A few months back I studied pic of Miranda's Peach truck map. On her map it seemed there were 3 iterations of the village over the centuries based on people in the real world were travelling. The original village was based on travel on boats in the river. The second iteration of the town was based on rail roads. And the current iteration based on roads for cars. All iterations of town had similar buildings and layout. I think the reason why the town doesn't have a motel is because the original town back in the 1500's had no motels.
So my working theory on the Motel is just logic based and nothing else. Remember how Tabitha "Shouldn't have been digging that hole Jim?" Well she dug down deep probably into the tunnels below and the Entity caused the house to literally implode and sink. I have always figured there was a Motel and someone dug on the property decades before and the damn thing sunk just like the house did. They likely took the lumber from the Motel and used it to build other houses, and the bar (look at it looks slapped together). Anyways that's my 2 cents on the motel.
It's all good. But if you look around inside there are a bunch of signs that say "Oil" or something like that. And there is a drink cooler on there that says "Cold Drinks," maybe a cigarette sign. Those aren't super obvious. And the pumps outside are super old times. But, it does say "Gasoline" in big, obvious letters outside on the building. It's featured in one of Miranda's paintings, too. And the set up is more bar oriented with the counter serving as the actual bar and the tables in the main store area. So that makes it less obvious, too.
@@ParklinMedia The name of the hotel is missing for a reason so we don't know the exact location. When Tabitha wakes up in the real world, the doctors say they found her lying on a dirt road in the forest. The lighthouse she fell out of is long gone in modern times, but she was discovered in the same spot the light house used to be. Victors dad said there was the original bottle tree in a modern day park. I suspect that is the original bottle tree in Fromville.
That would make sense since we see light shining in from the hole where the roots are. If it was the roots of the faraway tree, there wouldn't be any light coming in. Plus, the symbol gave the children hope. If it's the roots of the tree in the road, that tree gives the children hope as well because it stops certain people from passing, drawing them to the town, thus one step closer to saving the children. I like your theory. Makes the most sense.
@ParklinMedia I think I've seen it twice. Look at when Jim and family first enter town and is driving around. In fact, the bar might be the gas station
What you said about the Boy in White possibly being an angel struck me. When Elgin was talking with Julie in the kitchen at Colony House, when they were smoking a bowl, he was telling Julie his grandma would say "That's why even the angels would say Fear Not". I've learned there are a lot of what we may consider "throw away lines" throughout the show, that end up actually foreshadowing different things.
Father Khatri is literally Kaa in a tree. A tree spirit. Like in Jungle Book. Kaa means soul. The word is as old as India and Egypt. I think he's going to show up as a giant (possibly crooked) snake.
Finally somebody talked about the hotel lol when victor dad got there he said something about the hotel sign being there lol like damn they just got skip over that 😂
Question is, when and how did Fatima get pregnant if she was already pregnant when Ellis got the blood transfusion from Boyd post worm 🪱 ? Also, who is the mom and dad or was a mom and dad required?
the name fatima mean born of a prophet aka virgin Mary so maybe it was immaculate conception. I think the characters names have something to do with the story @ParklinMedia
I think that the original 'Ritual' was performed by the early settlers (Pilgrim drinking blood from a skull?) They could have been elected to lose an eye in honor of Odin? The entity, playing with them granting eternal life (Reincarnation?) Which backfires, as they die, reincarnate; and are drawn back to Fromville over the years in a repetitive trap to be toys for the entity. Plus, I doubt tourists, or indeed anyone can enter, even find Fromville unless brought there deliberately (from all over the USA) by The Entity. Some people who have committed the ritual, probably become the creatures?
The man in yellow was the original person that killed the children in the dark and gained eternal life and powers. He’s the same person on the radio and doing the voices to Jim.
So y'all are gonna think I'm crazy, but, I think the Boy in White started out like Jasper. A wooden boy. And through fey magic, became a "real boy" who never ages. Yeah, I'm talking about a similar origin story as Pinocchio. But now, he's aging. And his master was/is a bad dude. Probably was. Because I think there's a new big bad dude, now. But I also think those stick people are his creations. And so are the trees. I think it goes way back and comes from Druidism and Greek Mythology. I think old Druid Gappetto stole a sacred grove. Like Demeter's sacred grove and carved fake children and had a deal with the fey to "turn them real." And I think Victor, Miranda, Eloise wrote the Bible. In the form of Fable type drawings. So make no mistake, this place is like maybe a prison, or a shelter for Fables and Figures from Folklore and Mythology. But the Holy Book is Victor's. And maybe Ethan's one day. I think the characters are all characters. And mostly, they don't remember though Victor and Tabitha are starting to remember.
What is that big boarding looking house next door. Maybe that’s the motel ? Although I do like the hidden secret locations theory too. Hopefully it isn’t something that gets forgotten as the series ends down the line and is eventually explained.
They don't have no one in the show doin reasonable stuff like forcing answers you have fire what happens to the monsters on fire they have these land marks but are not looking deep enough
I'm wondering how come nobody in that town ever thought to chop up the tree in the road? Or craft some weapon to behead one of the monsters, see if that kills them. There's axes, I'm sure there's other farming tools they could use to try to kill the monsters. A scythe maybe? 🤷♀️
I don't think true angels look like demons. For one thing, they are beautiful...bright. They can appear as a man. That goes for both, but in their true nature, non-fallen angels remain clothed by the glory of God, and while demons might appear as an angel of light, I don't think it's the same.
The questions is not "where is the Motel?" but "when is the Motel?".

Ik that railroad was an important clue

I posted the same theory weeks ago and nobody would listen lol she painted the motel in 2 of her paintings, it’s a yellow building
I wish I had seen. I did not notice it in the paintings.
Can you point out the episode id like to see
The gas station they have converted into the bar. That's where Jade does his obsessing.
I must have missed that. 😆

@@ParklinMedia Yes, there is a ruined gas pump.
I think the hotel had a basement that acted as one of the places you could get to from a far away tree. That's why Dale was found in the pool wall.
That's a DAMN good theory
Love this. Makes perfect sense, its all there just in different dimensions in time.
Maybe Julie, Marielle,or Randall will be able to access hidden buildings

I don’t think the “roots” are the far away tree, because there is more than one far away tree. I think it is the tree in the road that everyone sees.

There is a gas station...
Which season and episode did you see it?
@@ParklinMediaIt's the bar. Where Jade always is.

The Man in Yellow is a name indicating his existence and communication. He’s in the lights and communicating when the lights flicker.
I love this theory Parklin. LOVE IT!! I was thinking of checking out Midnight Mass........definitely going to watch now.
It's so good!

I think it is Lovecraftian in nature, Man in yellow might just be The King in Yellow.

Drinking the blood and eating flesh can give ghosts new life, I think. I think that's why the Kimono Witch wants Fatima's baby.

You're not alone in the craziness. Welcome to the club 🤪
I actually like your theory.
Thanks ❤️ 😊
Man in yellow is the older boy in white
Way Kool theory, dig it

I feel this is just a Nightmare
Bro, watch Stephen King's Storm of the Century.
Ok
Colony house is the motel??
Excellent theory! Season 4 hopefully? Similar to “The Lost room”
Need to find a room key!
I think all from is the motel
