Congratulations our dear neighbors for the engineering feat. We are impressed in Kenya because we know with the extra capacity in your country, you will sell the extra power to us. Kudos to the great leadership in your beloved country.
WOW!! WOW!! I wonder if US is now going to change history or still tell americans uganda is just a safari. Never give up. keep multiplying. overcome issues and help one another!
This documentary has boosted my love for my country, thanks to the government (HE the president, all officials in the ministry of energy. The engineers) and the Chinese government for the symbiotic cooperation.
greetings from Brazil God bless the lovely Uganda country and Uganda people hope more and more dams with clean energy to come congrats China and Uganda for this friendy cooperation
They will keep helping by passing down knowledge, keep building infrastructures, building more beautiful families(🙋🏿♀️♀️+🙋🏻♂️🇨🇳❤), develop agro domains and army trainings etc etc Africa let s go !
Good Narrative and cooperation for such projects. Let's strengthen accountability and review consumer costs and you manage such national supporting projects.
Certainly, it is a great achievement for the country. I hope all citizens have their homes electrified. Of course, some want, but due to high cost they can't afford, especially the poor, and as money oriented people, they don't consider the plights of the poor. But, let this development really bring change for all the Ugandans and neighbours.
Uganda with suitable sections along the Nile can do more. Kenya with an installed capacity of about the total power production of both Uganda and Tanzania combined needs this power to run its industries in Kenya's industrial manufacturing sector.
People in Africa must diligently learn and understand how much work goes into planning, designing, building and commissioning power stations If you do you will not hesitate to pay your fair share of utilities. If everyone pays then there will be funds to deliver power to.more people. You have to pay taxes etc so governments don't have to borrow from others to fund major projects.
Well saided but why power is ever off and on and same time it took 2days no power ,say for export buy citizen are suffering paying bill but power is off and on .
Why is electricity still too expensive for Ugandan consumers than it is for the countries Uganda sells its electricity to? (Countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Congo)
@@aryasingurahezron6648 you don’t need to depend on electricity on the grid alone. People need to be “sensitized to have several sources of power in order to live a good quality life. Sources such as solar energy, natural or propane gas including electricity should be required for every household especially in Uganda. Uganda with plenty of sunshine, i see why Solar power are not use widely. Solar energy could provide power for lights and refrigeration, during have load shedding or when the power on grid is down. As for the cooking, Natural or propane gas would be use.
Keep museveni in power. Uganda will see prosperity . He understands the west and there funny games. Africa don't need that. We need action and not empty words and lies of the west
yes, we african need free road, free port, free electricity and free hospital, free education, make the chinese pay for africa is okay. After chinese pay, we kick the chinese out of africa, we are happy.
5000MW not 12000MW... Ethiopia is hoping to have 12000MW by 2030. They are pretty close. Makes you wonder. What did the British, French Portuguese do in africa for 409 years except to take things and people away
Uganda will very soon become the new Germany and likely the largest economy in Africa.if it deliberately invites n accommodates skilled engineers from rest of Africa its already there.clearly seeing electricity as the new oil going forward, the African saudi Arabia of electricity.and we won't wait invites,we are coming over, beating the door down
Good project, but the cost of power is too high. Electricity and water are two of the utilities with high prices in uganda. Due to low income per person, people will be shy to connect their houses. Secondly, people in kampala, wakiso, are still experiencing power blackout every day. What is wrong with uganda? Since the 1990s, when I was still a young man, power in uganda has never been stable at all, but you hear exports of electricity to Kenya, Rwanda, TZ, and South Sudan. This is unacceptable. Growing up in darkness and also my kids to experience the same.
This is very unthoughtful of you. If we have been experiencing blackouts, then this will absorb the frequency of the blackouts. And maybe, we could add more villages to the national grid.
@AHOLIAB-ho7en How come we are exporting power when the indigenous population lacks power? Isn't that thoughtful? First, satisfy the domestic demand before you embark on making other nations happy.
This project is totally not helping ugandans when the price of electricity is still very high and loadshedding everyday neighbouring countries are the ones benefiting

Uganda, Tanzania and DRC are so blessed with fresh water and they could feed and provide energy to the whole sub Sahara Africa
We need more documentaries like these showcasing the progress being registered in Uganda.
Thank you.

