I am so happy to have found this video! The best part is that it was under a minute and got straight to the point. No lengthy intros, wacky background music, shout-outs to whoever made the screwdriver used in the video, and no detailed history of watches and/or general timekeeping. I used a letter opener to lift the clasp, slide it in to position, then snap it into place. The fitting was really tight and hard to move, but it loosens up the second time. THANK YOU The Watch Hut!
I've had two watches with the clasp, first had no issue, the clasp was tough to open and shut for adjustment but I could do it barehanded. The second was almost impossible to open barehanded (needed to use a tiny lever), it was even harder to shut! I found a comment that recommended pliers and I can testify that it worked for me, just make sure you use a cloth inbetween the clasp/watch and pliers so there is no scratch. Use a sort of pinch and pull motion with the pliers, as if you were using them to pinch and stretch play dough.
i was given an old casio nearly 2 years ago and it has been too tight for most of the time, it never occured to me. this is a lifesaver for me thanks greatly
Thanks for the video. Is there a way to actually remove links to shorten the tailpiece? I'm a skinny old man and there are a lot of extra links that I find an annoyance. Thanks.
Isheba Gayle - make sure you put the arm band back on a flat surface and make sure they are aligned on the grooves. Worst case scenario your clasp is bent out of shape
@@OliviaOnline So after you wrap the thing around your arm you have to make sure you put the little " hook" into the little metal bar thing. If you did this right, then you should just be able to press the "outer door" ( don't know how to call it lol) in and it can be opened easily again
nvm I got it, it just kinda took a lot of force, and I was scared at first I would end up bending it too much. now it opens and closes pretty easily though 👍
Im so thin i have the same watch from the video(casio650b) with an adjustable clasp the problem is the clasp already reached the maximum adjusting point when i wear it still doesnt fit for me because im too thin for it. Can a casio650b watch’s link can be removed ?
Guys if you’re in a pinch and cant find any similar tools - Sharp knives/sewing needles work well. Of course use with caution, your clasp could be rusted shut or just plain stuck, so a tiny bit of force might be necessary.

"shout-outs to whoever made the screwdriver used in the video"
lol
scooterdeb this is probably my favourite all time comment. 😆👏
100% agree. I used a mini screwdriver from a Christmas cracker. Knew it'd come in handy one day!
Dear lord i was about to over complicate the matter! Thanks for making it clear. Casio should include this in the directions!
Subbed.
Straight to the point and no jibber jabber.
Clear and precise.
I love this style. Once you get used to it, it’s super easy to adjust and much less of an annoyance than having to remove links.

I am pressing as hard as I can on the clasp, but it just won't shut. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Huuuge help! It used to fall off because of how loose it was!!! Now it’s perfect! Thanks for the video 🤎
thank you so much - neither the enclosed manual nor the online instructions mention how to do this on the new little A700 i picked up today
Thank u thank u thank u very much. After 15 hours of struggle.... Your this video came to my rescue...Thank u :D

i used the handle of a pair of scissors just put it between the two halves and pressed it together!
Thanks it worked for me !!!❤@@maybemaybemaybe333
How do you take off some of the excess though? mine is SO long it almost loops all the way back to the watch itself.
Thanks for sharing, it's help me a lot. I get mad to find the way to adjust the clasp
Big thanks 💖 I didn’t know this is adjustable until I saw your video ❤️
Succinct and super helpful, thank you! I thought this was going to be so much harder.
Thanks for your time and effort to make this video. 👍👍👍
Easy to follow and straight to the point... thanx for the upload 🙂
Thank you! I was concerned i was going to have to get it professionally adjusted
This watch I have fall a lot from my wrist ... It opens itself ... What do you suggest ? Thanks
Bro I am so happy ❤i almost thought that i just broke my watch strap but it went ao smoothly 😊
OMG GOD BLESS YOU!! MY BOYFRIEND GOT ME A WATCH AND I HAVE REALLY SMALL WRIST AND WAS BUMMED THAT IT DIDNT FIT AND I THOUGHT I COULDNT ADJUST IT!!!
Thank you! I used the tip of a pen worked just fine
Thank a lot for the straight to the point approach!
I couldn't push the adjuster down because it's too hard. Mine is La670. any help ?
Thank you very much!
So there is a way out to adjust the length of the watch without removing its links!
Holy crap thank you so much for this video. Most useful!
Not all heroes wear capes. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful ☺️
Can I put down the Clasp "Anywhere" on the Band....just pressing down hard enough. Or does it only clasp down AND "Fit" in the ridges?
It seems it only fit the "bridges" as you say. At least mine does.
Simple but helpful. Thank you.
i have the same watch and was able to move the clasp but can't close it no matter how hard i press down on it. it's very frustrating :/
Angelica U mine does that too, did you manage to close it?
Dude I got a fix: You gotta put it in the right way. I put mine in the wrong way ( Don't ask me how I did it) but it works just fine xD
Also try to experiment a bit, certain areas seem to work better than others
I beg you, please elaborate@@kavemustermann

Thanks! I was about to break my too-tight watch until I watched this video.
Thank you so much for posting this video!
Hi
How do you replace the battery on this watch. I can't seem to find anything online to help with this.
Thanks in advance
Thank you for uploading this video, I was struggling to find the way (although simple) and you explained it so easily!
How can I cut the extra strap?
Where can I get one of these sliding bits of the clasp...mines lost?
thanks to people telling me to use pliers. my clasp is bent out of shape and broken now.
Thank you, this was very helpful!
Excellent - thank you!
Can you tell me how to remove the links on this watch? I have a lot of excess at the end
No matter how hard I was pressing I couldn't close the clasp.. the nose pliers did the trick for me, as recommend by someone else here.
Hey guys! I just found a solution to the problem I had mentioned related to 0:42. Just use nosed pliers to close the clasp! Hope it'll work now :)
Yes, that worked for me! Thanks!
this video and this comment - what a lifesaver!
thank you you saved me!!!
I used a teaspoon to close it!
Any chance I can remove links from the model of watch ?

Anyone know where you can get a replacement clasp (UK)? Feel like I've scoured every corner of the net and can't find one.
Any luck, Tom? I'm having the same problem...
Sorry mate, none at all. Found a place you can ship them from the US but for the price of the shipping you might as well get a new watch
I know this is very late but any idea where we can find a replacement clasp yet?
