What makes this band so unique is their chemistry. There aren't many bands who can change not only time signatures, but also tempos at the drop of a hat. This isn't something that you can learn with math or any kind of musical formula. This can only be achieved by being able to read each other's minds. These guys know each other that well and they play as one single, musical unit. Very fucking cool.
None of it is really tempo changes it's all the drummer modulating around the same tempo to create different feels. Everything you perceive falls around the pulses his right hand creates and the perceived position of the backbeat by wherever he puts or doesn't put the snare, an easy way for him to mindfuck you is to withhold snare hits you'd be expecting and modulate to a triplet feel, or maybe even back and forth between the triplet and straight feel in one bar, technically all the same tempo tho

It's so fucking weird it almost seems to be random. It also gives me a strange feeling that I'm not sure if I like it or not. If the goal of this band is to confuse the listener as much as they can, then they fucking nailed it.

And the two from w^w that I love..... I guess centralia is just a bit too old though.... IMO, Best band in the world. Into The Moat will always be pretty up there though too..... Incredible band - discovered them opening for Animals As Leaders - and Mordial is pretty sick ( the only record of theirs I got for now ) only thing I can't get with is the "melodic" parts
