Wanted to tell you that me and my brother still play car tag in split screen in driver San Fransisco to this day whenever hes in town and its still so fun to swap into a ramp truck right before he ramps it which obviously counts if anyone reads this you need to try the multiplayer in this game its some of the most fun I've ever had.

I've worked on this game. I had no idea it was delisted. I don't think I can overstate how much blood, sweat and tears the dev team shed to get this game out. Learning it was delisted hurts. Learning that someone actually cares enough about this game to voluntary step into Subway makes all the difference to me. Just signed your petition. And thank you, Nick.

If you were on the dev team you would have been aware of the basic fact you were making a game filled with other people’s licensed content (the cars) and so it would be based on a limited term contract the inevitable end of which is the game being delisted/not available for sale in it’s original form.
@@fioredeutchmark Well, 2011 is a long time ago and not every dev worked in the licensing department and is aware of the specific contracts with each car manufacturer. But I didnt come here to proof anything, or convince anyone, I came here to thank Nick for doing what he is doing.

To date, this petition has just under 160k signatures and gets new signatures daily. It’s incredible that this many people have called for it’s relisting and it still hasn’t happened. Thank you for actually doing something about it! Great video by the way! The subway gift card had me dying 😂

My guess is whoever owns the website uses the gift card codes they get in exchange for game keys to go buy food at subway.
For anyone who's curious, it's actually because Subway giftcards are actually just regular visa giftcards. They can be used to buy anything, anywhere, because they aren't actually unique or tied to internal Subway systems.

I’m kinda surprised if it hasn’t been given backwards compatibility on Xbox, the game already runs at 720p60 with great textures, all they’d need to do is up that to 4K with AA and add 16x AF.

The graphics still hold up pretty well for being over a decade old, especially with how well they did the tire smoke. It's backwards compatible on Xbox so you can buy a used 360 disc and still play it!
I remember it coming out and remember hearing the jumping thing but the reviewers never made it clear how innovative it was and how cool the idea works with the game.

As weird as it sounds, I know a shop in my country that sells 19 (were 20 but I got mine a couple months ago) sealed, brand new copies, for cheap. The DVD doesn't work perfectly on Windows 10, but the key works flawlessly in Uplay.

I have a friend who used to collect subway giftcards and buy them a lot, telling his parents that he was paying for subway for lunch/dinner, when in reality, he was using them on League of Legends, which apparently accepted them. I still have no idea why League of Legends would accept subway giftcards.

I bought Halo Wars 2 Ultimate edition from it back when HW2 launched, and was supposed to get HW1 DE with the digital code Amazon gave me. Never got it, but I did get HW2 and the HW2 season pass. Had to contact MS about it, and MS kindly gave me a HW1 DE digital code of my own so I could get the game. I'm pretty sure they fixed whatever was going on with the HW2 Ultimate copies Amazon was selling to.

honestly sad that 8,000,000 people have watched this yet only 160,000 have signed the petition. The game had such an immersive gameplay and i consider myself lucky to have experienced such a game. This game definitely deserves to be relisted or a remake especially with the advancements in graphics that can be seen on modern ubisoft games and the like.

It's not like it's anything common to have more than 50% views be active. More than a quarter of all views are either acciental, or viewers that leave after a few minutes. Most are just passing viewers that only first discovered or only have viewed 2 or 3 videos of the channel. Honestly, an entire 2% of viewers going out of their way to do something you ask them to is uncommon.

I must have spent almost 1000 hours in this game, maybe more, and I've never ever waited for something to happen so much, this masterpiece getting it's dues from fans. An absolute masterpiece, I think I can say I've used the shift mechanic in as many situations as humanly possible, and it works flawlessly everytime, the character work is on par with how much fun you can have with GTA.

The Ubisoft page for D:SF links directly to an Amazon PC key, though Ubisoft asking $20 Standard/$25 Deluxe for an 8 year old game is a little Steep (pun intended). Be aware that it doesn't list Windows 8 or 10 as compatible, so it might not work right straight out of the download.

@ricoimf777 it works on series x as backwards compatibility. When I downloaded it first time it said it wasn't available, but don't be quick to give up. A second later driver started to install. If you dont get that message, happy days but if you do, don't take out the disk

Subway giftcards used to be pretty popular over the lesser side of the internet. subway giftcards were unlocked sort of (like wallgreens) its just the person had to accept the card type itself. these smaller gaming companies took on the cards as just another way to make money. I actually remember my sister asking my mom for a subway gift card thinking it was for food, so she put 50$ on it, and she ended up spending it on a chat site back in the day called imvu. Didnt realize this was such uncommon knowledge.

Honestly the driving physics in Driver is one of the best mixes between simulation and arcade.
forza horzion 1 was the only great forza game, it actually had a story and wasn't a terrible nonsensical one, it felt like it had actual effort put into it

I swear this is one of the underrated games of all time, i was played it at 2014 and this was my first game on xbox 360, it made me want to explore more story games at that time. Really gold
Man this Video drove me down memory lane. I held the world record in the mission "dragon smoke" when the servers that held the record list were taken down. I still play this game to this day and I absolutely love it. Drifting felt never as good in any other racing game that I have ever played.

I had to ride high seas for this game because, I cannot find a pc copy. But playing this game on a 4k monitor, this game holds up even in 2022. This game deserved a sequel, it is so good.

this is what happens when ubisoft makes a game that is actually fascinating. They cancel it.
They don't have plan for this game. No expansion plan.
It's better not to be in the market for Ubisoft. Otherwise the demand will rise for the game and sequel. Love for the game will increase. Then many people will not like, as much as they do, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs etc.

Many people will prefer Prince of Persia while others Assassin's Creed. Some will buy both.
Let's keep it simple for now. 2 million will buy Assassin's Creed and 2 million will buy Prince of Persia. Cost of building those game 10 + 10 = 20 million. If we take $40 as an average price, they made $160 million in revenue and $140 million in profit.
If they only made one game, people will buy 4 million copies. And they'll save $10 million dollars, time and the resources.
This is from simple economics. I can make it more complex by adding more and more franchises from Ubisoft but this is the simples way to do it.
Data+brand+feelings (if right) = profit. Don't distract your users with many different thing otherwise they won't care what you're currently doing.

I think the reason why they don't sell it is that the licenses have expired. There's a ton of cars with their brands showing and billboards about real products and I think they don't wanna renew them. This phenomenon is noticeable in my favorite game. GTA IV. The digital copies of that game apparently have muted radios and missing songs and I think that is also because of expired licensing.

im glad I have a Physical copy of this game for pc, I picked it up as a kid not knowing a thing about the game ended up replaying it over and over again and years later here we are still held onto this gem. an underrated masterpiece

A friend of mine introduced this game to be back in like 2015 and I remember getting absolutely addicted to it apart from the story and stuff the core driving experience was just fun overall the cars were fun to drive and they had a really unique lineup of cars to drive
