Driver: San Francisco was truly awesome. It was so much fun that after I beat it, I ended up going back to the original to finally complete that game. Both games were honestly some wonderful pieces of driving game media that I'm still sad it was the final entry. I actually used to play the online gameplay quite a lot, so when I heard it was shutting down, I popped the game in during the final week of its life and played almost every multiplayer race that was available. Shame on Ubisoft for stopping such a fun revival train...

I always heard this game was a hidden gem recommendation, but the presentation of the story and the execution of the driving really surprised me. Great game, one of the best of its generation.
This game is my favorite split screen game of all time. Playing tag when you can teleport into any car on the map was just insane!! If anyone has this game and a good friend or two, and hasn’t tried split screen yet, I highly recommend it.
I got an Xbox 360 in 2011 and Driver: San Francisco was one of the first games I bought for it, not to mention my first Driver game. It's since become one of my favorite games of all time. I love the absurd story and gameplay. It's satisfying to zap in and out of vehicles, and the missions make the most of this mechanic. Also, this game's soundtrack slaps harder than the engine of a Shelby GT 500.

Hey, I'd like to take an opportunity to remind you about World's Scariest Police Chases for PS1. It's a game that took the mission-based structure of the original Driver games and put you on the crime-fighting journey as a member of road police officer. Please give it a try, it's totally worth it

I kid you not, I got goosebumps as you described Tanner's situation, how he's in a coma throughout the whole game. It's soooo well done! You described it perfectly, but it hits much more when you actually play the game. Like you don't really know what's going on, you think Tanner might be dead, he might be fighting for his life, he might actually have these special abilities.
The jokes they put into the random interactions with the passengers is pretty funny, the story and writing is flawless. I like the callback to the old TV show Quantum Leap too. And my jaw dropped multiple times, the DeLorean side mission, and especially close to the end, the you-know-which mission and the Jerico chase mission. This game is simply AMAZING and everyone should play it!
I wish I could buy the rights to the Driver series. I hate it when game studios keep IP's on hold without doing anything with them.
I'm so glad I managed to find a copy second hand a couple of days ago. Just as good as I remember.

As for the game - it's absolutely fantastic, even though I don't like the race games in common - but this one just hooked me since the first mission.

Driver: San Francisco is Extremely Hysterical and Frivolous i’ve laughed at the entire scene. That This Is When The Events That Occurred Happened When John Tanner Is In A Coma John Tanner Doesn’t Know Remember Realize That He’s In A Coma. But Charles Jericho Tells Him, John Tanner Now That He Remembered Knows Realizes Hes In A Coma. Tobias Jones Thinks That John Tanner Has To Get Hospitalized. Tobias Jones Has A Negative Reaction Of A Shift And Doesn’t Care.
I love this game but what sort of turns me off is how 90% of it takes place in Tanner's mind. I mean how can Tanner bust Jericho's heiarchy in his own fake reality?
I played the Xbox Live Arcade demo of Driver SF for days
I remember buying this game off Zero Punctuation's ultra positive review of it even tho he historically has hater racing games. Still never played it tho, but it looks a lot of people slept on a cult classic.

Ubisoft more than likely would have made a mint if they had of made a new driver game or even a remaster of driver sanfrancisco instead of making a $100,000,000 loss that I have heard they have lost on skull and bones so much wish they would bring all the driver games back to the ps5 and make more new driver games again one of my most love gaming franchises

Not to be that guy, but I think one major upgrade to these videos could be made-- removing the TV thing around the edge. I get why it's there, but it's a bit distracting.

Have the game for 360 and play it on my One S. it’s a banger game and it’s a damn shame that the series didn’t continue, but I guess it’s a good thing that they left it…
