I was digging a hole, much smaller with my father, using shovels, and it took us around a month. Also, you get very exhausted by digging.
So I don't know how long it'll take for this project to get finished; wondering why the rain seems to not affect the walls, considering that it is a time consuming project and, considering the vegetation and the soil, it must be a tropical area, where it rains a lot

Even with machinery this is still an impressive build, as they probably had to use hand held power tools for the fine detail work, which would have taken dozens of hours even with a team of people.
