Great review Rob, a lot of features for a little cb for sure. I may have to pick one up for the occasional road trip. I especially like the FM mode. Thanks for the review!
CB's as a means of comms while traveling had been on a steady decline, and a lot of truckers say they really don't use them as much as they used to. They have them but keep them turned off or way down. I just got this radio on an Amazon deal, and the only issue I've really heard is the issue you pointed out with the antenna. Other than that, this is a sold little radio. My feeling about the FM side is that it's 30 years too late! They needed to do this in the mid 90s, not now. Truckers are NOT adopting the FM because why bother. I will say the CB is good when there's a traffic issue because that's when the truckers will actually talk on it, and you can find out why traffic is at a dead stop up ahead.
Hello dear friend, I just bought one of these radios and it looks great, I'm just now using it but when I transmit the S-meter doesn't go beyond two lines. Could it be that the radio's power is misconfigured and it's outputting with little power? I'm especially asking this because no one is listening to me. I've already read the entire manual, and I don't see any part where the output power is increased. Could you help me? I'd like to apologize in advance because I speak Spanish and I'm using Google Translate, and I could probably make a mistake. I appreciate that you could help me. Thanks Mario Vega Costa Rica

I'm glad this video helped...I think this is an excellent choice for a road trip. You can easily take it out and store it while not in use