It is good effort to usr river nile by all nations through which it flows.use of river resources is way to development.
Marvelous job Ugana. Bright future is clear for ugandans. You have to prepare to use the dam for irrigation , industry and house hold use. ✌️🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Africa needs to think deeply about the future of their children. Hopefully, China will continue to help the people of African for the sake of humanity

The largest hydropower im east africa is in Tanzania with 2115MW
Its great move for Uganda.yes anything is possible
Congratulations, Uganda. 🇺🇬 Soon Egypt will start crying over the Uganda dam project. I am happy that Africa is standing up and using its resources

Dear, china congratulations are doing a great job and support to Ugandan❤
I’m proud of you Irene Nebeta
AFRICA IS THE FUTURE ❤️❤️❤️🕊CHINA 🤝AFRICA 🕊❤️❤️❤️
I see Tanzania also has the biggest waterfall in Africa !. These trained Ugandas engineers should go there to take up that project themself ?
Uganda with suitable sections along the Nile can do more. Kenya with an installed capacity of about the total power production of both Uganda and Tanzania combined needs this power to run its industries in Kenya's industrial manufacturing sector.
Thank you Mr. PRESIDENT ❤❤❤.
You are doing an excellent job but kindly reduce the cost of electricity its too costly for a common consumer
People in Africa must diligently learn and understand how much work goes into planning, designing, building and commissioning power stations

Here in kenya the only word is tumetenga, tutatenga, tumepanga. The most corrupt president in Africa is William samoei Ruto
This is good
Promising for a better future

Regina thomas president ugandas❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Well saided but why power is ever off and on and same time it took 2days no power ,say for export buy citizen are suffering paying bill but power is off and on .
Foreign currency needed sometimes to help pay back loans it only comes with exporting the electricity to other countries, who later pays in
Nice to see our own Ugandans building positively
THINGS WITH.. APOLLO.. NAME.. CAN'T BE. GOOD IN THIS HOLLYEST CANAN LAND PEARL OF AFRICA UGANDA ❤❤❤❤
🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬the way i love my president museveni may God bless you ❤
Hydro power is still extremely expensive in Uganda!
Who said life is cheap 😂
Museveni on the road driving very well
State of the art 👌👌
Why is electricity still too expensive for Ugandan consumers than it is for the countries Uganda sells its electricity to? (Countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Congo)
And loadshedding is still a problem this project totally it's not helping ugandans

Keep museveni in power. Uganda will see prosperity . He understands the west and there funny games. Africa don't need that. We need action and not empty words and lies of the west
We require to reduce the price of power in different parts of Uganda that is the online way will be benefits
yes, we african need free road, free port, free electricity and free hospital, free education, make the chinese pay for africa is okay. After chinese pay, we kick the chinese out of africa, we are happy.
I thank prsdt Museveni for the work.
Energy drives the economy
But I had in TZ some damz were closed due to over production of electricity in in the country
Why isn't Egypt raising a case against this project as compared to GRD in Ethiopia?I thought the Nile is the source of water for both projects.
Tanzania is generating more than 3000MW by 2024
EXPORTING ELECTRICITY SOUNDS STUPID FOR UGANDA. CANT WE USE IT FOR PRODUCTION OF EXPORT GOODS!!!. How GDP is worrying
Most of engineers are from ONE TRIBE...
One tribe, one world❤😊
But we are still facing load shading in Uganda
Load shading nor raod sir😂
Pl see that damed water is partly used for agriculture, industry, household.
Woow
The politics of fighting each other (Devide of Invera) must be stopped by the western countries in Africa. 🖐️
What about solar PV?
Proudly Ugandan but M7 has done enough😅
The people of Uganda are restricted by your rivers, and the people are brought out of poverty, your brother from Ethiopia😊
We will move to campala,africa
must invest home.
Still power remains expensive
May God bless president Museveni ❤
Great engineering
Now you understand why Ethiopia is dealing with the giant mega dam over 12000 megawatts, Karuma 600 megawatts is like a joke.
5000MW not 12000MW... Ethiopia is hoping to have 12000MW by 2030. They are pretty close. Makes you wonder. What did the British, French Portuguese do in africa for 409 years except to take things and people away
Karuma has never been in Kiryadongo district. Typical no desire for basic facts....
In which district is it?
Thank you President museveni but let the Ugandans first benefit before our neighbor hoods

When Alsisi hear this news he will start crying immediately because he did not want African development other than his desert country

Too many people wanting electric things at the same time. Hard to keep up.
Electric lines have to run thru easy to access sites.
Museveni really doing things I thought he was an old dinosaur just sitting around and talking but iam surprise to learn that his doing a lot of stuffs
This project is totally not helping ugandans when the price of electricity is still very high and loadshedding everyday neighbouring countries are the ones benefiting
Why still power outages in Uganda?????
Electricity transmission system problems.
Everyone can build dam in Nile river
