to get me in the tunnel. I now avoid driving to liverpool, trains are easier lol
love the killingjoke music :D
crazy people hahaha i still odnt get it how they do this kind of stuff like that its so cool
it really does
Does anyone know the name of the song at 2:55?
whats the song at end?
@123Steaky yeah, but i still felt like complaining about it.. it just spilled out :P
wow that parkour shit is awsome
You've got me. This is one competition that involves traffic lights and congested roads. That was scary.
i love the assasins creed like leep of faith at 2:10 and at 2:29
