They have been making 12M-10M radios for a while, often under their other brands. Do not recommend increasing the wattage beyond the designed spec unless you want to cause the output transistors to wear out prematurely. Yes the radio is disabled from transmit outside its set freq range. You can go into a hidden menu and change that but i would not do so myself due to harmonics from the radio.
I was wondering what the general consensus was about this. Signal meters are quite variable so a signal report is only a rough guide. Normally you can hear a strong station i.e. fully quietening which will likely be S7 or higher.

Hi. Yes there is a lot to learn but its quite easy if you break it down in pieces. Try these videos. ruclips.net/video/K7DPQmHYwNA/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/nlLaNIq6nBo/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/xmdqjA02NQc/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/DvgmHrCYJkA/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/DvgmHrCYJkA/видео.html
@CB-RADIO-UK sweet I'll check them out soon thanks one more question just wondering is there a way to change the color of the screen lite ?
Dont think so
@CB-RADIO-UK so I got it working didn't get to check then videos out yet but I do have the channel I can hear but can't talk it says disabled
Yes the radio is disabled from transmit outside its set freq range. You can go into a hidden menu and change that but i would not do so myself due to harmonics from the radio.
the big heatsink was the 1st suspect thing i saw
Where would it be possible to buy the power-socket, you showed?
Try this. ruclips.net/video/-mU0JIR68PM/видео.html
@@CB-RADIO-UK Thank you very much. Now you are there. I watched your youtube about ATS - 20 (Si4732.) Could you recommend an antenna?
It's for a power supply for cigarette plug in - thing. to supply RETEVIS M62 CB with electricity - :)
Antenna wise it depends on what freq your listening for.
@@CB-RADIO-UK I really dont know. Im a rookie in this
It looks like a mix of an old DNT and Danita.
Yes your right.
Shame about the lack of signal meter
Yes would have been nice but many real budget models do without.
Don't think I could do without one, silly question, but are aftermarket/add on signal meters available these days?
I was wondering what the general consensus was about this. Signal meters are quite variable so a signal report is only a rough guide. Normally you can hear a strong station i.e. fully quietening which will likely be S7 or higher.
Yep, agreed. Meter would seal the deal for me.
Get me a schematic of the radio and I'll diy one at the pcb making place.
Can it be wide banded
Watch to the end.
,......and don't "like" your own comments.
I liked Andys comment.
@@CB-RADIO-UK well I liked yours,so there 😃 .
@CB-RADIO-UK well,I liked yours, so there 😃 !!
P.S. I'm not bothered at all by your hands in the video. It is a personality trait of your channel and I'm sure many more feel the same.
Hey Fred why can't you review a CB transceiver like your Friend DAVE M0OGY he did a review about the GEORGEII and the WASHINGTON! I like listening to your voice but i love the radios your friend dave has.
Dave has been doing President radios for years. I bought a Grant 2 on the strength of one of his reviews. I ve never contacted President and offered to review their radios. I always wait for an offer.
or you connect a frequency counter..;)
Get yourself a frequency counter open it up be a great radio
